I couldn't walk him by myself before as he would pull on the leash but now we do almost 3 miles n he waits by the door when I say "let's go for a walk." I highly recommend taking Bella’s K9 Babies class. The class teaches you how to train/socialize your dog. Deresa does a great job incorporating every day experiences your pet will encounter and teaches you and your pet how to react to them. I have known Deresa from Bellask9babies for several years on a professional and personal level. As soon as I adopted my Labrador Retriever I contacted Deresa and enrolled my now 5 years old lab in her class. I learned so much from her. I decided to kennel train my dog, with Deresas help he is a well trained, responds to his kennel when told, and uses it as his safe space.
The one thing I really loved about the class is, we took them out in public, as a class and socialized the dogs. I never did that with any of my other dogs. My husband and I adopted a German Shepherd puppy and we were referred to Deressa’s training program by a friend. We had no experience with a GSD or formalized training, so we were nervous and intimidated at first. We pretty much knew nothing, but since we heard of her stellar reputation (especially with the breed), we decided to give it a go. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. She made us so comfortable and her directions were so easy to understand that we could easily follow through with it at home. She explained everything thoroughly and in detail. I’m a pretty shy person, but she really put me at ease which allowed me to take in the information more easily.

Deresa has been an absolute blessing since the first day we spoke. I have had puppies and dogs before competed and had a therapy dog but nothing prepared me for my Belgium Malinois puppy and we did not get off to a good start and that is another story. I had gone thru a few of trainers before I got hooked up with Deresa. She helped me so much (she also has a Belgium Malinois) and was able to guide me in the right direction. My puppy is now one year old and I am thankful for Deresa's guidance and continued support. We even did the nose work classes and we enjoyed it.
