Breath taking views our room although compact; the view to the SAVANNAH RIVER and the Talmadge Bridge made up for it! The restroom was spacious with walk in ! I naturally prefer a bath with they do have in some rooms. The staff was not the same as when I went the first time to view the hotel. We was celebrating a birthday. It’s not a hotel that you go to and everyone knows your name if you know what I mean. The valet parking is $40 extra a night, but well worth it. We were able to see the truck from our room as well. No microwave at all. Due to room service and all the restaurants-bars on location. The refrigerator is filled with wet bar items that cost money so don’t bring anything perishable back to your room. The elevators were high tech classy. You have to use your room key to access each floor. River street and downtown is steps outside the door. For entertainment you have 60’ TV, Free Wi FI, and a huge color changing lap pool. More...

Getting together on Thanksgiving proper wasn’t an option for us this year. So The Alida was our home for my family’s pre-Thanksgiving overnight getaway, and it was a great choice. Beautiful, spacious rooms; thoughtful amenities; an outstanding location, right on the Riverfront and an easy walk to all the best dining and strolling options. Our group of six ranged in age from middle school to 75, and we all had a lovely time. I’ll be back, and can’t wait. ❤️ More...

It's a very lovely hotel with a coziness about it. There is such a lovely fragrance as you walk in . They sell it in candles. The rooftop is a must-see. Has a fireplace in front of seating and the view of the city is absolutely gorgeous.I would definitely go back there More...

Beautiful boutique hotel! I enjoyed my stay and the staff was amazing. The only issue I had was that our room was not serviced the entire day. We had to call and go to the front desk several times before housekeeping came to our room. The gentleman who greeted us at valet provided exceptional service. Me and my girlfriend chose to stay at The Alida for the night, and could not be happier with the decision .. we almost passed it up, and decided to spurge a little, and it was well worth it. The rooms were spacious, and very clean, and the bed was soo comfy ! Best sleep I’ve had in a while .. we will absolutely be back again !! The staff was so friendly, and so helpful .. Levette, and Keonne went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect ! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, or a friendlier staff !!! More...

I originally contemplated booking The Alida, simply because I wasn’t familiar with the area nor the hotel. Needless to say, BEST decision I could have made. The ambiance in the hotel lobby was beautiful. Our room was located on the 2ND Floor. The rooms were spacious and equipped with KING beds. The house keeping staff on the 2nd Floor was nothing short of AMAZING. They were attentive, accommodating and down to earth. They offered recommendations and was willing to stop what they were doing to assist. BEST STAFF EVER!!! And I mean EVER!!! At check in, you will receive water bottles for the Hydration Station that's located on all floors. These stations are equipped with different types of water, daily newspapers and evening snacks. The hotel is located in Downtown Savannah historic district, so it was a 5 min walk everywhere. Alida sits right river and across the street from City Market, Lady & Sons Restaurant, Encryption Room Escape, Clubs and Advance Tours in Motions. Although parking was $40 per night, the valet staff was so friendly and accommodating, we felt they earned every bit. The roof top bar and fire pit was nice and turned into a party on Saturday night. If traveling to Savannah you will LOVE The Alida! MUST VISIT. More...

Pros||Beautiful new hotel||Quiet||Large Rooms||||Cons||No free Breakfast||No Hot Water for Tea||No Parking||||My wife and I were in Savannah for a race and we wanted to stay close to the staring line. The Alida is right downtown and was just over a quarter mile to the start line. It was 4X as much money as the Days Inn outside of town but really worth every penny. ||||We pulled up, out front, they have Valet, but I didn't want to pay the fees so we unload and I went to park the car downtown. The downtown garages are much cheaper per day, and less than a half a mile away. ||||At check-in they give you a hydration bottle for the hydration stations. These are great. On every floor their is a keg like tap that has cold water, sparkling water and tempid water (No HOT). This was great during the stay, and a cool way to remember to stay hydrated. ||||The room as you can see in the pictures was big and bright. The bathroom had a shower only but it was comfortable. ||||The bed and linens were almost as nice as a Westin. ||||My only complaints were they didn't have hot water for tea, and the breakfast options weren't cheap at the restaurant downstairs and they could not guarantee no cross contamination for Celiac Customers. My husband and I stayed at The Alida in October 2019 for our honeymoon. When calling to make the reservations, the management staff was helpful and accommodating. We called a couple days beforehand to confirm the reservation and other details, and the courteous receptionist was able to upgrade our room! Even more, when we arrived back to the room after our first evening out, the concierge sent up sweets and champagne (thanks, Amanda)! The hotel staff was very kind and friendly during every interaction I had with them.||The only reason we gave the rating of 4 instead of 5 is because my husband thought the room could have benefited from a little more decoration to improve the coziness of the room. Also, the room was just below the rooftop bar, so it got a little noisy at night. However, the rooms were clean, and I thought they were beautiful, modern, and very comfortable. The bed and pillows were more comfortable than the Ritz Carlton/ J.W. Marriott. ||I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay in Savannah. And did I mention the *awesome* security feature that only allows guests access to the floor their room in located? Everyone can reach common areas, but guests can only get to their assigned floors. Love that. Way to go, Alida! More...

