My dog is a sweetheart but when I took him for walks, he was aggressive towards other dogs and not easy to control. I was getting all kinds of advice from other people including that I needed to have him in a harness with a leash attached. Elliott met with my lab and I, assessed the situation. He explained why a harness was not right for my dog. He asked me to order some different collars. I’m a bit of a softy so I was concerned about anything that I perceived to be harsh. I appreciated that Elliott explained how different techniques work. My dog never showed any fear he was always happy to be in a training session. In no time at all, my dogs issues were resolved. Elliot Has sent the Last two years helping my Daughter and I train her Service Dog for mobility and assistance. With his guidance our Great Dane has been taught to aid her walking, getting her up if she falls and to stay by here keeping her warm and safe if she is having trouble getting up. Also trained to assist by pulling a wheeled walker making it possible to enjoy a extended visit to a Mall, Park, Zoo or a fair. Elliot has done a outstanding job guiding us through training of her dog. The joy of a well trained dog is beyond words. The pride you can have in a dog that sits in a restaurant for an hour while you enjoy a meal is amazing. Having the dog aid in pulling a wheeled walk both as a walker and even with her seated in for hours while she enjoys a shopping, Zoo or the Fair is a life changing event for a person that has Cerebral Palsy and a lack of mobility. It was hard for me finding a service dog trainer. I got denied by bunch off service dog organizations because I wasn't in wheel chair or blind. Elliot was only person that could train my dog to be mobility and balance dog. He's awesome trainer. He can train your dog from basic training, aggressive problems, service dog training for different disabilities, K9 work. He's an all around trainer. He's nice and straightforward. Elliott is a superb trainer. I had two dogs that had issues with dominance and would fight. My (Bella)Rottweiler/Black Lab mix did not like her older sister {Nelly} a pitbull to be in charge. Elliott came to my rescue and helped defuse the competition issue. He then took on the training of Bella to be a service dog for me. Bella is almost 3 so service dog is the best training she can do. Bella now obeys commands and leaves off confrontations with her older sister{Nelly age 8}. She can walk in the stores and around the neighborhood with a leash and does not become aggressive with dogs barking and lunging at their fences at her. Working with Elliott with our two dogs has been a fantastic experience. Elliott brings a level of professionalism and expertise that we haven’t gotten with past trainers and I assume is rare to find. My sister and I have been taking our GSD Mix, Cypress, for the last 2 years. Prior to introducing him to Elliott, Cypress was becoming a bit more territorial and aggressive, even towards people whom he's known his entire life, including my parents. This was making it difficult for us to invite others over and take him out on walks. Since then, he's been much more cordial with humans and other dogs. It's been great having Elliott take Cypress out to socialize with other dogs at his business, dog parks, and even retirement homes in the Tacoma area to socialize with people. We were fairly new to the breed Cane Corso. Our male Odin 153lbs was in desperate need of some training before it got away from us. Elliot worked wonders for Odin taught him great recall, manners, and helped with his confidence. Elliot is amazing at what he does. Our dog was needing some direction with commands while on a leash and off. After Elliott trained her in some 1x1 sessions she was able to follow orders immediately! In fact, the first time he entered my home, my dog listed to him better than she ever did with us. My dog loves him so much. Elliott shared some tips and tricks to keep her in control and he even trained her to get help when someone in the house was having a medical emergency. My family got in contact with Elliot about 6 years ago recommended by a friend. Pretty much instantly was able to help us with our German shepherd (puppy) at the time who had issues listening and food aggression. Did great work! We have used his services off and on throughout the years and will be again soon! Now my German shepherd is 6yrs old and I rarely use a leash unless I’m near a main road In the last 4.5 years since working on recall training with Elliot. I’ve been hiking with him off leash for 3 years and have never had an issue calling him back and he tends to stay within 20-30ft of me when hiking in the mountains. We adopted our dog when she was about 10 months old, and she came with some trauma from her previous owners that led to fearful aggression toward strangers. My dog unfortunately was traumatized by Elliott's very harsh and not compassionate training. I also don't know if he's a certified trainer, and realized he never shared his proper credentials. I would never ever recommend him to anyone because of the trauma he caused on my dog. I also heard from other trainers