Save yourself money and stress. Avoid them. Gave them our stuff in February and got nothing but excuses until August. When they finally saw us they put us in a room with someone taking their very first look at our taxes. This person then bent our ears with her anti-vax theories and Sovereign Citizen talking points while doing less work than an H&R Block part timer would have. Gave us no advice on how to deal with the IRS. Shocking. Had to hire an actual tax professional to undo the damage that they caused. Use at your own risk. I met with them in January 2023 where I explained that my husband works freelance, works all over the US, different states each year, and is there working for several months and pays state taxes in each. I gave her last year's tax files for reference, I gave the company a deposit and told them I’d send all tax docs as soon as I get everything. By February, they had all required tax docs.

Weeks go by and I don’t hear from them so I reach out mid-March to make sure they had everything they needed from me. They said they had everything and they're on it. They’re busy. I get it. Tax time is rough. I called them again the beginning of April to see if they’d be ready soon. Called them on Apr 12 then again on the 13th. Was always told someone was working on them and would send me the returns soon. Then on April 18.. Tax day.. at 11am they call me to tell me they had to file an extension and I should pay 90% of what we paid last year.

Well, there are new states involved in 2022 that weren’t involved in 2021 so I don’t know if we owe them money or not. 2022 was a bad year financially and we didn’t earn as much so less in savings AND we don’t think we will have to pay as much this year.

I asked the person who called, should a penalty arise as a result of us not paying any taxes due, if they would pay the penalty and she said no. I would have to pay them. “but don’t worry, they’re usually minimal and the CPA, Jolene would try to negotiate the penalty away”. I paid the states that we paid last year but not the new ones as I have no idea how much to pay them. ALSO I sent the IRS over $10k as that is "90% of last year". About a week after tax day I'm informed that the IRS owes us money back from 2022. So I sent them over $10k even though they owe us. Now my money is tied up with the federal government. As of today, May 17th, we have yet to receive that money or my refund due back. We are not a wealthy family.

Good luck to anyone who uses this company for their tax prep. They'll shove your taxes to the bottom of the pile until after tax day and tie up your cash for months then send you a bill for $775 for the pleasure of working with them. ($150 deposit and then another $625 afterwards) More...