Hi there from room #324! Firstly, the room was very quiet during all hours. Not too close or far from the elevator. Our view of the pool was nice, but right behind the pool was a view of the guests at the motel next door. The room did not have carpet - bring slippers! (Online photos show a rug, we didn't have one.) The bathroom has several hooks which is RARE to find! We loved that! The shower faucet has an awkward location - tricky to turn on without getting wet. ||||The Rhett Restaurant - food was hot and flavorful! Fried cauliflower, ricotta dip and a chicken breast w/salad. Would def eat there again - but we were the only guests on a Friday night at 830pm (odd!). ||||Lobby is beautifully decorated - can't argue that! No one at check in or valet could locate a luggage cart for us. Free champagne, for Marriott/Bonvoy Elite Members. That was nice! ...still would've appreciated a luggage cart. ||||***** Beware Ridiculous Charge: Destination Amenity Fee **** This is the silliest charge and poor excuse for an amenity ever conceived! The hotel has a "refresh" station that supplied water to a hotel provided plastic bottle and the hotel also provided additional plastic cups (what a waste!!!). Additionally, the hotel provided evening snacks. During my stay the snack was gummy worms & pretzels! Do they think I'm 12?! For the nightly rate ($400), I thought this was extremely juvenile and lack luster. Seriously, gummy worms ||||*** I brought my Nespresso machine - thank God! They don't even provide a coffee/tea maker in the room or at the "refresh" station. Unforgivable. ||||Location. Savannah is all about location. We took a risk deviating from our normal location (The Brice) and unless you're going to haunt the Riverwalk, this may not be your cup of tea. I do understand there is major Riverwalk upgrades coming - but as of now - this location feels disconnected.||||Thankfully Savannah has more than enough hotels to choose from. More...

The Alida is an upscale, modern hotel with all the amenities. I loved the room decor and water station on each level. The Rhett restaurant, downstairs, had wonderful breakfast options, with a salad on the side. Loved getting my greens in the morning. Rooftop Bar and Jerome behind the bar, is a great place to get a drink. Cocktail service could use improvement. She was slow and the only unfriendly soul in the hotel. The best part of our stay were the people who work there, particularly Alyssa Hodges at the Rhett and Keonna Nesbitt and Zack Prengler at the front desk. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. Thank you, Alida! More...

My fiancé and I booked our hotel at the last minute and were lucky to find a room. ||We were greeted by Orphy and her beautiful smile who was definitely the sunshine of our stay. She was amazing and way above our expectations she recommended some places to eat and to visit that made our stay memorable. This trip would have never been the same without her!||The room and the bathroom were very spacious. The bed was super comfortable and we had a big flat screen TV. ||The Alida hotel has probably everything that you wish for at the only exception: ||The cons: - There is no shower at the gym to use if you check out the room and decide to spend your last hours by the pool or at the gym.||The pros: -The pool is beautiful and you can order drinks and food. || - The Alida has bars and restaurants on site and the food is good|| - Gorgeous rooftop bar to enjoy the sunset. This is a do-over, for sure! Each year for the past really long time, my best friend in the whole wide word (BFITW3) spend our birthday together. This year we decided to stay local....not so much of me. I live in Delaware. When I tell you this is first rate..this is first rate. From the Valet to the rooftop space. Each attendant was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about not just the hotel, but the surrounding area. A special shout out to Andre' and Haley. Great Service from Sean The Bellman began our experience at Alida. Modern and chic decorations accented a fabulous hotel in the perfect location. The room and bed were comfortable and stylish. The rooftop bar has great river views. There is lots to love about this hotel! As a footnote...the late night fight in the lobby between young teens who were probably not hotel guests was concerning. Perhaps evening security protocols should be looked at. The incident didn't affect my opinion of the hotel...but was a safety / security concern. More...

Okay, I’m here now and don’t want to leave. Laying in this comfortable, king-size bed, staring out of the window from the spacious, clean room is just what’s needed right now. Upon arrival, Andre (the valet) was our first impression, and he greeted us with a beautiful smile and southern charm. He took care of our bags right away and continuously asked if he could help with anything else. Upon check-in, we were welcomed as if they were specifically waiting just for us. The young lady at the desk was, personable, yet quite professional. Everything was explained, and we couldn’t wait to get to the room at this point. ||||Not to be overlooked, the ambiance of this quaint getaway is the absolute best. Someone took the time to make this place one of the most welcoming hotels I’ve ever visited, and being a traveler, there has been many. My best friend and I immediately started to rate this place among the top 2 or 3 places we’ve stayed in all of our travel (over 34 years of friendship). We hadn’t even made it to the room, but when we did......... TWO KING-SIZE BEDS, a vanity, amazing bathroom, a window seat (comfortable), enough desk to work if needed, clean, humongous television, and hidden closets. We LOVE the room!!!!!||||Lastly, how often do you visibly see a cleaning person keeping things done throughout the night. Our arrival was at 9:45pm and the cleaning lady was cleaning up and asking if we needed anything. When I left the room to get ice, she was right there letting me know to just go to the bar and request ice. The entire staff was very professional, helpful, friendly, and awesome. ||||So glad we already asked for a late checkout, because we really don’t want to leave. SIMPLY AMAZING!!! More...

