What do you love most about your job?
I love working with people and helping them realize that getting a great photo is really just about trusting in the process and allowing me to mold them into the right positions and pull the best expressions out of them. I love the reaction when they get to see their photo on my monitor after the first couple of shots. Most are overwhelmed that they look the way they do.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My dad was interested in photography when I was a kid and his love for it inspired me to pick up a camera and it led to a 4 year degree in photo illustration and studio photography. While in school I started doing portraits of people and fell in love with the process and the reaction of my subjects when I delivered my images. I did all kinds of photography as side jobs for about 15 years and finally 3 years ago I had enough work to take the dive and go full time. I have not looked back since.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have found my niche in headshots. Not a lot of people specialize in this area and I have grown to love it so much that is about 90% of my business. I have learned with one of the best headshot photographers in the world Peter Hurley and can produce a product that he approves of. The process I use is proven and is a very consistent look which is a huge need for my clients. I also connect with people on a level that puts them at ease during this sometimes feared experience.