that clients have come to them because of Elliott's poor training outcome and their pets also have been traumatized. It has been a journey to unlearn the horrible experience my puppy experienced, and is now in much better care with the right trainer and is successfully improving. Pet parents, beware! You don't want to work with Elliott, he will ruin your pet's life! Update 8.25.25: Elliot, this is not a fake comment. I had one session with you and have receipts of our communications, plus a witness who was present. Based on that firsthand experience, your methods were too forceful for my dog and ignored the backstory I provided. I recall asking you to stop the training because it was having a negative effect on my pup. You immediately looked at your watch to check how much time was left, and then said no let's keep going. It was not a good experience nor outcome. Since then, I’ve worked with another trainer whose approach has helped my dog rebuild trust. I was at a bit of a loss when I realized my boy, Cypress, was anxious of dogs and people, and would react aggressively if he felt threatened. Was not sure what to do, or even where to begin, and was even scared of being rejected by dog trainers because I’ve heard horrible stories of certain places not taking in misunderstood dogs. I have no regrets contacting Elliott to help me with my boy. He’s done everything to put him in check, gain his trust, and even befriend him. Along with that, I’ve learned how to better communicate with and correct my boy since hiring Elliott! We’ve been training with Elliott for over 2 years now— and my boy went from scared, anxious, upset, angry— to having the confidence to approach other dogs and people! I’ll even say my boy loves and looks forward to hanging out with his Uncle Elliott on their weekly adventures :) I STRONGLY recommend getting ahold of Elliott if you’re wanting to better your relationship with your fur baby, or just get a better understanding of how to communicate with your pup. I highly recommend Elliot and Canine Training Services. We adopted our dog, Hugo, from Texas when he was about 6 months old and had experienced some real trauma early in his life. We tried taking him to other dog trainers but they would not focus on the real causes on Hugo's reactiveness and fear. We could not get Hugo to walk on a leash, interact with other humans, or even ride in the car without barking and throwing himself against the windows. After meeting with Elliot, he was able to understand how Hugo's behaviors stemmed from fear and anxiety and tailored a training schedule exactly for him. Elliot went above and beyond, thinking outside the box with Hugo, taking him to stores to be around loud noises and loading machines, walking him in parks with large groups, and learning how to enjoy being around other people and dogs. Our vet even said that he doesn't even recognize Hugo and was worried we would have to put him down when he first met him, but is completely impressed by his new behavior and how much happier he seems. We worked with Elliot for our two dogs, a cavapoo that was excitable and lacked confidence, and a new rescue we just got that had a lot of trauma. Proof is in the pudding. Our Cavapoo is well on her way to being off leash and has built up the confidence to coexist and be friendly with our new pup who also went from an anxious, formerly abused mess to a happy dog that more importantly is starting to thrive in a structured environment. Elliott was absolutely fantastic. From day 1, he was effective with our yellow lab Lemon. The best thing about him is that he didn't do it all for us, he showed us how to properly train her and build a relationship with her. She flew through puppy manner classes and now can ever do several tricks! He was always on time, super friendly, and he sent out emails re-capping the training session with some things to work on to prep for the nest session. My two dogs were ready to kill each other. Nothing I could do to explain it, they just went crazy and attacked each other one day. I thought separating them for a little while would get them to forget about it and chill out, but even weeks later, they were still going at each other. I thought I was going to have to re-home one of them, but I found Canine Training Services online and decided to give them a try.Canine Training Service was a life saver. Elliot did such an amazing job with our aggressive dog, Bella. She is a huge sweetheart but really nervous and protective, and unfortunately that nervousness was outletted through agressive behavior. Elliot was very intuitive and not only explained what to do to correct her behavior but also explained to us why she was behaving that way in the first place. It was apparent right away during our first session that Elliot genuinely cares about the animals that he trains and he puts a ton of pride in the work he does. On top of all that, his rates were easily the most reasonable in the industry, at least for the area we live in. Best decision I could have made for me and my puppy! Elliott has made such a big difference in our lives!!! My little Chorkie was a barker and pretty aggressive.
