I booked Carolyn via a wedding show, and felt like I got a great value for the amount spent. Our package included an engagement shoot, which really helped us to get to know her and feel more comfortable with being photographed. Just our engagement shoot alone was approximately 3 hours netted over 200 edited pictures! We also had a ton of edited wedding pictures, as well... so nice to be able to have so many to choose from! Carolyn (and her husband, and her son, even, who came along as an assistant on our engagement shoot) are all so sweet and genuine, and you really feel so comfortable and like you have a friend shooting you. I always felt like if I needed to, I could text/call/email her. Plus, (I won't spoil the surprise) her presentation with the portfolio as well as the finished items are just beautiful and really just add a cherry on top! Would definitely recommend her services. Carolyn is a sweet, sweet lady and really tries to capture the moment. She takes her time and truly loves what she does. She responds quickly to emails and text messages; however, when it comes to meeting up she can be late from time to time. I hired a photographer and had engagement pictures done, and 5 months later still hadn't received them nor seen any of them. So I decided to look for a new photographer a month before my wedding. I called Carolyn and she set up an appointment with me the next day. She was extremely professional and excited about my wedding. We scheduled engagement pictures for a few days later. The day of the engagement shoot we had so much fun that we ended up spending over 4 hours doing pictures! And she had my pictures to me less than a week later! I absolutely love ALL of the engagement pictures, Carolyn has such an artistic eye and gave us some amazing portraits.
Then came time for our wedding. Again Carolyn did an incredible job! She came on time, had all of her equipment ready to go and was so much fun to work with. We had a blast doing all of our pictures, Carolyn even made it a point to stay later than contracted at no charge because she wanted a specific sunset shot. The day of my wedding was extremely hot and I was so worried about looking sweaty and frazzled in my pictures, but when I got them I was amazed! Carolyn is a magic worker because I looked flawless in our photos! I absolutely love my wedding pictures. She did a great job of capturing the whole day, all the small details and emotional candid shots. A male coworker of mine saw some of the pictures on Facebook and said to me "wow, your photographer did a great job! When I saw your pictures I felt like I was instantly transported right back to that day!" I had people that I haven't talked to in a decade writing me on Facebook telling me how amazing my pictures were,and when I showed them to my mom she cried. There is no doubt that Carolyn is a master at what she does, but even more than that she is an amazing person. I was so ridiculously disappointed with my original photographer. my pictures looked like snap shots. I hired Carolyn to do some re takes of us in our wedding attire. OH MY GOODNESS! I cannot express how beautiful our pictures turned out. therefore I hired to do my maternity pictures, in which she did some very tasteful nude photos of me. I've never felt more beautiful. and as a result of that we hired her to do our daughters newborn pictures.

Carolyn Welch Photography was more than just my photographer. She helped plan my wedding, she created beautiful, one of a kind wedding invites and save the dates that I get compliments on STILL! She took amazing pictures of my husband and I as well as our big, scary German Shepard. (He's not mean, just looks scary). Like I said, she referred me to most of my vendors, my DJ, my flowers, and made a GORGEOUS seating chart. She also addressed all our invite envelopes for us. While I haven't gotten my wedding photos back, I obviously have our engagement photos and I did see some from the back of the camera. I am so happy with her and her work. First, Carolyn was fabulous to work with and one of, if not the most, helpful vendor I worked with. Not only did she have her stuff together, but was also able to make suggestions for other vendors. During our engagement photos, she was incredibly sick, I mean barf bag in her camera bag sick. However, due to an extremely tight schedule and the fact that I lived out of state, the photo session had to go on. She handed her self amazingly and the photos were still beautiful. Throughout the planning process, she answered questions promptly and thoroughly. On the wedding day she showed up on time, was very flexible, and pleasant to interact with. My husband and I only have great things to say about Carolyn and using her for our photographer. She worked with out budget, which was important for us. But it wasn't her prices that first attracted us to her, it was her beautiful portfolio. Her photographs captured those precious moments that my husband and I knew we wanted for our wedding pictures. Carolyn is absolutely the best!!!! She is the most flexible and so much fun while out doing the pictures. Carolyn not only did our engagements in the unexpected rain and snow, but she traveled to Tahoe for our wedding and day after shots. Where do I begin

One of the most important things when looking for our photographer was that we hit it off with them naturally, and that they would work around our schedule. We wanted to be comfortable with them as we would be trying to get intimate shots with them. We sat down with Carolyn, who met us at 7 PM on a Wednesday and my now husband and I knew immediately that we HAD to have Carolyn as our photographer.

We threw a challenge at her (we wanted our engagement pictures taken at the mall where we first met, AND outdoor shots reminiscent of Twilight), and she was excited by the ideas we had rather than look stumped like other photographers we had met with. She was a champion, and made both ideas come to life.

At our wedding, we threw another challenge at her (1 hour to take shots of bridal party while not allowing the couple to see each other). Carolyn made excellent use of the time, and got AMAZING shots. Even when our officiant tried to step in and tell Carolyn there would be no shots taken during the ceremony, Carolyn handled it with grace and worked out a compromise with her and got the shots.

Carolyn is a cheerleader for love, and photography is obviously her passion. If you're looking for someone who gives you quality photography with a personal touch, I highly suggest you consider her for your wedding. She is now our family photographer, and will be go-to photographer to document the rest of our lives. More...
