We had the pleasure of working with James - Born to DJ for our wedding, and I can honestly say he was fantastic! From the very beginning, he was incredibly accommodating and made sure to follow all of our music requests. What really stood out, though, was his ability to "read the room" during the dancing portion of the night. He had a great sense of timing, switching up songs when needed to keep the energy high and the crowd engaged. Not only did he nail our playlist, but he also kept things flowing smoothly and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. His professionalism and attention to detail were second to none, and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ to help make our wedding celebration unforgettable. James kept the party going and the kiddos dancing at our school Fall Festival! From start to finish, he was incredibly professional and easy to communicate with. Due to the threat of rain, we had to bring the event indoors and it wasn’t a problem. James was flexible and made it work. One of our requirements was that the music be clean and kid friendly and James reassured us that he could make it work. We were able to have a great and lively time without worrying about the appropriateness of the music. Even the parents got in on the fun, showing a few of their dance moves during line dance songs. Everyone at Born to DJ was helpful, professional, not to mention patient with our endless questions! They were so supportive throughout our planning process and their communication was top notch. At the actual wedding and reception, James did a superb job of keeping the dance floor filled, changing the music to fit the crowd. He ensured that the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing music was in line with our requests. He always asked for our ideas and preferences, but had a knack for knowing when we needed to use his expertise. We were his first Filipina Money Dance couple!! :) Even my husband, who admits he is NOT a dancer, was on the floor most of the night with me! From what our friends tell us, James kept the party going after we left! They are truly a first class company and we would highly recommend them to anyone we know. Born to DJ was AMAZING for our SCA Elementary Father/Daughter Dance & Middle School Winter Formal. He was on time, professional, MC'd the event and got the children to interact, played age-appropriate songs/music both the age groups loved. We received so much positive feedback from parents and students on what a great time they had. His setup included his full soundboard, speakers throughout the space, several colorful lights, and a multi-color disco light (not sure what it was called.) We will 100% re-booking for all of our dances/ larger events requiring music. Also very reasonably priced and again, great communication skills leading up to the event.
