I hired Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and North Milwaukee County to have four doors replaced in my house. I have family members who work as carpenters and engineers, and I've worked with them in the past, but I thought it would be nice to get it all done at once. For two people, it took way too long. There were lots of times where one was just standing around. Despite having tools at my disposal, one of the workers decided to leave and get his own, and that took him more than an hour to complete. In the meantime, the second worker stayed behind and cut a section of a door with some multi-purpose tool. I don't know if he didn't have a saw or what, but his method took about an hour to complete. Once he finally completed that, he ended up standing around, waiting for the other worker to return. They have quick response, friendly and knowledgeable employees. We had a storm door installed and the installer was great to work with. The installation guide said it would take an hour plus to install. He completed the job in 45 minutes. Unlike a lot of service techs, repairmen, he cleaned up the job completely and bundled up the paperwork and spare parts not required for my install (which the directions sent parts for multiple types of installations) and handed those to me. I got their name from my neighbor who had work done by them and was happy with their work.  I called Mr Handyman after hours and left a message and received a call back by 8:10 am the next day. I told Todd the work I needed to get done and he set up a time, that worked for us, for Steve to come out and give us a quote. Steve arrived to give us a quote and explained what he would need to do, material he would use, and estimate to do the work with material. Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and North Milwaukee County has always done great work for me. This was not my first time using their services. I had them come out recently to repair some plaster. Alton was the technician who came out. He was running a bit late but the office did call to make me aware that he was running behind schedule. When he arrived he looked over the plaster area to be worked on and let me know what he could do. He also took the time to answer the questions I had for him. He was professional and knowledgeable and very courteous. He was concerned about making sure everything got done right and that the work area was left clean. He was respectful of my home and cordial. They were professional courteous and neat

I hired Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and North Milwaukee County to install new wood base moldings in the living room. The office staff and the communication I would give them a five-star rating they did a really good job. The company as a whole I would give a 4.5-star rating. The handyman that came out did arrive on time but he forgot to bring his air compressor and had to go back and get that which took about 30 minutes. Then there was one hiccup or a misunderstanding so he had to undo a part of the work and redo it according to what I wanted. As a result of this, I would give the handyman a three-star rating.

The end product was very good and I would give it a 4.5-star rating. We were able to work through the little hiccup and get a very good end result. The service that this company did for me was very good but to get to that point there is a $100 per hour charge with a minimum of two hours with a trip charge so in terms of cost I think they are on the high end. I worked in building trades for decades and I know labor cost and just think that this was expensive. My overall experience for everything I would give them a four-star rating. The workman was named Dan, and I was so impressed with the quality of his work, and his manners, that I specifically asked for him on the next project. Mr. Handyman is DEPENDABLE! I hired a different company at first to clean my gutters and they were a no show. I was getting worried I would have clogged gutters all winter so I called Mr. Handyman. They really do everything! Not only did they get me in, they came out the next day at 8am right on time! Mr. Handyman of Naperville came out today to correct the installation of a ceiling fixture hung by someone else. The person that came out today was great! Sorry, not good with remembering names, but this guy was very good at his job.....I was impressed with his straight forward approach in completing the task. He had to take the fixture down and cut/adjust all the wires and chain. Also, he installed a hook to swag the light over the table. All in all  he did a great job in a safe yet quick fashion. It is just a pleasure to use the services of Mr. Handyman serving Greater Jacksonville. I've hired them for jobs at home and recently used them for a job at the school. I definitely give them five stars for service and definitely recommend them. The school job was not an easy one. I needed them to mount some hospital curtains on tracks that also needed to be installed. The tracks are bendable and it was tricky, but Mr. Handyman was able to do it without any problem. I've used Mr. Handyman at my home to fix some fencing and lighting. Other people I've used in the past have had problems arriving on time and problems just getting the project done right. This is my first time using Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and North Milwaukee County. I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance for a handyman to come out and install some drywall and do some cement filler and a few other small jobs. Everything has been fine and I would have given them a five-star rating for everything except that they called me the day of my scheduled appointment and rescheduled for an hour and a half later.

The two handymen were very experienced and did a very good job with what they had to deal with. With all the rain this past summer and fall, outside areas were either leaning, deteriorating or falling apart. These 2 men were very knowledgeable and did their best for the issues encountered. I should not have any problems for several to many years to come and the items (outdoor shed and gate post to fix are now stable, more available to use and look a lot better after more than 20 years). The estimate was exceeded even though 1 task was removed but there were a few issues that were encountered with the wooden shed- main point was to level it off rather than sinking into the ground and some deteriorating wooden trim that you could put your finger through as easy as paper. Most handymen over the years would not bother.

I've used Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and North Milwaukee County in the past for odd jobs and been very satisfied. However, this recent job was less than satisfactory. It got off to a bad start with a scheduling mix-up at the office. I needed some leaves cleaned out from my gutters and scheduled the job for Tuesday. On Friday, I got a confirmation call that the handyman would be here on Monday. So I waited around all day on Monday and finally called the office. They were confused and said that call had been made in error and the job was still scheduled for Tuesday. When the handyman showed on Tuesday, I didn't think his ladder was long enough for the job but I had an appointment and had to leave. By the time I got back, he was finished. He had done most of the gutters but not the one that was hardest to reach because some bushes were blocking his access. So that part of the gutter remains clogged. I plan to have the gutters cleaned out again before the end of the season, but will hire someone else who will come better equipped to do the entire job. I scheduled a handyman with Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and North Milwaukee County. I needed assembly of a dresser, two full beds, and a nightstand. The handyman that came out was very charming and he worked very hard. He was here for five hours and did not stop for so much as a drink of water, he just worked and worked! He finished with the entire assembly of all of the furniture in what I thought was a reasonable amount of time.

