Katy, is the best! She is extremely talented and professional. She managed the makeup and hair timeline for my wedding in Cambria California, this June 2018. She makes magic, to including making happy and calm a bridal party of 10 (plus the bride).My makeup was just perfect. But most importantly the 2 moms makeup was absolutely beautiful and lasted the entire party :) I had the opportunity to do a trial in March, and the luck to have Katy do my Rehearsal Dinner Makeup as well, and I can't thank her enough for her always trying to make me happy. I booked Katy for my wedding on May 12, 2018 in Paso Robles and she couldn't have done a better job. She did makeup for a total of 8 girls all by herself, and she truly didn't complain once or express she needed a break. Everything the bridesmaids wanted, Katy made sure to perform and give everyone what they wanted plus more. Every girl absolutely loved their makeup including myself as well as my mom. Katy is the most talented, skilled, creative, and professional makeup artist my girlfriend or I have ever seen. For our anniversary my girlfriend wanted to have her makeup done professionally. I made some calls and was able to get a hold of Katy right away. I explained the situation and asked if she could come to our house and do my girlfriends make-up before we went out. Katy didn't hesitate in saying yes, and was able to fit us in even though it was short notice. She only charged a small fee to cover her gas for travel, which was more than reasonable. Katy arrived about 5 minutes early, and called us letting us know when she was about 20 minutes away. My girlfriend gave Katy a picture of a couple different looks she liked, and Katy was able to execute the look perfectly. Honestly, we both thought she actually did a better job than what these celebrities' makeup artists had done. She also did eyelashes, which looked incredible... these were not those cheesy fake eyelashes. They were attached lash by lash and looked very natural. My girlfriend was so sad when they ended up coming off the following week. Katy estimated how long it would take for her to do the makeup and eyelashes, and actually finished a few minutes early. The end result was stunning. In the words of my girlfriend, she had never felt more beautiful. From the first call, to the finished job, Katy could not have been more professional. She was on time, did an amazing job, was incredibly friendly, and provided an amazing service. We have referred Couture Makeup to all of our friends including one of our friends who has an upcoming wedding. Let me start off by saying that Katy is one of the nicest people I know.  Katy did my makeup for my wedding! I had a makeup trial with a different makeup artist and I didn't feel like a bride I felt like I was made up to go to a club. My finance now husband recommend Katy. She is a good friend of his and now a friend of mine. I was very nervous but Katy made me feel so comfortable every step of the way. She made me look and feel like a bride. Katy paid close attention to what I was saying and went above and beyond. False eyelashes are a must. The way Katy did my makeup looked so pretty in person and stunning in my pictures. She knows her stuff! She explained to me how my makeup would stand out in my pictures and she was right. :) I got so many compliments and other girls were asking me who did my makeup. Katy Davis is amazing! First off, she is the sweetest person ever.....So easy to talk to and spend time with; after a few make up trials I felt like we were friends! So to start, I am extremely picky about my makeup...I'm such a perfectionist and had never had my makeup done before, typically I do it myself. When katy and I did our first trial she walked through every step, asking me what I liked and disliked, looking at different ideas and making small tweaks. What is so amazing is that she was so open to suggestions and any changes I wanted, she wasn't offended she simply wanted me to be the most happy I could be with my makeup.It took us two trials to get it perfect and I could not have been more happy!! On the day of, I could not have asked for more. I loved my makeup and it stayed on all night! And then there were all my 8 bridesmaids and my mom, which she did all of! Each person looked more beautiful from the next; the make up was flawless but not over the top. I couldn't have imagined all of the girls looking more beautiful, and my mom, wow, she looked amazing! So this is an update to my earlier review. Katy did my makeup for my wedding last month and I never felt so beautiful, which is exactly how a bride should feel on her wedding day. She made my makeup look good not just in person, but in photos too. She is very easy to work with in the makeup chair and has the most amazing makeup kit I've ever seen. False eyelashes are a must. I'd never worn them before, and was a little nervous about them, but they were easy to put on and they really do add to the look in photos. Makes your eyes really pop. Mish Mucho was the other half of my beauty team that day (the two often work together) and with those two you can't go wrong!I did a television appearance a few months ago and Katy did my makeup for that too. I'm not sure how well I performed for the TV spot, but at least I know I looked good! More...

