I had the best experience with ArchiTiba Design Studio! My kitchen was small, dark, and honestly just depressing to cook in. Their team came up with this genius layout that somehow made the space feel twice as big without knocking down any walls. They added clever storage solutions, brighter finishes, and a pop of color that makes the whole place feel so fresh and modern. The whole process was smooth, and they really listened to what I wanted while adding their own creative twist. Now I actually want to cook, and everyone who visits can’t stop raving about it. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to make their space amazing! More...

Q&As

As an architect with a deep understanding of design, my interior design process is likely methodical and tailored to each project. Here's an ideal outline:

1. Client Consultation
Understand the Vision: Discuss the client’s needs, style preferences, lifestyle, and functional requirements.
Assess Space: Analyze the site or building, including dimensions, structural elements, and existing conditions.

2. Concept Development
Mood Boards: Create visual boards to capture the aesthetic, color schemes, materials, and textures.
Sketches and Ideation: Develop initial sketches or 3D visualizations to explore layout possibilities.

3. Space Planning
Functional Layout: Optimize layouts for circulation, furniture placement, and overall flow.
Zoning: Ensure areas are appropriately defined for their intended purposes.

4. Material and Finish Selection
Details Matter: Choose materials, finishes, and textiles that align with the concept and desired ambiance.
Durability and Sustainability: Prioritize high-quality, durable, and eco-friendly materials where possible.

5. Lighting Design
Layered Approach: Incorporate ambient, task, and accent lighting to enhance the mood and functionality.
Natural Light Integration: Maximize natural light with windows, skylights, and reflective surfaces.

6. Furniture and Decor
Custom Solutions: Design bespoke pieces or select furniture that complements the space’s proportions and style.
Art and Accessories: Curate artwork, plants, and accessories to personalize and elevate the design.

7. Detailed Design and Documentation
Blueprints and Drawings: Prepare detailed plans, elevations, and technical specifications for contractors.
Approvals: Confirm all designs with clients and obtain necessary permits.

8. Execution and Oversight
Collaboration: Work closely with contractors, artisans, and vendors to bring the vision to life.
Quality Control: Ensure the work aligns with design intent and standards.

9. Final Touches
Styling: Add final decor elements, arrange furniture, and ensure harmony throughout the space.
Walkthrough: Present the completed space to the client, making any necessary adjustments.

As a modern-style architect, my expertise emphasizes clean lines, open spaces, and innovative use of materials.

Minimalist: emphasizing simplicity, functionality, and clutter-free spaces.

Industrial: incorporating raw materials like exposed brick, steel, and concrete, blending them with modern elements for a polished yet edgy look.

Scandinavian: Modern principles overlap with Scandinavian design through clean lines, neutral palettes, and cozy, functional layouts.

Mid-Century Modern: focus on sleek furniture, organic shapes, and a connection to nature.

Contemporary: As modern and contemporary styles often intersect

Japandi: A fusion of Japanese and Scandinavian styles, this aesthetic focuses on simplicity, natural materials, and a zen-like atmosphere—elements that resonate with modern design principles.

Modern Rustic: By blending sleek modernity with rustic warmth—like reclaimed wood, natural stone, and soft textiles—inviting, balanced interiors are created.

Eclectic: While it’s more varied, my expertise in modern design provides the structural clarity needed to unify diverse elements in a cohesive, personalized way.

By leveraging my modern design strengths, I can adapt to and enhance a variety of styles, ensuring they retain a sense of sophistication and harmony.

As an architect, the most rewarding aspect of the job is the ability to transform abstract ideas into tangible, meaningful spaces that people inhabit and experience daily. I love the creative process of problem-solving—balancing aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability to design environments that inspire and improve lives. Seeing a project come to life, from the initial sketches to a completed structure, and knowing it will impact a community positively, is incredibly fulfilling. Additionally, collaborating with diverse teams and clients, each with unique visions and challenges, keeps the work dynamic and enriching.

I’ve always been passionate about design and creating spaces that inspire and improve people's lives. After years of working in the field, I realized I had my own vision for how architecture could better merge functionality, sustainability, and beauty. Starting my own business gave me the freedom to pursue those ideas on my own terms and connect directly with clients to bring their dreams to life. It was also about wanting to leave a personal mark on the industry and create something enduring and unique.

I offer a combination of vision, expertise, and dedication that ensures every project is not only functional but also inspiring. With a strong foundation in architectural design and a proven track record of creating spaces that harmonize aesthetics with practicality, I tailor each project to reflect the client’s unique identity and aspirations.

My approach goes beyond simply delivering a blueprint. I pride myself on fostering a collaborative relationship with clients, ensuring their needs and desires are not just met but exceeded. My attention to detail, innovative problem-solving, and ability to balance creativity with constraints—whether budgetary, spatial, or environmental—set me apart.

Additionally, my commitment to sustainability ensures that my designs are not only forward-thinking but also responsible, creating spaces that are timeless and future-proof. Choosing me as your architect means investing in a partner who is deeply passionate about bringing your vision to life with excellence and precision.

Services

Before any design, construction, or occupancy can take place, substantial planning is required to initiate the project delivery process. Project conception can be simply defined as the process of creating a plan that can be implemented in each phase of the project delivery.

It involves prioritizing values and goals, integrating them with the insights from studies and investigations, and providing recommendations.

The design process transforms the owner’s program into a comprehensive design and related documents, enabling stakeholders and participants to carry out their roles, responsibilities, and tasks associated with the project. Throughout the design phase, the design team collaborates with other stakeholders and participants to:

Review the owner’s program and relevant information gathered during the project’s conception phase.

Research the applicable regulations and requirements set by the authorities having jurisdiction.

Propose solutions that meet the owner’s program and comply with the requirements of the authorities.

Create various forms of graphic documentation, such as renderings, drawings, walk-through or fly-through animations, building information models (BIM), and scale models, to effectively communicate the design that best meets the requirements and enhances stakeholder and participant understanding of the design intent.

Identify and gather necessary product information.

Integrate project systems and assemblies into the design.

Develop written documents that detail the technical aspects of the design, including preliminary project descriptions, design narratives, and outline specifications.

Estimate the construction cost of the project.

Secure the owner’s approval at each stage of the design process.

The 2020 Residential Code of New York State (2020 RCNYS) includes the possibility to design tiny houses used as single dwelling units. The code defines a tiny house as a dwelling with a floor area of 400 square feet (37 m²) or less, excluding lofts.

Tiny Houses can make owning a house possible, thanks to the RCNYC code that allows special criteria to residential units, which saves a lot of area, and hence cost.
It is a suitable solution if you are:

- Eager to buy your first home, but unable to afford a down payment.

- A single person seeking a small, secure and low-maintenance living space.
- Older couple passing their family home to their children, while remaining on the property in separate accommodations.

- An empty-nester individual or couple whose children moved out, and don't need the large space anymore.

- A member of an organization aiming to provide affordable housing to homeless individuals.

A common misconception is that a building permit is unnecessary for structures under 144 square feet. This misunderstanding likely stems from an exemption for one-story detached accessory structures associated with one- or two-family dwellings, such as tool sheds, storage sheds, or playhouses. However, this exemption does not apply to dwellings, including tiny houses.