The Alida is quickly becoming our go-to hotel when we visit our child at Savannah State. The hotel is always clean. The staff - from the front desk to valet to bartenders are super helpful and always professional. I once had a question about street parking. The front desk person walked with me out to the street to help me. The hotel is also in a great location. Right at the river and close enough to walk to the bars and local eateries, but far enough to have distance between you and the antics of the river area. The hotel also allows pets with no extra charge or limitations on size. More...

What a treat the Alida was for our last minute one night stop over in Savannah to see the St. Patty's Day parade. I booked it last minute when we were driving there and got a heck of a deal (over $150 off for the night) on our room. We arrived pretty early in the day but they were able to get us into our room right away and we had a view of the pool. They gave us cute cups which we could use at any of the bars and could get drinks in those cups for $5. Awesome deal!!In the room there were also two plastic refillable water bottles and each floor has a hydration station with spring water, sparkling water and ambient water as well as newspapers and fruit. Great touch. The room has two "closets" hidden behind curtains, a steamer (nice touch!!) and robes. Also plenty of drawer space and a safe in one of the drawers. The bathroom was nice and had a spacious shower. Only a barn door though so not much noise privacy. Otherwise a wonderful set up all around. The toiletries were top notch I wish I had more of that conditioner and to say that about hotel supplies is saying alot.We enjoyed the pool for a couple of hours. There is a bar inside the door from the pool to get drinks and they were cooking out food in the courtyard that was cash only but I did enjoy a burger. The pool its self is not very deep (I think 3 ft was the deepest) but nice to have. Three cabana beds on one side of the pool and chairs around the rest. Nice area semi secluded from the road but hotel across the street has balconies so not very private for that reason. There is a wonderful roof top bar with plenty of couches and chairs to relax as well as a huge fireplace. The location can't be beat if you want to be by the river but a little bit of a walk to the parks (still not bad though just a few blocks). They had a nice set up of coffee and tea options in the morning at the bar off the lobby and plenty of seating throughout the first floor to find a perfect spot to enjoy. Everyone we encountered was helpful and courteous and seemed genuinely happy to be there that day. They had plenty of security all day and night and we wore wrist bands to show we were guests to come and go without issue. You also have to have a room card to get anywhere on the elevator as you have to scan it to get to any of the floors where guests stay. That was something I wish all hotels had being a solo traveler from time to time.Overall I would absolutely return to stay here again. I felt like we were in the middle of it all and if I could get that price again...heck yeah!! More...

This weekend I had the pleasure of staying at the Alida Marriott property and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The Alida is perfectly located in the middle of Savannah but not in the middle of late night craziness. The staff who checked us into the property are professional and courteous. We were upgraded to a room on the fifth (top floor) with a nice view b/c of my Platinum status. The rooftop bar is nice with beautiful views, however some of the bartenders aren’t very friendly and their drinks are below par.||The one and only downfall are hidden fees! Between a Savannah City tax, Georgia State tax, Georgia Hotel fee, and a Savannah historic tax we racked up nearly $100 in fees if you include overnight parking ($40). ||Personally, between the money spent per night and overpriced drinks at the property, I believe these fees are a bit much. I rate this hotel a 4 out of 5 b/c of their additional fees. More...

We chose the Alida while on a roadtrip, in part because they were supposed to be extremely pet-friendly - and we were not disappointed. Not only was our 15-month-old puppy welcomed enthusiastically without a fee, she was even allowed on the lovely rooftop bar - something we thoroughly appreciated after a roadtrip filled with unexpected pet fees and pets barred or disliked in many places. ||||The location of the hotel is amazing - within an easy walk of many restaurants/bars/entertainment options in the historic district - and the hotel itself was so well set up we barely wanted to leave. Loved the rooftop bar, the Bonvoy amenities available, and the rooms - beautiful hardwood floors and window seats made just hanging out in the room a pleasurable experience. The staff was universally welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant, including recommending a great place to park for free. ||||Highly recommend this hotel. What a unexpected surprise this hotel was. Arguably one of the best choices in the small town of Savannah.||||It has an incredible location on the river. My first impression was this amazing lobby scent that I later learned was custom and sold at the cute artisanal market in the lobby. ||||The aesthetic was an incredible balance of cool modern trendy yet touches of southern elegance. The front desk spoils you with compliments to the restaurants and something I’ve never seen before in all my travels a refillable bottle to use at their drink and snack presentation every night on the guest floors! Generous and eco friendly brilliant! loved the ambient offering.||||My rooms was perfectly appointed and so clean. I loved the little touches like the black make up towel and the amenities smelled so good.||||The weather didn’t cooperate 2 nights of my 3 night stay but luckily didn’t have to leave the outlets they are all have their own vibe. During the day the pool had these awesome cabanas and pool side service that really elevated the experience and felt so Miami cosmo-chic. At Rhett we had a great burger to go with my free draft. The roof was incredible and used yet again another compliment from the front desk and had an amazing sunset among new and old friends. The Concierge Amanda was a hero and set me up on a great tour so a rainy day didn't stop my sight seeing.||||LOVE LOVE LOVE coming back asap! More...

