We have worked with Cyrus Interiors (Shirley Wickman) 3x since 2006 and have loved each experience. Shirley has great ideas but also listens to us and doesn't push ideas that we do not like. I feel like it's a real collaboration working with Shirley, so we end up with our own style, but with her terrific ideas and coordination. I also like that she is very comfortable with small jobs, so to date we've just worked on different small areas in our house, and she's perfectly OK with that. She understands budgeting while also steering us to quality pieces. I also really like the subcontractors that she's introduced to us, in particular Keith Hibbard, who is a terrific carpenter. Cyrus Interiors is awesome. Shirley gave us personal attention and helped us make the best decorating decisions. We were overwhelmed after moving into a much larger and more formal home. Shirley gave us the expert advice we needed. The furniture is top quality and gorgeous. She helped us pick the perfect paint colors, wallpaper, light fixtures, beautiful window treatments, draperies, and even pillows! Shirley Wickman is one of the most talented designers out there. She is a consummate professional, with creative ways to complete a project in a cost effective manner. She is exceptional in providing the kind of personal service you need for a design project. She promptly returns call, responds to requests quickly, and takes personal responsibility for getting the job done. But of course most important is her design talent. Shirley has a way of getting a client to see a room in a new and fresh way. She takes one out of their comfort zone to create truly one of a kind rooms that are functional and beautiful. After spending four months working with two very amateur designers, and possibly the most painful “redesign” in the history of office remodels… we found Shirley and it was perfect. Shirley is truly a professional. She has an understanding of design and she isn’t afraid to tell you what is good, what is bad, and what NEEDS to be fixed. Because we had worked with another designer before her and wasted money, Shirley understood that we had a budget and that we needed to be reasonable. Her prices are high, but WELL worth it to have quality furniture in your space. Most of the people we talked to and dealt with before Shirley wanted almost as much money for what we considered “modular” furniture. We have completed our redesign with Shirley and are constantly getting compliments on everything she did. She is very creative and thinks outside of the box. Finally, one issue with other designers and people in the “sales” and service industry is that they disappear the second the check is signed. Shirley is quite the opposite. Having finished the redesign, Shirley will still text me with ideas or thoughts, she even will text or call me back if I just have a small question regarding washing, cleaning, or even if a picture looks good hung where it is. Shirley is great to work with, she is the type of person you want to have a drink with after the day is over. It has been a pleasure and we will use Shirley for all future redesigns and remodels. Cyrus Interiors is very easy to work with to fulfill your dream room. My ideas were shaped and refined by Shirley's keen eye and expertise for interior design Her attention to the smallest of details to achieve a final product was excellent. She provided a manageable amount of options as not to overwhelm me. A financial plan was estimated and she worked hard to stay within the limits. Shirley brings a youthful, modern approach to her designs and she has really beautiful taste! She's also smart and funny and warm as a person.
I love reading about interior design and she showed me what a really good designer can do. She has a vision of what can be and leads her client in the right direction, with plenty of choices along the way at every price point. She persuaded us to go bold on the dining room wallpaper and to rip out a massive rock wall fireplace in the family room, two decisions I would be too timid to make on my own but were the keys to the outstanding results. She introduced me to manufacturers that sell only to the trade and offer the highest quality and design that are not available to retail shoppers. My husband thanks me daily for the vast improvement in our home and I thank Shirley for her wonderful work! More...

What I like most about Shirley Wickman's designs is the interchangeability of the pieces she uses. Although each room is unique there is still an overall cohesiveness to the home. A bedroom chair looks right "at home" in the living room and a lamp from the guest room can be brought to the family room. More...

Shirley Wickman is a truly gifted designer, but with a very practical approach to design which is rare. She is very sensitive to budget and long term goals. Maybe the best thing about Shirley is that she is not afraid to share her opinion and even though I have had doubts, I have learned that Shirley is always right. Perhaps as important is Shirley's dedication to service - she promptly returns phone calls and follows through on her commitments. More...
