We heard about Brian Sugerman from a mutual friend and acquaintances who all raved about him. We had 6 private lessons in our home. The lessons were all practical and tailored to our puppy’s needs. Brian’s expertise is evident in the techniques he uses. I had never heard of clicker training before and was a bit skeptical, but it really works! We cannot recommend Brian highly enough. He's worked with several of our dogs, training pet and owner alike. From sit / stay and heel to activities designed to calm rambunctiousness and make our pups better co-hosts when guests come over, his training helps us help our pets socialize with others. It's also lowered their anxiety - and ours, too. When I first started looking for trainers, I made several phone calls and tried a couple of trainers (who did not work out) until I finally found Brian! He was referred to me by my friend Monica who works at Chewy.
I have been working with Brian for a few months now and he is doing a great job training my puppy Charlie, and also training me 😀
Charlie has effectively learned some great things including ringing the bell so we can open the door when he needs to go out (this has been my favorite!) Charlie LOVES Brian and they have a special way to understand each other and communicate (I'm trying to learn too) and Charlie reponds to Brian very effectively. Brian is an amazingly talented dog trainer, he is patient, knowledgable and focused on positive reinforcement. I was really unsure I would be able to adequately care for the 3-month-old puppy I just brought home. I tried crate/potty training for a week and wasn’t seeing much progress. With very few words, Brian established rapport with the dog and my family, taking us through the basics of clicker training and demonstrating its effectiveness brilliantly. He used analogies to human behavior and reward to solidify concepts of positive reinforcement, language, and giving commands. Most importantly, what he provided was inspiration to continue with the dog despite my challenging experiences.
He even gave us a bag of high-quality treats and a clicker for no cost!

just completed a six-week training session with Brian for my dog Rupert. Brian is terrific: compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, friendly and really understands dogs—their habits, behavior and shortcomings. Rupert is seven and had some habits I wanted corrected. I thought he was too old to learn, but Brian disproved that. With the right trainer, no dog is too old. And Brian is the right trainer. And Rupert responded extremely well to the click training. I have a 3 year old golden doodle that never got any proper training until now.
I was worried that being three years old was a little late however Brian has shown me that with positive reinforcement and cluck training it is never too late.
My dog has had a total around from her bad habits to hood habits over the last 6 weeks.
Of course it take me learning as well as my dog and consistency.
I am very pleased with what she learned so far and look forward to the next few lessons.

Hiring Brian to help train our 70 lb. 8 month old lab was the Best thing we ever did. I have had dogs my whole life but I quickly learned that a labrador is a very different kind of dog. Brian taught us the things that really matter in day-to-day life with our puppy. We had a huge problem with her play biting and Brian taught us ways to stop the behavior and it worked. He also showed us how to train her to come when called, to stay, walk beside us and to sit when we stop, and many other great things. I highly highly highly recommend hiring Brian. I met Brian 6 years ago when I adopted Maxine a 7 week old Goldendoodle. Brian worked wonders with Maxine. Since, I have recommended him to several people who got puppies. They also were so pleased with the results. Back in March I adopted another 10 week old, Goldendoodle named Brandi. Once again, I called Brian for his expertise. He has worked with Brandy and did miracles as only Brian could. My two dogs are well behaved although Brandi is still a puppy, but doing wonderful. We had Brian come train our 4 year old yorkie/schnauzer dog, for 6 sessions.violet had very high volume anxiety, he was very patient with violet and taught myself and my family how to work with her just like the he was doing. Please read this review as I sincerely want to provide feedback on Brian and his skills. At 46 years old I became a dog owner for the first time. Our Australian Shepard Puppy is great and my daughter loves. Nonetheless we needed some real help with basic training. I thought i could do it but quickly realized I cant and needed help. I contacted Brian and saw his STRONG REVIEWS. After 10 mins of speaking with him i know this was the best and most cost effective option in Broward County. Brian is great! When I got Loki, a German shepherd puppy, I started basic training on my own. It’s been almost 10 years since I had a puppy and quickly knew I needed some help and guidance. Brian is extremely knowledgeable and is so patient. During each session Brian worked directly with Loki, and would then work with me and taught me how to be successful. He helped me to better understand the steps to take and discussed the reasoning behind these steps. My relationship with my puppy is so much better now. Our walks and playtime are so much more enjoyable. And I am happy to say that Loki is much better behaved and so willing to learn more.
