Wow, I can't put into words how fantastic my wedding was. Just to put it in perspective my wedding was last night and I'm already writing a review. Michael was absolutely awesome. He played live guitar during our ceremony (our intro was canon in d transitioning into concerning hobbits which was a dream! ) and dj'd during our cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. All of it was amazing. He is extremely organized and a great communicator, often responding to my emails within a few minutes from months out from the ceremony to the day of with my last minute questions. He sent us a list to think about every detail far in advance so we had plenty of time to plan and played a great mix of our personal song requests and his own recommendations, which was great. We cannot recommend Michael, our guitarist/DJ enough! The hybrid live music and DJ setup was absolutely perfect and created the best atmosphere from the ceremony through the reception. Having live guitar during the ceremony added such a personal, elegant touch, and the seamless transition to DJ services kept the energy going all night long. One of the most meaningful moments of our day was walking down the aisle to a song that our guitarist learned especially for my love of Top Gun! It meant so much that he took the time and care to make our vision come to life, and hearing it performed live made the moment even more special. Michael was amazing! He was professional and communicated well throughout the process. He was also great about coordinating with our other vendors on timing and content. Most of all, his bagpiping was loved by both us as a couple and our guests! Many guests specifically complimented his playing, including a Scottish uncle. First and foremost, the experience with Michael was amazing. His bagpiping and DJing were perfect, in performance, timing and musical selection management. He honored all our requests and brought his professional expertise to the event. In addition to the outstanding musical aspects, he was professional and obviously experienced in his communications and navigating the event. Michael provided the music for our recent wedding at Mirabelle at Beaver Creek. His talent on both the bagpipes and acoustic guitar was stellar and was a significant part of setting an incredible atmosphere for the entire event. Michael arrived early on the Big Day and was kitted out appropriately in Highland Dress. He stood outside Mirabelle playing a medley of highland pipe standards that greeted our arriving guests. He then escorted the Bridal Party into the venue to Highland Cathedral. During the ceremony he played more highland standards to punctuate the beauty and solemnity of the moment. Michael switched to acoustic guitar, playing a range of standards that lent elegance and charm to the cocktail hour and throughout the wedding dinner. His music was lovely and lent to the magical atmosphere. Everyone was charmed by Michael and his talents, noting that his bagpiping was a memorable part of the 4+ hour wedding. Michael was a huge part of making our day so special. My now wife wanted a bagpiper more than anything for our ceremony, and not only is Michael a wonderful bagpiper but also an awesome DJ. He saved us a lot of money by doing both at a much more reasonable price than if we hired two different people. Michael arrived exactly when he said he would despite horrendous traffic that day. His creativity with DJing kept an eclectic group of people dancing all night. He was great with communicating changes and updates as well as adjusting to small changes through out the night.
