I want to thank Chef Betters for hosting our birthday brunch while we were in Las Vegas. When I reached out to other chefs I was turned away because I had a party of three. Chef Betters took the challenge no matter the size of the party. To start the energy level of her team was revitalizing. Now lets get into the food. Baaaaby when I tell you some of the best eggs in my life. The biscuits and gravy was so delicious and moist , the bacon ,salmon crockets' , shrimp and grits, fresh fruit was amazing. To top it off the tiramisu cake was to die for!!The table setting and decorations were beautiful. I gave Chef Betters my vision and she brought it to life. I wish I could post a picture of how beautiful the setting were. Orange was the guest of honors favorite color and Chef Betters transferred the vision from my head and brought it to life!! From the orange linens, flowers and beautiful place settings we were truly amazed! I highly recommend using Chef Betters, you will have an experience of a lifetime! Where do I begin!
My 3 siblings and I recently spent 7 nights in Las Vegas and Chef Betters prepared 13 (breakfast and dinner) meals during that time period.
The dinner meals included gumbo, fried fish, fried chicken, collard greens, fried corn, rice, greek salad, corn bread, pasta dishes, bacon cheese burgers, sweet potato's, Benihana night, brisket, garlic mash potato's, chili-with each meal having her unique signature twist to it! Her "simple breakfast's" were also amazing-her hash browns were the best we ever had as was her truly something special shrimp and grits!
Chef Betters really loves cooking and it shows in her combination of spices that allow the quality of her food to (not too overly seasoned) speak for itself.
If asked to characterize the Chef's skills in a few words I would say efficiency and effectiveness whereby the realization exceeded our expectations!
Trust me when I say this:
"You Can't Do Better, Than Chef Betters"!

Hired her for my Wife's 40th Birthday Party in Vegas in the Spa Suite at the Golden Nugget. She arrived 1.5 hours late at agreed upon time. She came with all food in disposable trays. Once tray covers were taken off it was evident that food had been sitting for some time in these warmers. Enchilada appetizers were a tray of enchilada casserole and a bag of Tostitos Chips...... This was not the service I requested. Food taste was bland. Bread appetizers ( Bruschetta), instead of being crisp bread, was soggy and tasteless. Silverware was left downstairs forcing me to have to leave the party to go get it. Stated that she was late because she was having to sign her house offer. It was a lunch birthday party and a house blessing at the same time. I have few visitors who left already as they cannot wait(food is 3 hours late). Iam disappointed and humiliated that my visitors are starving on my special party event. Presentation was sacrificed as well as they are in a hurry to put everything out. Haven't had the time to write an honest review since our experience with Chef Betters. But here it is, finally.
We hosted a birthday party event back in end of June 2021.
We found Chef Betters on a website called the bark. Our experience overall was not bad, and the food was great.
But lets get into detail
Food wise, everything was amazing. But something we would suggest to Chef Betters to better her business would be to compensate just a little bit more on food portions and not an exact number. For example, our wedding caterer was top notch. Even though we told our wedding caterer we had 130 guests, she went above and beyond to compensate for about 135-140 guests. We never ran out of food. Again, Chef Betters food was amazing. We asked Chef Betters to cook for a party of 30, which she did, but no one could go for seconds if wanted. Also, to include the food style was presented as Buffet. Our wedding was also Buffet style. Then, just to add we paid for all the food that was provided, and had some left over dessert. Which chef betters left with at the end of the night. Never understood why that happened since the client (us ) should be able to leave with any leftovers if any since all food was paid for by the client (us ).
As a business. They were available at any moment and responded quickly. Which i absolutely appreciated. One mistake we made on our end was not checking our invoice thoroughly because not every item was made as discussed because it wasn't on our invoice. So, please, any future clients check your invoice and make sure the price is correct and each item verbally discussed and agreed to is on paper. Chef Betters was also accomodating to budget. Which i thought was fantastic. She offered more than enough food options for $30/head. But again check your invoice as an honest mistake was made on our end and we missed out on a couple dishes that were discussed verbally for $30/head but did not end up on our invoice. The food missed out on were 2 types of salads. Not a big deal, but still missed out on. Food is food, and Chef Betters food was delicious. Also, to add not only was she budget friendly but also super nice on being flexible when expecting a deposit. So, im sure she will be more than accomodating if you ask about a payment plan, maybe? She could tweak her business rules/policies. But you'll never know if you dont ask
Chef Betters did provide dinner ware at no additional cost. So, that was pretty nice. She even was accomodating with her chef outfit since we asked if her and her team could wear red per the Birthday celebrants favorite color was red.
So, overall not bad at all. Just some critiques and really friendly people to work with. Hope this helps everyone, including Chef Betters Thankyou for taking time to read!