I am beyond grateful for the level of service we received from everyone on staff at The Alida. We hosted a business retreat here just a couple of weeks ago and the entire process, from planning to checkout, was wonderful. We had a group of about 50 and every single person had nothing but good things to say about their experience. Every day we were there, we were accomodated with ease. Someone was always willing and excited to answer our questions, offer us help and just show us the kindness and charm we were hoping to find in Savannah. Ellie, who helped plan our event was patient, graceful and made it easy to lock in every details. On site, Jackie was my literal hero. She was there every day and every step of the way to make sure all went as planned. Arthur, Chef, Greta + the front desk team, are also just a few of the names and talents that had such an impact on our stay. ||||Additionally, the location of The Alida itself was really special and quite convenient; it was super accessible and easy to navigate, which made the Historic District all the more enjoyable. ||||I can't say enough good things about the hotel and its staff. This hotel is stunning. When we walked in the sights and the smells instantly blew me away. Valet and front desk were so friendly and welcoming. The design is gorgeous. We were happy and it looked like everyone around us felt the same. Our room was incredible with great amenities. There was even a special amenity to wish us a happy anniversary. I could have stayed forever. On the way to our room we could grab a quick sparkling water from the cold tap... love that! All the details were so well thought out. Special shout out to the concierge Amanda who planned our whole day and gave amazing suggestions and veered us away from tourist traps with honest opinions. Haley at the front desk was so sweet and accommodating, too. Before we left we had some breakfast downstairs at Ruskin. Girls trip to Savannah. Room had two king beds, which was great, very comfortable. Bathroom was nice - lots of "hooks" to hang towels, bathing suits, cosmetic bags. Large, clean shower. Did not love the resort fee we unexpectedly had to pay. It included a hydration station, cold water, on each floor, fruit, and snacks. The fruit was moldy, twice, and we only saw "snacks" one night of our three night stay. It also incuded free coffee in the restaurant.||||Parking was expensive onsite, no one could tell us where the nearest lot was. We had to find ourselves. It is a block away, and $18/24 hours - with in/out priveledges. Location of this hotel is fantastic, partial river view, will be perfect once the surrounding construction is over. Lobby is very nice, calm and smells great. Pool is a nice place to cool off, but be warned, it only gets to 3 feet, so mostly just for cooling off. Rooftop bar is a gem, we had a lot of fun and were entertained by the staff. ||||Entire staff of hotel was very kind and accomodating. From front desk to valet. My stay at the Alida Hotel was nothing short of magnificent. I’m told the hotel is fairly new but you wouldn’t know that from the outside as it blends so perfectly into its surroundings, like it’s always been there. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, from the valet who welcomed me to the front desk agent who checked me in, gave me recommendations for the area, and free champagne. Every single member of the staff I met always had a smile and a hello ready, without it seeming forced. And maybe the best part, free hydration stations on every floor! That’s the hardest thing to find in hotels usually, free water, and this hotel gives you three types at each station (still, sparkling, and ambient).||The room, spacious and comfortable. The bed was plush but supportive. The window seat/nook was an excellent touch, making the room feel homey rather than hotel. The large flat screen with Chromecast made watching Netflix when I was in my room a breeze. My favorite touch is the vanity when you walk into the room. It’s elegant and convenient and other than rather dim lighting, is a perfect place to sit and put on your makeup.||The restaurant, Rhett, is aesthetically beautiful with the mixture of copper, leather and wood. The food is delicious. It really feels five star at three star prices. Highly recommend their breakfast potatoes. At check in, I was given coupons for two free beers in the Rhett bar every night of my stay which I utilized. The bartender was great, very friendly and offered lots of local advice for where to go and what to see.||There is a rooftop bar also. The view from there is spectacular. This lovely boutique-esque hotel is in the historic waterfront district and is perfect for guests. The lobby reception has a warm comforting feel with its soft, pleasant scent that makes you just want to just sit there and relax. The staff were all very friendly and exceptionally thoughtful to our needs. They were full of information and ideas to make our trip successful. This is very rare to find. We were upgraded to a beautiful room that we absolutely loved. The decor is what I would described as polished industrial which was clean and very chic. The bathroom was a favorite with its extra large towels to the "Red Flower" bath products, which I don't think we will be able to live without. The beds linens and the multiple large pillows made sleeping very comfortable. We had the view of the city and even with the construction it was very quiet and so lovely. We also met Gigi, the director of rooms at the hotel. She was so kind to my twins and I. We feel that Gigi went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Also, the valet employees were exceptional as well and were friendly and helpful. We cannot wait until we can schedule another stay. More...

