Hi, I'm Betty — founder of ASCEND Body by Betty and NASM-Certified Personal Trainer based on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. I help 30+ year-olds move with strength, grace, and intention through in-person and virtual fitness coaching. With a foundation in dance, functional strength training, and mobility work, I design customized programs that meet you where you are to reach your health and fitness goals.

Personal Trainers

Betty is a once in a lifetime personal trainer!! I am so grateful for our sessions in the midst of the busy and crazy lives we all live . The workouts of course focus on the body but somehow leave me feeling like I tended to other aspects of myself than just that bc of her guidance and listening 🙏🏽

She is extremely knowledgeable and equipped to work with various goals because of her training and dedication to the field. I have already started changing my body fat percentage and never thought I had what it takes to do that.

She is adaptable, personable and customizes based on the present needs . As a woman I sometimes need to vary intensity, weight or incorporate stretching and I have now learned to listen to my body so that I can come back and push myself even more. I never thought I would be good with weights but somehow I am improving.

She is always on time, comes prepared, and we get to work out on my rooftop which brings a level of ease to my commitment. Scheduling is a joy, no ego just easy communication and plans based on what I am trying to accomplish as it fits in my personal life.

She is also a dancer and has a cool Tae Bo background . Super fun mix and I wind up doing a ton of mobility and functional work with her. If you have a desk job, this is the kind of support you need.

I rarely write reviews but I have had other trainers in the past, struggle staying consistent and know what its like to find someone that is really so excellent.

We focus on quality of movement, not just reps or weight. Whether we're working on balance, mobility, core strength, or endurance, I tailor each workout to build long-term strength, resilience, and confidence—especially for adults 30+ who want to feel empowered, not overwhelmed.

More than just workouts, I offer guidance, accountability, and encouragement so that fitness becomes a seamless, uplifting part of your everyday life. Together, we move with purpose—so you can feel strong in your body and energized in your life.

Consisten, balanced habits that support your body and mind. Prioritize 7-8 hours of quality sleep, stay well-hydrated, and nourish yourself with whole, nutritious foods. Move your body every day, incorporating strength training with weights heavier than 10 pounds at least five times a week. And don’t forget to get outside and play—joyful movement is key to lasting fitness and vitality!

I love empowering people to strengthen, transform, and transcend—physically and mentally. Before launching ASCEND, I spent over a decade leading strategy and partnerships at global media and tech companies. I bring that same strategic mindset to wellness — combining science-backed programming, real-world adaptability, and personal empowerment to help clients make sustainable progress. Absolutely. I offer hybrid training options to fit your lifestyle—whether you prefer in-person sessions, virtual coaching, or a mix of both. You can train with me live via FaceTime or WhatsApp, or follow a fully personalized workout plan delivered through my user-friendly app (free for all clients), complete with suggested weights, sets, reps, and timing. This flexibility allows you to stay consistent whether you're at home, traveling, or meeting in person on the Upper East Side.