Katy did the make-up for my bridal shower and wedding. She is an amazing person and does an amazing job. She did me, my 7 bridesmaids, and 3 mothers. It was a long day! I wish I could give her 5 stars but when it comes to the business side of her company she is disorganized. I had my makeup done by Katy for my wedding and she is fantastic. First was a trial so that both of us are on the same page. I hired Katy for my wedding day. She did makeup on my 3 bridesmaids, my Mom, & myself. We all looked amazing & her makeup lasted ALL DAY & NIGHT! She has this wonderful way of making you feel like you look like yourself-only better! I also had multiple trials done before my wedding day (engagement party, bachelorette party, & engagement session). I looked forward to everytime I was able to get dolled up by her! I've had my makeup done by Katy 3 times now!!! Because she's awesome! Katy did all the makeup at my sisters wedding a few years ago and did such a great job that I hired her for my wedding this past August. She is so good at what she does! She is so fun and gets along with everyone! She did 7 girls makeup at my wedding so we had our makeup on all day. It was SO hot and I was so afraid it was going to melt off right away but trust her when she says, it will last ALL night! Katy is amazing and just SUCH a sweetheart! I loved having my makeup done by her, and she did an amazing job. I was 1 of 6 bridesmaids. She did us all and we all looked fabulous and LOVED it. Katy is truly a master of her craft. I am extremely picky and usually don't love when other people do my makeup. I have known Katy for years now and she has done my makeup for nights out in Vegas, numerous weddings, my own wedding, and photo shoots. She somehow managed to do makeup on myself, my mother, mother in law, and 11 bridesmaids mostly on her own, when her assistant was no longer available at the last minute. My girls looked beautiful and Katy remained calm and professional. If you want your makeup done right Katy is your girl. Katy truly know her stuff. Makeup and hair is an art form and Katy is truly an artist! I had her do a makeup a few times and it always looks beautiful! She also helped me pick out some makeup that looks great for my eye-color and shape. I've never ever gotten complements on my makeup until now. Katy Davis, the owner of Couture Makeup, is quite honestly the most impressive individual I worked with throughout all of my wedding planning and execution. I found Couture Makeup after doing 3 run-throughs with other makeup artists in the San Diego area. Without naming names, I will say that Katy went above and beyond any of the other vendors and artists that we hired for the wedding. From the first time meeting her at the run through (which she was actually 15 minutes early to) to the Big Day, Katy was the sweetest, most personable, and professional woman I have ever had the pleasure of hiring. Her personality is truly one of a kind, it seemed like we had been best friends for years! I knew after meeting her that my makeup was going to be the last thing I needed to worry about for my wedding day. Her prices were more than fair, even with her not only doing my makeup but 8 other womens, including my bridesmaids, my mother and my husbands mother.

All I can say is that I have never felt more beautiful than how Katy made me feel on my special day. The makeup was on par with that of what I grew up seeing in magazines and in movies. My team of bridesmaids all felt the same way. If I could give one recommendation for a vendor that I used for my wedding (which believe me was a ton) it wouldnt even be a question, Couture Makeup; Katy Davis, gets mine without hesitation. Katy of Couture Makeup was absolutely amazing. She was honest & professional from the first contact we had to the trial to the day of my wedding. I had a very thorough makeup trial with Katy where she not only applied different makeup styles, but also taught me about makeup techniques as she went. On my wedding day, Katy did makeup for 10 women, which was quite an exhausting task I'm sure. None of the women had any complaints and appreciated the time and personalization Katy took on each of them. We all received compliments on our makeup the entire night. Katy was a blessing in disguise for my wedding and literally saved my wedding day along with the pictures. My husband and I had tried out a few larger vendors but it was personal enough. I felt like another number and that I wasnt special to them. When they looked at me it was like all they saw was money. I booked my makeup artist exactly 2 months before the wedding. On the Monday before the wedding my artist canceled on me and I almost had a panic attack. Not only was my makeup in the balance, my 7 bridesmaids along with my Mothers was as well. With a fast search i started looking again and only to find these vendors that seemed like I was nothing unique to them, like this wasnt my day or something. I came across Couture Makeup and read about Katy and right away I was speechless. It sounded like she knew exactly what she was capable of, which was beyond anything i have ever seen before. I am usually nervous the first time I meet people and given my wedding was 5 days away i was super nervous knowing I was meeting Katy just a few hours after I called her which she responded to on the first call. When i first met Katy I was taken away at how beautiful she was, and how she carried herself with her friendly outgoing personality and her "can do" attitude. The conversation went well and Katy completely understood the style I was looking for. I have always loved going into the MAC stores and getting a little make over done but when Katy told me she worked for MAC and was certified and could make me look like that the day I were to talk down the isle I was speechless. Now here comes my most nervous part, telling her how big my bridal party including my mother was. Katy responded without a hesitant answer and in her inspiring voice said that it wouldnt be a problem at all. We went over the contract and I booked her on the spot! The morning of the wedding was overwhelmingly amazing. Katy worked so well, and so admireable that I have never seen such a thing. She is not afraid to tell you what works and what doesnt work, in a polite way of course. When Katy was all done with me I was in shock of how great I looked. It was this all natural, everything I had ever wanted on my dream day to be, and thanks to Katy she made it come true. My mother was greatly impressed along with all of my friends and when my husband lifted my vail I had never seen such a look of awe in his eyes before.
