I grew up in this area and never had a reason to stay here. However, recently I had to stay at the Simsbury Inn for a wedding I had in Ct. The hotel was very nice. When I arrived I had messed up the reservations and the lady at the front desk was able to get me a room right away for a lesser price. The only bad thing in the room was that the lighting wasn't so good and it was hard to see. Other than that it was a very nice hotel. When I had questions about my bill they were answered right away, and they took care of whatever charges were billed to me by mistake. More...

I came here for the restaurant for a work meeting. The food and service were terrific. There was a good variety of food on the menu, and the dessert was tasty as well. I don't live close to this place (it takes me about 40 minutes from my home) but if it were closer, I would come here for dinner regularly. Check this place out for dinner even if you're not a guest of the hotel. It's worth it. More...

My husband and I booked the Simsbury Inn for our wedding on November 10, 2019 and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the premises, staff and the accommodations. From the very beginning, all staff at the front desk and sales were an absolute delight to deal with. I think we have all have "interesting" stories to share about bad experiences, but this WAS not the case at all. A very much deserved shout out and thank you to Heidi (my favorite), Rohan, Ellen and Jeanine in sales. Staff in Evergeen's restaurant and Twigs Lounge were an absolute delight and we can only say great things about them. ||Heidi: Absolutely amazing to deal with, so personable and beyond accommodating. Thank you Heidi for everything and ironing out a good portion of room block reservation mistakes. ||Ellen: Fantastic from the get go and was so interested in our happily ever after. She provided correct information and was always willing to help. ||Rohan: Thank you for answering my "many" questions and ensuring all was in amazing working order for all our family and guests. ||Jeanine: Absolutely fabulous!! Do yourself a favor and book an event at The Simsbury Inn so you can work with Jeanine. She always made me feel comfortable, wasn't pushy and provided very helpful information. ||You will feel like family when you walk into the Simsbury Inn, maybe even like you are in your own living room. Hotel has a small scale feel and a great antique look that anyone can appreciate. ||I can't contribute one negative because the staff here is a well maintained machine. The Papish/Azzaro wedding definitely had the A team and we are so thankful to have met each and every one at the Simsbury Inn. ||||Other Notables: ||1. Rooms are nicely sized and very comfortable. You get chocolate cookies on yoru pillow! hey come with all the bells and whistles one would expect. Blow dryers in the bathrooms, robes, plenty of towels and toilet paper. Beds were extremely comfortable and had numerous pillows to choose from. ||2. Continental breakfast was lovely and had just enough. It isn't obnoxious but will get you full when you are hungry. ||3. Food at Evergreen's was delicious and the room (which we used for our rehearsal dinner) was lovely. Great view, had a lot of character without decoration. Shout out to Jerome and Irina! Top notch. ||4. Everyone in Simsbury is nice! We just returned from a long weekend to celebrate a wedding and this was the hotel they choose for the guests to stay at. They offer complimentary shuttle service to the airport and back so that was nice but we had a glitch in the pick up which the staff made right immediately upon check in by offering me a $25 food voucher, what I thought was a nice gesture and showed they cared . It was clean, quiet had had some nice facilities on premises including indoor pool and small but functional gym. We stayed here on a weekend for a wedding. Room was comfortable and clean, everyone was extremely helpful. Nice spot to have a bite and a drink. Only quibble is that there is a complementary continental breakfast which was fine but not really anywhere to eat it - a could of small tables in the lobby and a few sofas and chairs. Beautiful venue. The banquet room was amazing. The staff was so courteous. This is definitely a favorite venue of mine. For the wedding we were a part of the cocktail hour was behind the restaurant bar, which was still private so it was perfect. Then everyone was ushered into the banquet room. The consierge directed us to the bar on the second floor. Lunch was delightful and delicious, the service exceptional. Lovely place to spend a few days to relax. Everyone is very accommodating. Although we were disappointed that the main restaurant was closed during our stay, we enjoyed the lounge and the food was very good. There are many other restaurants within a short drive of the Inn. The free continental breakfast is great. There is a small restaurant off the lobby, if you want to full breakfast. Prices are reasonable. The housekeeping and bus transportation made an extra special service today by getting my Iwatch and power chord that I inadvertently left in my hotel room - they got it to me before the hotel bus took me from our off-site business meeting to the airport. That was truly an extra mile measure and service that I do greatly appreciated before my long flight home! The moment I walked through the Simsbury Inn and saw how beautiful everything was, I knew this was the place where I wanted to get married. I worked with Jeanine through the entire process and she was amazing. She would always get back to my emails quickly and she did an amazing job coordinating everything for our perfect day. We were married outside on the grounds, had our cocktail hour in their Evergreens restaurant, and the reception in their main ballroom. I used their complementary center pieces for the cocktail hour and then brought in my own centerpieces and decorations for the reception. Jeanine and her team decorated everything for me and made sure everything was beautiful and perfect. My guests have continued to tell me how beautiful the wedding was and how wonderful the food was. The Simsbury Inn has a wonderful selection of entrees and Hors d'oeuvre to choose from and also provided a beautiful wedding cake. I loved that everything was done in their one location, and they only do one wedding a day so everything is dedicated to you that day. Their rooms for the guests and the bridal suite are comfortable and very nice. The entire night of the wedding, my husband and I had an attendant dedicated to us, her name was Laurie, and she was very attentive and wonderful the entire time. There isn't enough good things that I can say or mention about the Simsbury Inn. I loved my wedding and it was truly a special day.
