Went here for my anniversary. We had reservations so got sat right away. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. We started with her calamari which was very good. My husband got the mushroom soup which was the best we ever had; very rich and creamy and a good portion. I had the Pappardelle Ragu lamb dish which was outstanding!! My husband had the filet which he really enjoyed. They gave us complimentary desserts for our anniversary as well which were delicious. This is a great place for a special occasion. We were a large group with a last minute reservation, which they accommodated on the patio. It was lovely with just a short period of bright unfiltered sun, but the ambience was worth the glaring sum for a few minutes. Nice wine list and wonderful menu selections. Our waiter and staff was very competent and made good recommendations. The avocado and tomato salad and scallops and shrimp starters were wonderful. I had the black linguini and lobster and clams and it was the right portion and really delicious. The starter bread and breadsticks were enjoyable - the bread was buttery and savory. A really nice dinner and clearly a popular local place as we saw a well known college coach, sports analyst and local politician dining... all a good indication of a good choice for dinner! The food at Bacco is quite good. Be sure to try some of the homemade pasta. The salads are also unique and flavorful. I've always loved the Brussels sprout salad.
