What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
We consider our style to be "photo-jouranlistic," as we strive to capture real, candid moments, candid expressions and interactions between our clients. We don't "fake" the story. It is rare we interrupt a scene to force poses and what not, because we connect to our clients on a very genuine level. Of course, throughout wedding day, there will be times for us to do more traditional type portrait pictures, where there are poses, etc. But even then, we will have our clients interact in some way.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
We want to know about your story! We want to find out what type of photography your passionate about getting on your wedding day and collaborating those ideas and visions together.
What do you love most about your job?
There is something about working weddings that has stuck with me since my first one ever photographing in 2008. It could be the chaos, lol, cause let's face it, they can be intense! It could be all the different challenging characteristics about a wedding; the different lighting your going to have to manipulate, the various surroundings and backgrounds you'll have to be aware of, the non stop face past GO-GO-GO aura of the day. Wedding photography is like skydiving, riding a street bike at 107mph, it is like being the goalie of an intense All Stars soccer game where your sweeper is not on their A-game! Weddings are all about taking your knowledge and skill, and applying it in a way where you must know what you are doing 110% at all times. I enjoy this. As I enjoy doing the other things as well described! When clients choose my services, I am so excited to offer them something special and unique.
