We had Vikram Singh (Amasingh) perform at our engagement party, and honestly... we're still not over it. I don't think this review--or any words--can fully capture how incredible he was or how strongly we recommend hiring him. He completely blew us (and our guests) away. We hired him for our ~60 engagement party and asked him to incorporate our wedding date announcement into his act, and from the moment we retained him, he was top tier--communicative, excited, creative. He asked about our theme, colors, vibe, and then ran with it. When he arrived, his energy was electric. He did close-up magic during cocktail hour and WOW--our guests were obsessed. And as mind-blowing as his close-up work was, the full performance was like nothing we've ever seen. It felt like watching a live Netflix special--polished, hilarious, interactive, and totally magical. Even the most skeptical guests were stunned. I've Googled. I've watched videos of the show and I was IN the show and I still have no idea how he did it. The entire performance was personalized and intentional--he even made custom props for it. It was such a special moment, and you could feel how much heart and effort went into making it perfect. The entire experience working with Vikram of Amasingh Magic was a pleasure from the initial phone call, the scheduling and payment process, his communication leading up to and during our event, and of course Vikram's easy banter with our guests during the party as he "did his thing". I first discovered the Amasingh magic show at the Armstead Academic Project charity gala. During cocktail hour, he was going around doing different close up magic tricks. I was beyond amazed by all of the tricks he did that I had to book him as our surprise guest for an end of summer school celebration. He exceeded my expectations by far! I had only seen him briefly at the event doing tricks for adults (which were super fun and entertaining) and then he did an even more "amasingh" job with the kids. Not only did he adapt the shows to be more kid-friendly, he also did an amazing job with setting expectations, sharing a little bit about his culture, and keeping them engaged and entertained with effective attention grabbers, such as communicating that he'll choose a volunteer who is sitting quietly with their hand up, etc. On top of a great show, he communicated promptly and thoroughly during the booking process and leading up to the event. I have been interested in magic since I was 9 years old! I have been performing ever since and I hope to keep learning and entertaining for the rest of my life!
