Just went there the other night with my wife for our anniversary. I've seen mixed reviews due to new ownership, but we had a great meal and a great time. One of Holland's best-kept secrets, nestled in a little spot near downtown. Our host was attentive and helpful, the owner/chef came out to see what we thought. I had salmon, my wife had homemade beef ravioli in a gorganzola white sauce. A little pricey but excellent food! I've never had salmon taste so fresh, and her raviolis were excellent. Excellent food and service. I haven't been here since 2012 and a lot has changed. The menu, during my visit, was more of chef's specials. They do have pizza on a regular menu. They were very accommodating to slight changes to our meals. We had the buccantini and red sauce. I love having a little protein in my pasta and they without complaint added Italian sausage. I have been to Pereddies many times and have had a great experience every time. But tonight just topped those, I went looking for a quick bite not realizing that the deli was closed. When I walked in (the new) owner gave me a welcome greeting and helped me out and was way more than generous and gave me a great deal and even threw in few extra rolls (which I totally recommend)! Highly impressed with the service at Pereddies. Their restaurant is currently closed for renovations, but we had appetizers & pizza at the bar. It was DELICIOUS. The owner himself came over to check on us & make sure that we were completely satisfied.I cannot wait to go back & highly suggest that any one in the area go there, immediately.There is also a great Italian market where you can buy many of the delicious ingredients. We walked out with olives & bread. While we are from out of town, we will return as often as we can for the great food & amazingly personal service.Thank you Pereddies! More...

Long story short, the Pereddies crew was incredibly patient, kind, and gracious as we planned a wedding party in the garden room amidst an unexpected tragedy in my family. They accommodated last minute changes up to and including arranging for us to use the art gallery next door for our ceremony. Our special day was perfect, the food was incredible, the service was impeccable, and there were many whispers of "best wedding ever," a sentiment I certainly share (biased as I may be). This place used to be very authentic and an excellent Italian restaurant. Not any more! No Sangria specials on the weekend and Doesn't serve meals between 2:00 and 5:00. Hands down The worst Italian menu we've ever seen!! They tried to serve Veal finally on the menu however, I wouldn't recommend ordering it. It was over cooked, dry and no seasoning. Service is very attentive but, inexperienced. They are trying as new owners, but Food is sub par. We will not go back. A shame as we have been coming to the Tulip Festival for 10 years and eating at Pereddies for 9 of those years. More...

I received an email from the NEW owners of Pereddies inviting me to return and try the restaurant under new ownership. Since I live out of state and only visit Holland a couple times a year- my first chance to try it again was this past Easter 2019. Wow! Â What an impressive improvement!!!!The place is spotless clean now and the menu was perfect for everything Italian that I love to eat! Â Service was fabulous and I added a cup of their 'Soup of the Day' to my meal - Champagne mushroom and brie- oh my goodness it was soo amazingly good I could have eaten the whole pot!I highly recommend Pereddies for a great Italian meal, friendly and clean atmosphere and superb service! Went to the Scusi Bar tonight and had a wonderful experience again. For one, Chris was our server and he is such an urbane guy - fun to talk to and a terrific server. Ate at Pereddies last night and the first time under new management. We've been going here for years and to be honest were growing tired of the same old menu and mediocre cooking and service. We ate dinner at the Scusi bar (best little, intimate bar in Holland) because every table in the restaurant was taken! We started with prosciutto wrapped prawns and the sautéed calamari for appetizers. The prawns were huge and served on a sauce that was indescribably delicious. Prawns were crispy from the prosciutto but juicy and chunky! The calamari was actually fresh, and sliced themselves (not frozen, breaded and fried). Again, served on a delicious fresh lime sauce; so refreshing. We then split an order of whole baked Branzino fish, served on a bed of fresh sliced fennel. Branzino is our all-time favorite fish but we haven't seen it offered in Holland before. True to form, it was so meaty, juicy and sumptuous, The owner offered to filet it for us, but we had done it before; those large bones are easy to discard. We paired this with Oxford Landing Sauvignon Blanc, served by the glass behind he bar. Honestly, it was one of the best meals we have had in Holland. Finally, we finished the meal with bowls of spumoni ice-cream and expresso. The spumoni was so flavorful, with a combination of chocolate, cherry, vanilla and pistachio ice-cream, with sliced almonds and cherries. Ever had real spumoni? It is just a treat. In summary, it looks like the new owners are intent on rescuing this tired old place, matching the beautiful interior with truly beautiful food. Bravo! More...

This is an update to my formerly lukewarm review. Under new ownership, a great addition to the Holland dining scene. It was formerly very boring with offerings that sounded good, but were indifferently prepared. We used to just go to the bar for happy hour apps, pizza and to the deli for salads and dessert to take home in a pinch. The deli is still good, and the grocery store is slowly evolving to more curated offerings. One recent reviewer on Yelp mentions tough pasta; she probably liked the old, overcooked pasta. It's now al dente and very good. We haven't been to the restaurant part under new ownership, but hear that the servers/hostess are still not very nice (not what you expect in a fine dining setting). The bar, however, we can review (and you can order from the full menu there). The new app of prosciutto-wrapped prawns in romesco sauce is outstanding. The whole stuffed branzino was delicious -- so great to get a whole fish and not an unidentifiable filet. The recent inconsistent reviews on Yelp may be due to transition pains; not sure when new owners took over. Re the review mentioning dirt: it was always a little scruffy and grimy under the previous owner. That's definitely an area that will be easy to improve on. Hope so! Love this place! We walked in and automatically were greeted and we felt like the staff was so happy that we were there. The food was to die for and we love supporting local businesses. The owner overheard my boyfriend and I talking about how my boyfriend used to come here for lunch during high school and order the pepperoni rolls.
