I had a WONDERFUL experience working with DJ Mark and Party Makers. I was a real difficult client! I insisted on making the play list and not straying from it. Mark totally listened to me but used his creativity in mixing the tunes. Now that I know him, I'd be a lot more flexible. Mark has great taste in music! What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
I truly enjoy what I do! I feel I go the extra mile for my customers from communication prior to the job, arriving early for setup and going with the flow once I'm at the event! Fostering a relaxed atmosphere, "reading" the crowd and taking requests are all key. I am a proud music nerd and can play almost any style of music with expertise.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Hi, my name is Mark Bloomstein and I am the owner/operator of Party Makers. I travel throughout New England to DJ at Wedding receptions, family, school, kids and other events.
*I try to foster a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere at all events I work. The more comfortable people are in their environment the more likely they will let loose a little and have some fun on the dance floor.
* I am very adept at "reading" a crowd and playing the right music for the right people. I encourage requests and mix them in accordingly. I try to make sure that everyone at the party hears a song that they would like to dance to.
* I enjoy all types of music from all eras and instinctively know what to play with the requests I get and what to do when I see people respond to certain types of songs. Many DJ's only know one type of music or just aren't true music lovers, not the case here!
* My style is "low key but not shy". I can make any and all announcements and facilitate whatever formalities you have going on with a focus on music and dancing. However, I am also happy to incorporate games, contests and trivia into your night and I have fun with people when I do so.
What do you love most about your job?
I am hired to work at some of the most important and what should be the happiest days of my clients lives and it is truly a good feeling to be part of that and watch everyone have fun!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Ran my college radio station and started DJ'ing privat eparties there, have a Media degree, started working for Boston Party Makers and the owner sold the company to me when he started a record company/remix business.

We have our own unique, one of a kind, inflatable sided bocce courts available for rental. A fun alternative to the same old thing for anyone looking for an easy to play game for groups at their event.
Courts are 30 feet long by 8 feet wide, so you need the room for them. They come with an attendant for each court who can teach party goers how to play and set up quick tournaments. The sport is easy to learn and play, everyone who participates will have a blast!
