I have had a contract with Alta for quite a few years now. Recently, I called them to come take care of a sudden ant infestation in my kitchen. Damian was very professional and friendly. He worked quickly and efficiently, and explained what he was doing to me. It was a rainy day, and I had just had my house cleaned, and he very kindly asked if he should take his shoes off when coming inside, which I really appreciate! He was a true pleasure. I did not want a monthly subscription, but the door to door salesman persisted until I did. I regret that as I have now paid about $400 for one application that did not help with any pests. Will not use again. They will not cancel your account if you do not pay the early termination fee and will continue to bill you. Just all around bad service when trying to run a business. Their sales guys come door to door at the worst possible times - or after “bedtime” if you have young kids like we do… like after 9 pm when I finally got the toddler that doesn’t like to sleep… to actually sleep. From start to finish service has been a nightmare. The salesman did a great job selling the product! However when I decided to schedule because we really did need the service and had just discussed it the day before the salesman came to my house I thought it was fate, and for the price and what ground they said they would cover I thought it was perfect! man was I WRONG! I scheduled with them July 9, 2024, my service was July 11. I had received the initial email reminder with the right date and time and then got 2 other reminder emails with the right date but the time said 830PM-630PM, on both emails, and called the day of to verify my time wasnt moved and the customer service rep couldnt tell me why that happened.. a glitch I guess. My card was charged 140 on July 10th as a reoccurring charge... which should of not been charged until September when you were supposed to come back out for the maintenance schedule. I called and they couldn't figure out why, and said it was another glitch in the system and would refund it. By this point I had been double charged-once early and the wrong price and then again for then the service was completed. I get my invoice that listed everything that was done and focused on and the products used when the service was completed, cool. theres a huge list of things done and products used. I then get a second invoice 2 hours later, not charged, but that had but only 2 target areas (ants & mosquitos) and that shade trees and foilage was also tended to. I don't have trees or bushes on my property. So I called again and again nobody could tell me why I had two separate invoices,but they were both for me. One was the initial welcome package of everything included and a whole list of targeted areas, that also included ants and mosquitos, however the second invoice only had ants and mosquitos but again, no one knew why, but o hey! good news! I wasn't charged... ehh yeah.. but do you see where I am now starting to question which service was actually provided. Over the weekend of July 13 we noticed a couple ants but didn't think anything of it until the following week we started to see an increase in ants and also red ants, which we haven't really had. My husband called to see when they could come out when he was off and the customer service rep said someone would call him back. That was Tuesday July 16th. Nobody called back, rather I got an email at 2:30 July 19th that said I had an appointment on Monday, July 22nd, but there was no time given. So my husband called and they said between 11-3. 3 o clock came and no tech. So my husband called again and was put on hold for 15 mins while the customer service rep called the tech. They also had said earlier in the morning that the tech would call and hour prior to make sure we were there, that also didn't happen. We were told a manger would be out but wasn't sure when and would call my husband back. Instead I get a phone call that I missed and a voicemail left stating that we wouldn't be resprayed today due to a technician error but that they would reschedule us for Friday July 26 and to call back if that didn't work. To which my husband called back because that was the whole reason he had taken today off was to talk to the tech because out house is being taken over by spiders and ants now all along the outside like they didn't even do anything the first time and get told sorry we wouldn't be able to get you on the schedule today. I then get a text message from a manager who stated she tried to call back since our account was brought to their attention about the ants in the kitchen and was able to get a tech out today. We don't have ants in the kitchen!! This is BEYOND frustrating at this point. Not even proper communication is given to management even, I would hate to see the short hand notes written in our file at this point!!! So yeah no at this point I will NOT be referring anybody to your company. Two weeks of nothing but CONSISTENT mayhem. We had a solicitor at 7:30pm last night. I informed him were on a no knock list. He didn't care and continued to try to sell me pest control. I repeatedly said we were not interested, but he would not leave. I finally had to shut the door in his face. Just stood in the doorway creepily waving at me. I called my neighbor and she said he had been to their house twice, and she had the same experience. I walked outside to see where he went, and he yelled at me "do you like what you see. Do you want some of this?" I will report the Nashville location to the BBB. There is no reason to sell pest control at 7:30pm especially when we are on a no knock list. More...

Izak was absolutely great! Has a keen eye for areas that are being impacted. We've had an increase in spider present which is likely due to open lots still being done, new construction kicking up nests, insects, etc. and increase in mice. He had solutions, took care of our areas and possibly one of the most precise servicing's we have had. Side note - competitors have definitely increased as we had two companies the past 3 months, all trying to match the price and say how great/better they are. Guy with Alta pounds on our door four times (at 8:15pm), even though we clearly have no soliciting signs in the yard and by the doorbell. I open the door after looking out the peephole and asked him who he was and why he is banging on my door. Doesn't answer that but asks if I want pest service done and "they have an opening for $69.00" right now. After being nice and telling him we have a company that takes care of our yard, I have to repeatedly ask him if he can read the two signs (don't think he can read) and to please exit my yard. He keeps asking who we use and then only after I mention I will call the police (after I have shut the door and he keeps talking) if he doesn't leave, he "drives off" on his segway to the next house. I’ve been trying to get out of my contract since initial signing. The salesperson came to my door and was not transparent in pricing and ultimately talked me into signing by stating it would be lower with more services than what I’m currently paying for pest control when I told him the details of my current pest contract. He offered to send me money to help with part of initial fee. He failed to mention their odd payment structure and service frequency which really made it more expensive overall. I was able to get them to drop the price down by taking off certain services, but you’re paying monthly with only quarterly servicing. Most recently (3/29) I was charged $85 for an outdoor package with no acknowledgment of the type of service being done. I have all my receipts and I was only charged $40 for this service in October and when i called them immediately after seeing the money withdrawn I was told the October lower price was a mistake and should’ve been $85 and there’s nothing they could do. I regret signing the contract and it’s been a frustrating experience with this company since the beginning with the misleading salesperson. I have no choice to continue paying which I will immediately cancel when I can in July. The CSRs are pleasant the many many times I’ve had to call, but ultimately they’re limited in how they can help. The salespeople are sketchy and the company as a whole is awful.