We booked a river view deluxe room. The room was beautiful however it does NOT have a river view. There are buildings blocking your view of the river. My only complaint is that the room should not be advertised as river view when it only shows u a very small sliver of water between buildings. Our stay however was wonderful and the staff were very polite and gave us a credit to make up for the lack of river view. e More...

“Girls just want to have fun” and that we did!!! Spent the weekend here for a girls trip and it was the perfect spot for ambiance, scene, relaxation and service! ! This hotel blew us away with friendly staff and recommendations at every turn .. though we didn’t need to leave for anything! We rented a cabana and we had a “surprise and delight” with this one as it had a fresh fruit plate and wine waiting for us to devour! Great bar service out by pool that kept our cups filled and great bar food selections! Housekeeping was simply amazing they asked our preferred room cleaning time at check-in and room was serviced each day like clock work and we arrived to fresh linens and extra towels and amenities each day! Staff wished us well at each corner, asking what they could do to make our simply amazing stay, that much better! -you just did by asking! I love the Alida and cannot wait to get back! More...

Everything is clean and beautiful. The hotel is in walking distance of everything downtown. Their rooftop bar is awesome with amazing views! The only complaint I have is there is no coffee pot in the room. That is a huge issue for us!! All my friends complained about that. No one wants to go downstairs in their pjs for coffee. And I’m sure no one at the hotel wants to see that! LOL More...

I came to the Alida for a business trip in August this year, it was my first trip to Savannah. I was so impressed with this amazing, boutique-like hotel. From the get go, I was a fan. The lobby is decorated in mid-century, cool furniture. It was inviting and smelled great. ||The staff was excellent, and even remembered my name as I was coming and going. Check in was easy, and the staff was willing to answer any question I had about the area. One cool thing...when you check into the Alida, you are given a water bottle and told that each floor has a water station with taps that have sparkling water, still water, and ice-cold still water. This was great, as one of the first things I usually do when I travel is go out to find a convenient store to buy water. ||The rooms were very comfortable. I believe that all of the rooms have king sized beds, and my room had two. The stylish bathroom was loaded with great smelling toiletries, and the towels were soft. My room had a cool bench in the window, and it was a nice spot in the room to just relax for a few minutes. ||I am always looking for a good gym when I travel and this one did not disappoint. There are plenty of cardio machines, a Peloton cycle, a full weight bench, rollers, pads, kettlebells...this one had it all. ||I would highly recommend the Alida in Savannah, GA. It is close to the river walk, and the ambiance can’t be beat. || More...

They also let us know all about the "hydration station" on our floor- which consisted of different waters & light snacks. The room was spacious and adorable, and the beds were SO COMFY. We lounged by the pool for one of the days... Chelsea & Nikki took the BEST care of us! (Also- their hotel restaurant Rhett has amazing food!!) The hotel's manager even stopped by our pool cabana & asked us how our stay was going, & checked to see if he could do anything to make our stay better. We loved the balcony bar too! Our group of 4 stayed for 4 nights and loved the location, decor, vibe and scent of this hotel (yes, its scented!) The staff was very professional and helpful when we needed them. I really appreciated the water station on our floor which often had fresh fruit or trail mix available once a day. The pool was nice and I loved that it had a gradual incline into it. Nice to just sunbathe in the shallow end. Rooftop bar was very relaxing. Breakfast at Rhett was delicious. What we didnt like was the $40/day parking. After day one, we parked at a local city garage a couple blocks away and ended up paying less than that total for the next 3 days. I also wish there was coffee in the room. The Alida is a beautifully designed hotel. Check-in was effortless and we were offered complimentary champagne to welcome us for our anniversary. We stayed in a one king, pool view room and it was perfect - very spacious with many drawers and plenty of space to lay out our things. The bed was SO comfortable. The bathroom was also very spacious and very clean. The rooftop bar is spectacular with gorgeous views of the city and of the river. We spent a good portion of our time at the hotel pool since our time in Savannah was more for relaxing. The only complaint I would have about the pool is the bar was only open on Friday and Saturday and this is not how the pool bar was advertised online. The Open Swim and Bottomless Mimosa Brunch on the 4th Sunday was false advertising as well. The overall cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel was a little disappointing. The first day our room did not get attention until very late in the afternoon even though we had the Please tidy the room card on the outside of our room since early morning. The last two days our room never did get attention so we had to go ask for clean towels and both of our trash cans were overflowing by the end of our stay. We found quite a few things that needed attention during our stay, all of which could easily be fixed but we just expected a little more from this hotel. More...

