I hired Cynthia for my October wedding, and unfortunately she ruined my entire event and day that I can’t get back. I was having a smaller sized wedding (30 people) and wanted to have someone do the decorating/coordinating so my mom and i wouldn’t be stressed and running around the day of. We had many meetings and emails about my vision, what I wanted, and what she would be doing. When we originally met I took a picture of what she wrote would be provided for the amount she was charging us, she wrote that it would include bar service/servers, decorations, lights, and setup/break down. She also kept restating that she would be the one coordinating and handling everything the day of. We hired her and one of the first things she told us was that we had to buy the flowers for decorating, as it wasn’t in the budget for her to purchase, even though flowers were the first thing i mentioned wanting in our meeting for decorations and she said she would be covering decorations. We let is slide as I did not want to have issues and just wanted things to run smoothly. The day of my wedding I arrived at my venue to get ready an hour and a half prior to the ceremony and absolutely nothing was decorated and she was nowhere to be found. She texted me the day before that she would be at the venue the night before to decorate and set up, she wasn’t even there. She sent a few people to set up and they had no idea what they were doing since she hardly gave them any instructions. Because of this, one of the main decorations I had told her about (a wall of string lights with a see through curtain behind where I sat) was never put up, the bubbles for my guests to blow when we walked back down the aisle after the ceremony were never put on the seats, and I was being approached as I was about to walk down the aisle with questions about the decorations because they still hadn’t finished setting up! We also wanted a cocktail hour where she said the servers would be handing out the wine we bought, this never happened. When I was signing my marriage license and taking pictures my guests were just standing outside doing nothing. My mother had to run around the entire time telling the servers what to do and how to do it and I hardly got any time with her because of it. My brother called Cynthia to ask where she was, she was at another event. I saw on her social media it was an event that hired her as coordinator, dj, and minister. Because we did not hire her for all three she dismissed us, she won’t care about your event if it means there is a bigger one for her to make more money. One of her workers took a card my uncle had for me with money in it and it went “missing” so I lost that sentimental card forever. After the fact she said she would refund less than half the money we paid her, and kept texting me as I was on my honeymoon about what happened despite me asking her to have all further communication with my mom as I was on my honeymoon. She refunded the full amount and then cancelled the refund. We disputed with the bank because she did not do her job and was incredibly deceitful throughout. Five stars all the way! From the moment I contacted CYN LUX Events, “Cynthia” she was so responsive and accommodating. I was not sure of the type of party I wanted, but Cynthia has great ideas!
The venue came out beautiful from the table set up, dessert table, charcuterie stand, DJ, and Photographer this company does and has it all.
The staff was very attentive to guests and kept things organized and flowing. The quality of the work is exceptional, and I could not be any happier with the results. I do not write many reviews, but this company truly deserves to shine.

Working with Cynthia and Mirna was so wonderful! Cynthia is amazing to work with she is professional and orderly and makes sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. She choreographed my daughters quinceanera with 14 teenagers she made sure everyone was in sync and in took the time to ensure that all of the kids knew the dance and felt comfortable. What inspired you to start your own business?
I used to plan all my family and friends events for fun. After 20 years of doing it for fun I decided to share my skills with everyone. It brings me joy to see the client enjoying themselves instead of stressing or working on their special night. Let me handle it all so you can enjoy with family and friends!

I am very detailed, thorough, consistent and overall very particular in how I complete every event. I create milestones and like to make sure I deliver what you expected and more. What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We constantly wash our hands, wear gloves, sometimes masks, use sanitizer and maintain space. Covid taught us one real lesson and that is that health starts with us.
Bilingual Wedding Officiant
I am a Spanish/English Wedding Officiant in the Southern part of California from Los Angeles to San Ysidro and points in between.
