I hired McLean Design Associates (Meriem) for the interior design of the main floor and the master bedroom of our new house. Meriem created the designs while the house was being built and then she managed the delivery and installations as we moved in. Without Meriem, our house would not be the beautiful, warm, unique yet livable home that it is. She was integral to the selection of far more than furnishings, providing her talented design eye to everything including wood flooring, kitchen cabinets, backsplash, wall colors and fireplace surround.
She is a professional in the best sense of the word. She presents her ideas then listens. She is confident in her selections, can explain why and builds trust. Yet if something doesn't resonate with us, she develops a design that does while remaining attentive to our budget. Her dedication to client satisfaction and her quality of work are superb.
Meriem has immense patience. She always has time for my questions and goes above and beyond to get answers from the vendors. Not only did she create a beautiful design for our brand new home, she also managed the furniture set up right down to the curtain installations. She has tremendous energy and a true talent. Each day in our home, we appreciate and thank her for creating this wonderful space that is far more interesting and beautiful than what we could have imagined yet still a reflection of us as the homeowners. Myriem at MDESIGNS. Thank you is just not enough for the beautiful and the artistically work she has done to our huge house ( 7 bedrooms and 11 bath). Myriem and her team brought a tremendous amount of creativity and suggested ideas/layouts/colors that we never thought of or imagined before, and while it sometimes took us a while to get comfortable with these out-of-the-box ideas, we never regretted implementing any of them. It's very satisfying to walk into our house and feel like the space truly reflects our unique personalities, and not some design catalogue. All our friends/visitors immediately comment on the beauty and uniqueness of our interiors ask how it all came together and start considering hiring her as designer them selves.
We are busy professionals, and Myriem was incredibly patient with us to make decisions, find a time to meet, and even helped oversee furniture deliveries, paint jobs, handled tailoring, returns, and installations...we honestly couldn't do it on our own without her expertise, hard work, professionalism and kindness.
She is also just a fun, young, energetic person to work with. Dealing with budgets, contractor and delivery people is highly stressful, and they were always on top of it, always patient, always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was handled properly, within timelines and budgets.
