What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Look for the story first, the light second and be relentless in the pursuit of both.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is the singular goal that your are hoping to accomplish with the project at hand? Is that different than what your boss/partners/other key decision makers think? Do you have media budgets, PR efforts, or other initiatives prepared to support this project or is it a stand alone project.
What do you love most about your job?
I love to tell stories and to tell them honestly yet creatively.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I spent years as an ad agency Executive Creative Director (think Don Draper) as giant agencies working on giant brands. All along I shot as "Proof of Concept" to demonstrate my ideas rather than describing them in meetings. A lot of that work ended up being used as the actual campaign. After it happened one too many times, I decided I preferred making to talking.

It's been a while now since the worst of that has passed. But I ensure that at the first sniffle or tickle in the throat that myself and my crew are tested.