The only thing that I would say or advise is that they were an hour and fifteen minutes late. I do not think it was the handyman's fault but rather a mixup with dispatching. Dispatch did call me to let me know that they were coming and apologized for the lateness.

If you asked me to rate Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and North Milwaukee County at the beginning of the day I would have given them one star. But by the end of the day, I gave them four stars. The handyman was four hours behind schedule. Not his fault. He had run into complications with his earlier job. Unfortunately, I had taken a half-day of vacation time from my job to be home and was seriously stressing about the hours as they ticked by. It was my last few hours of vacation time for the year and Mr. Handyman's office had told me the repair would take five hours. But when Bill finally arrived, he was so nice, and so awesome, and he did a great job. He had the entire thing done in two hours. He replaced an old toilet with a new one and also replaced the kitchen faucet. The water shut-off was thirty-five years old and badly corroded so it took a lot of effort to move it. He got soaked in the process but he got it open. I was so happy when the job was finally done and done well! Mr. Handyman of Wheaton-Hinsdale was wonderful! I had an issue that came about right before I was buying my new house. The FHA would not approve us until a list of minor repairs were made. Unfortunately, we would not be there in order for them to do the work. We had to count on them to take care of everything without us. This was the first time that I tried Mr. Handyman of Wheaton-Hinsdale, and I could not believe how quickly they responded to my call for help. The sent out technicians so promptly! They took care of measuring a window that needed replacing and ordered the part for us. They had to fix the doorknob on one of the doors to make it shut correctly, plus several other minor things to fix. They returned the day before the sale of the house to put in the new window and discovered it was water buildup behind it that was actually the problem and not the window itself. In any case, they took care of everything. The day before the purchase was a very stressful day for me but I trusted Mr. Handyman of Wheaton-Hinsdale to take care of things. We are so impressed! I have to admit, I was skeptical whether Mr. Handyman would be able to handle two very different projects that I needed done: (1) fix the screens damaged in the porch room and (2) repair the yard fence from a tree that fell into our yard from Hurricane Dorian. I'm ninety-three years old and taking care of the house is getting to be too much work for me. So I hired Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and North Milwaukee County to come around and do some things. This year I needed some exterior painting, so they sent a painter over to the house. He was a very nice guy and he painted the trim on the garage and a little bit of trim on the house. I'm still trying to decide what to do about the awnings. If I should take them down or have them painted. My son is helping me look at options. I contacted Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and North Milwaukee County because I needed my stair railing fixed. It had been loose for awhile and I didn't think it would be safe to leave it that way. The Handyman showed up on time, he was a younger man and very personable. As it turns out the stair railing only needed to have a screw replaced which took him about five minutes. He let me know that he was scheduled out for an hour and a half and that if I had anything else that I needed he would be happy to accomodate me. I had a list of things that I just couldn't do anymore and I kept him busy. He did things for me like sweep out the garage and fix some drippy water lines outside. All this work was what I call scrappy little jobs but he was not deterred at all nor was he offended to do these jobs! I saw that Mr. Handyman had excellent reviews on Yelp and on Angie List. Danny came out at 8 am the next morning. I asked the office to have him call me because I wanted to give him instructions. When he called, he already had it all figured out and his plan matched what I wanted exactly. He repaired the sheet metal, sealed it, and had paint matched so the the repaired area would be visible. Mr. Handyman of Huntsville recently helped us with a wide variety of projects at a new house. They helped us get the nursery built, and upgraded a set of brick steps. They helped hang some large paintings, and did some carpentry work in the kitchen. And, they helped build bookcases in the library, and then anchored them to the walls for safety. I have found that they do professional work, and that they are very reliable. They do everything that you ask them to do. Our real estate agent hired another so-called "handyman" before we got here, and he made many promises, but kept few of them. He simply did the jobs he liked, and left the rest undone. Mr. Handyman has been a great help to me for years. The most recent visit has been the best, though, because I finally have a completed project that I started years ago, and didn't know how to finish. I built bookcases from kits and have used them for years, but didn't like the top trim that came with the kit, and didn't know how to change that. I also didn't know how to make triangular end cabinets, because the company who made the kits didn't have triangular end units. Enter Les. I had very detailed requirements for this project, to make it look like the existing ones. Les was able to make the trim look exactly like the existing bookcases (no small feat, that), built triangular end units that fit the space, made a beautiful arch trim for the top of the old cabinets and the new end units, and then topped the whole thing with crown moulding, then painted it to match the existing shelves. Great job refurbished my existing wooden door. They stripped it down to bare wood and restained it. The door looks new and it was cheaper to refurbish then to buy a new door.

I really like Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and North Milwaukee County. They are like jack-of-all-trades people, and they can do anything and everything. And, do it well!