We were only in Savannah for one night and found this hotel online. It looked amazing and near the river so we decided to try it. I'm so glad we did! The interior design of the hotel is stunning and luxurious. Even our teenage daughter and niece were impressed. Our room was relaxing, clean and we loved the window seat. The beds were super comfortable and it's rare to find a room with 2 King beds! Rooftop bar was gorgeous and we used both the pool and fitness room. They even set up a bar outside near the pool when the weather is nice. When you check-in they give each guest a water bottle that you can fill at the "hydration station" on your floor-very environmentally friendly! The station offers still, sparkling and room temp water and also bags of ice for your room. A bowl of fruit is always there and other snacks added later in the day. I HAVE to mention the "gift shop" in the lobby. It is filled with unique and mostly locally/regionally made items and was more like a boutique than a hotel gift shop. I have never wanted to purchase so many items from a hotel shop. They even have artwork by local artists. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful hotel in a great location that is walkable to several restaurants and events. Delicious spots inside the hotel especially at Rhett. I very much enjoyed their breakfast. Also loved the coffee stand and water stations with three choices of water! So accommodating and clean and spacious rooms. We had 4 ladies in one room and there was plenty of room for all of us. I love the Art Deco mid century modern vibe of the hotel spaces with amazing wallpaper and tile work. Rooftop was awesome with live music and drinks/food to order at the bar. Ohhh and the pool was a huge plus! Everyone was so nice and considerate. Wonderful experience! More...

We were immediately met at our car by Alex who accompanied us inside and helped us to get checked in. He was very kind and helpful in ensuring we had our needs met for our three-night stay. For those of you rushing through looking for quick answers: yes, this is the place you want to stay, business or pleasure, family or couples getaway… honestly, whatever your situation, you will feel more than at home here. The hotel is gorgeous, the rooms adorable (safe, refrigerator, comfy mattresses, and a long table/desk), hydration stations on every floor, rooftop bar has amazing views, pool is awesome, restaurant delicious, and the location is PERFECT! You are a very short walk from the river and City Market. For those of you that have more time, I want to share with you a story about the most important part of this hotel, its people. The soul of any establishment lies within the people that bring it to life. Our first night at The Alida, my son became extremely ill. At first, I thought it was something simple that we could manage. This is when I met Jessica at the front desk. She sent me items needed to care for my son. Around 2am, the situation became critical, 911 was called, and Jessica sent a gentleman named Darnell to our room to help me with my son and get things ready to leave with the EMTs. Darnell was so kind and helped my son by calmly talking to him. Without going into the details of my son’s health, I just want you to know that the efficiency, time, and care these two people gave to my son and I was above and beyond any expectation I would have ever had. As we left with the ambulance, Jessica gave me her card and told me to let them know if they could help in any way. I spoke to her two more times early that morning. There is more. A few hours into the day, I received an email from Gigi, the hotel director of rooms. She introduced herself and asked if there was anything they could do to assist us in any way. Gigi quickly became my rock and managed to figure out ways to help us that we greatly appreciated. She spoke with Orfy, who immediately volunteered to pick my son and I up at Memorial Hospital upon release, and also spoke with the chef at The Rhett regarding making chicken noodle soup for my son. They don’t even have soup on the menu, but they didn’t let that stop them. He had amazing soup. The Rhett is the restaurant in the lower level of the hotel. While I only smiled and waved at the chef that made the soup, I had many conversations of support from Cierra and Leyda. See, once we were back at the hotel, I ate all of my meals there because YUM and so that I could be close to my son without eating in front of him. Every meal was absolutely delicious. We ended up extending our stay an extra day to ensure my son had ample recovery time prior to traveling back home. During those days, everyone above, as well as several others, checked on us, helped us, and even gave me a few hugs. This place is more than a hotel for us, it’s a home away from home, which is exactly what we needed when we needed it most. All of the people I encountered were truly good to us. I could rave about this Hotel all day! We chose Savannah as our Wedding Destination with 200+ people traveling in from out of town. As a former Marriott Employee I wanted a Hotel that would WOW my Guests - and The Alida surely did that! Our Venue was at another location however we did have our Rehearsal Dinner here as well as our Wedding Room Block. This Hotel provides all of the Southern Hospitality Charm with the most delightful Staff. Our Guests raved about every part of the Hotel from the beautiful Rooms to the Water Stations on every floor. ||||We booked a Room Thursday night prior to the wedding just so we could experience the Hotel - we had booked our rooms at our venue. They upgraded us to a corner suite that was stunning. We had a beautiful wrapped gift waiting for us with a handwritten note of congratulations from the Team along with a bottle of chilled champagne!||||We were one of the first to book an Event as we booked everything prior to opening. Ellie (Thodal) Tumlinson was the most patient and the most kind Manager to have worked with. She stayed in touch almost weekly to calm my nerves about Reservations. Booking our Rehearsal Dinner was also a very, smooth process. We had requested an Italian theme and hosted our Bridal Party and Family in one of the Banquet rooms that opened up to the pool. I was very nervous about the Food as we would be one of the first Events hosted. It was spectacular! We offered three options - Spaghetti & Meatballs, Chicken Alfredo, and a Vegetarian Pesto Pasta. They were all so good that most tables started sharing everything! The Vegetarian Pesto option was one of the most requested. For Dessert we had a Chef Attended Gelato Station following the Italian theme. Delicious Pistachio and Strawberry Gelato was the perfect way to end the evening. Ellie was always near checking on everything and the staff was on top of everything.||||We will be back again and again. We booked a stay at The Alida, as we wanted to spend a night in Savannah on our way from Tampa to the Outer Banks. Savannah has been a pitstop for us before but we've always stayed right off 95; this time we wanted to be downtown and experience Historic Savannah - but we were going to have our dog with us. Lucky for us, several Marriott properties downtown allow pets, but The Alida was 100% pet friendly (no size limitations) and no additional fee. We stayed one night, and due to some crummy weather ended up sitting in The Trade Room (lobby bar) with our pup for most of the evening. The staff could not have been friendlier - we had a great evening. The room was well appointed, modern but comfortable. Loved the window seat overlooking the pool. We ended up loving it so much and were so bummed about the bad weather that we booked a stay the following weekend on our way home! This time we were upgraded to a great corner room, with a separate living area, huge bathroom and closet and gorgeous windows overlooking the river. Again the staff was wonderful - dog treats at check in and Frankie made herself at home again in the The Trade Room. Even without having our dog with us, this is a wonderful property - very new, cozy, great location, nice lobby bar, roof bar, pool. We'll definitely be back next time we head to Savannah - thank you for being so pet friendly and understanding that it is tough to travel with our furry family members! ||||Pet travelers - pets cannot be left unattended in the rooms so just prepare to take your dog out with you - TONS of pet friendly patios around though. Our daughter turned 18 this weekend and wanted to share this event with family and friends. We decided to stay with The Alida for this memorable event. ||Upon checking in, staff were very welcoming and ready to assist. The place smelled very nice. My daughter and her best friend noticed the scent right away and smiled, commenting on how good the hotel smelled and how nice the hotel looked. My daughter also loved seeing the cute dogs and puppies in the hotel. I had to inform of her of the hotel being pet-friendly.||Checking in was a breeze. Greta was professional and very informative, advising of the amenities hotel provided, hotel parking, hotel restaurant, etc.The agents were dressed very nicely and provided quick service to get guests checked in, while providing nice bright smiles.||As we made our way to my daughter’s suite, she was excited and couldn’t stop smiling. When she opened her room door, she was in awe of how beautiful her room was set up. She didn’t know that I had already informed The Alida that it was her birthday weekend and wow, she was definitely impressed and happy! The staff had already had her favorite color balloons floating in her room, a tier display full of candy, a bottle of pink Welch’s sparkling pink juice, a gift bag, etc. She was definitely surprised and grateful for the birthday acknowledgment.||The corner suite was fabulous. The set-up was perfect for her girls weekend of celebrating her 18th birthday with having access to River Street, City Market and a nice restaurant to dine in right at the hotel. Perfect location for walking to and from whatever locations in downtown Savannah. The room was perfect to entertain a few of her friends, a few staying as a slumber party and a few just hanging out for game night. The king size bed was sooooo comfortable and the pillows were like sleeping on clouds (according to her). The suite had a separate living room area with a nice sofa pull-out. The girls LOVED the radio in the room. They just synced their phones to the radio and DJ’ed their own party.||My husband and I stayed a few doors down to supervise. We were accommodated in a twin King beds room and this was another WOW. The room was huge. We had our 3 younger children staying with us and it was more than enough room. The room was beautiful. The bathroom was amazing. We LOVED the sitting area overlooking the pool. The beds and the bedding were very comfortable. The pillows were also comfy and put us right to sleep. Our 4 yr old son gave the room 2-thumbs up. He and his sister enjoyed the pool. They also LOVED breakfast at Rhett. Nikki was a superb server. The kids loved her!||All-in-all, it was all worth the happiness and memories. More...

