Last night me & Brian got dinner from New South Food Truck & let me tell you it was delicious! We both had shrimp & grits with a side of fried green tomatoes ❤️ Loved the added mushrooms to the shrimp & grits, the sauce was right on! WOW! The smell swooshed through my windows as I was driving by and caused me to have an immediate drooling reaction, which caused a chain reaction forcing me to turn around and enter the parking lot the truck was set up in. I wasn’t even sure of what kind of food they had, but it smelled delicious! I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and it was the BEST I have ever had! A perfect combination of flavors between the fresh veggies and Italian sausage gravy. It was so perfectly cooked that my plastic cutlery sliced right through every tomato, mushroom and even the shrimp! As soon as I got back to my car with the food, that distinct, delicious smell began to overwhelm my car and I had to open it right then and there! It wasn’t until about 15 minutes later, after I had got done scraping every grit in site, that I thought to take a picture. As you can tell by the cleanly slurped shrimp shells, I sucked them things like they were crawfish heads! 10/10 recommend! More...

Their Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer was outstanding, wish they served a big plate of it. The pork belly sandwich with fries topped with truffle oil was delicious. I also had the creamed collards, so unusual but tasty. My son who’s vegetarian and very picky had the vegan Monster Hash with a side of succotash. He raved about it! My fam had the shrimp and grits, the jelly belly, and the pulled pork tonight. We all loved our meals. We also enjoys the extra sides we ordered - mac ‘n cheese and creamed collards. The crew was struggling with the gas flow to some of the equipment tonight, but it didn’t keep them from delivering three great meals. It just took them a little longer than they might have liked, but it was well worth the wait! They will work that bug out soon enough and we will look forward to our next meal there.
