First and foremost, much gratitude to the wonderful staff, to include those who pour much love into making the smoky, juicy, tender, savory, melt in your mouth slightly fatty, and DELICIOUS briskets. My former Director recommended this place, since him and his family are meat lovers, and he was SPOT ON about how awesome this place is. The habanero sauce is hands down THE BEST BBQ sauce I ever had so far, and isn't as spicy as expected, and we’ve traveled to many states, to include the ones known for their BBQ.My husband makes it very obvious that he LOVES it here, with his grunting sounds, along with his “Mmmm’s” and blissful facial expressions as though he’s in heaven. He’s not even like that with my cooking. Anyhoo, I fully enjoy it as well, and we’ve been spreading the word to others.Also, thank you to the recent staff from last night: Amber, who took our order, seemed authentic, and was friendly, informative, and helpful. She even recommended a beer I had never tried before, called Hazey Angel, which was like a citrusy, malt flavor that was pretty interesting, and it grew on me by the sip, though it initially made my small eyes open wide from the intense flavor. When the Bartender, John, brought over the beer, though the interaction was very brief, he seemed so personable and magnetic with his outgoing and gentleman-like demeanor and genuine smile. Paloma, who checked on us a few times, and cleared our table, seemed like a gentle, kind soul. I wish for her and the rest of the staff to receive much appreciation, since customer service related jobs can be very challenging, especially with so many different people visiting from around the world. I also hope that they make great tips! If not, then we, as the collective, can pick up our game in the generosity department. My husband, inlaws, and I are in from out of town and decided to check out Colt 804 Grill. We were not disappointed! The food was really good. They served up generous portions at reasonable prices. We liked the decor--thought it fit their theme very nicely. The homemade sauces were tasty and unique. My husband and I split a burger and shared a basket of fries. Let me start with I expressed my concern of going to Colt Grill with my mother bc she was targeting a vegitarian gluten free meal. There was no need - they had kitchen made veggie burger patties and gluten free buns (appreciated the spicy flavor profiles).