It was a last-minute decision to stay in Savannah, but we are glad we did it. The Alida was a great place to stay, just a few steps away from the very end of river street. Very hipster vibe. Here are some of my favorite things about it:1. Amazingly comfortable bed - plush feather pillows, soft clean sheets, fantastic cloud like mattress that you sank into while still giving support where needed. 2. Any place that has sparkling water on tap for their guests at no charge is In my book. Each floor has a “hydration station” where you can get a cup or fill a cute Alida labeled milk bottle style water bottle with fresh cold still or sparkling water at no charge. In a place where you’re walking in the heat up and down river street, this is extremely nice to have 3. Location - it is on the very very end of River street, but just go out the back down of the restaurant downstairs and you’re basically on river street. 4. The staff - literally every person on staff you pass is polite and friendly and wants to make sure you are enjoying your stay. It was noticeable. 5. The amenities - A) The pool was fantastic for my little daughter as it’s a 3 foot total walk in pool. She was able to walk in and could play in the majority of it, and she loved her independence. I loved it because there were covered private cabanas around the pool where I could sit on a comfy outdoor sofa in the shade and watch her and her daddy in the pool. B) the rooftop bar had tons of seating, great views of the river and the bridge, and was just a fun vibe C) the gym was well equipped and had mini water bottles etc. there for your hydration needs D) there were so many beautiful areas to sit and enjoy the people watching or just chat together. It was a beautiful (blog worthy) hotelOnly area of critique I might have is that there is no coffee in the room - they offer it by the restaurant complementary in the morning, which is great - but there was no decaf offered. Since I’m pregnant I can’t enjoy regular coffee, so I missed having my morning brew. I also prefer to brew it in my room so I can have it while I’m walking up prior to getting dressed and ready to start my day. But that’s just me. It was definitely minor and not a deterant from staying here again. We are glad we discovered this great hotel! More...

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to Savannah ||||My colleague and I drove up- our Uber met with warm smiles by the door staff. They grabbed our bags and whisked us to the front desk. The women at desk were pretty fantastic. We were offered a drink and checked in quickly. I like quick. Don’t want to talk too much after a long day. ||||The room was fresh and clean. I hate the smell of chemicals. Not here. The rooms feel new and fresh. ||||I laid in bed and fell in love with the comfort and omg the pillows. I must find out where they are from. One of the best night sleeps I’ve had away from home in a long time. I woke up refreshed and feeling healthy ready to work. ||||Had a great breakfast in Rhett. Yum those biscuits. (Ask to buy some and take them home) ||||We didn’t get to enjoy the pool but it looks fabulous. I love the plants everywhere. Some seem like they are dying from over watering or maybe the wrong choice for the outdoor heat. But they plants and trees do make it lush and comfortable. ||||I did use the gym. Wow great equipment for a hotel gym. They even have a peloton bike. So awesome. ||||We walked all over town and came back for a few drinks and snacks on the roof. Wow, what terrific views. Love watching the container ships come in and squeeze under that bridge. ||||I’ll be back because the staff is so accommodating and willing to help. Best touch when I came back from another work dinner for a fantastic night sleep I found a beautiful note from the lady who cleaned my room thanking me for staying. Wow. More...

The hotel appears to be a refurbished warehouse, but it was built New. It is complimented with decor from the South Carolina Art and Design school, which has apparently taken over Savannah since my visit in the 1990's. The room was very interesting, and we were still discovering things like the hidden minibar under the window seat as we were checking out. The roof top bar was a special find, and I highly recommend it. It is open to the public, so on any given night it can be a happening destination. The staff, concierge, bartenders, and valet team were all five stars. Sadly the pool area probably needed a daily power wash due to construction dust from the new Marriott property being built in an old power station next door. So, the pool wasn't appealing, but it looks like it has a lot of potential in the future. The on-site Gym looked complete. The location is at the far west end of the River walk, and you can exit out the lower level to the River street. We planned to do a lot of walking, and the River walk location was perfect. More...

This is a new property in Savannah and has very good security aspects, and very comfortable lounging spaces - by the pool with cabannas; a rooftop lounge/bar; a first floor lounge; a fire pit lounge; and a lobby that is somewhat techie but with comfortable chairs. The downstairs restaurant is quite good, especially for breakfast. (The decor is a bit basic, but pleasant. It just isn't fancy.). We were served by Roxy, who is a very pleasant young woman participating in a great program to train young people in the serving industry. || Antonio did a very good job in getting our car whenever we needed it. The parking is $35 a night, but worth it- especially since the young men and women at the front door do a good job in greeting, and handling the traffic out front.|| I highly recommend this property if you want a home base to explore Savannah as well as a place to lounge and relax. We were there for Christmas as well.|| The staff is very accommodating: they are quite able to give a lot of privacy as well as serve whatever requests you have. More...

The aesthetics of this hotel are gorgeous, simple and slightly nautical given the river location. I had a room with a window seat that overlooked the bridge and busy harbor area. The bed was easily the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever encountered - which was exactly what I needed as I was fighting a bad cold and just wanted sleep. For that reason, I ordered room service from the restaurant and it was very good. The shower was outstanding as well. There was a small desk but it would have been a bit challenging to use as a work space had I needed to work. My stay included a complimentary breakfast which was delicious and filling. ||||I did not make it to the rooftop bar, but would on a future visit. The Alida is centrally located to restaurants, tourist areas and SCAD - car probably not needed (add $35 parking to the car rental cost and you can take quite a few Uber rides). It was a $23 Uber ride to the airport from the hotel. All in all, a very pleasant stay and we will definitely return on a future trip to Savannah. More...

First time to Savannah and this was a great hotel to stay at. We booked several rooms for our family as we were in town for a family wedding. The hotel is new and very clean. Loved the hydration station on each floor--no need to buy water bottles. We found the location to be ideal. Nice pool area--though on one of the weekend days they were having trouble keeping up with clean towels out by the pool. Staffers were very friendly. My only issue was the bill. After I arrived home, I realized that we were charged for parking on two of the rooms--we only had one car. I called and had trouble getting a hold of the manager. Eventually we made contact and she said she would look into it. After not receiving a call back, I called again and was informed that the charge was removed. I do recall that we made a point at check-in to remind them that we had just one car. All in all, not a big deal and the charge of $140 was removed albeit after a few more phone calls than I would have liked. We would stay there again and it is definitely a solid choice. More...
