One of my friends took me to breakfast on Mothers Day 2018. We were aware that they were having a brunch at 10am, but since we wanted to order from the menu. We arrived at 9 am. The waitress Terry was nice and took our order right away; however 45 minutes later she came back and said she was not sure what happened to our order. She took the order for the 2nd time at 9 50 and we finally were served at 10 20. Not a good experience at all.

Like this place but it was under construction the last time I was there. Friendly staff very helpful. Right on the river close to The Landing. Update, just attended a conference there may 2018. Still under construction but they have made some great changes. The lobby area is open and inviting. Who plays the piano in the lobby and has someone to play from time to time. The Slick tile that was in front of the elevators and leads to the restaurant has been changed to a more textured tile with Earth Tone colors. The bleach smell is gone. The only real negative I have is that the restaurant service still need some work. The staff is friendly helpful and interested in the person not just the customer. Close to downtown, the Riverwalk and the landing.

I love that it is only minutes away from food and small shops. Its convenient for my work which is right downtown. There's tons to do. It's under construction currently so there's that. And it could be noisy at times. I could hear doors slamming and conversation going on down the hall to the elevator. But my room was very nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

Stayed here for 3 days and to be honest, this place has a long way to go before it's something I'd recommend. It's recently underwent a remodel so the furnishings are nice and the bed was super comfy. Those are the only pluses I can give the place.

Getting a cup of coffee at a hotel with room service and a restaurant shouldn't be this hard. It's a go downstairs in to the restaurant whilst wiping sleep from eyes affair. Not very flattering considering this hotel is not a cheap stay. Room service left plenty to be desired and again, coffee was an afterthought. Since when did the world do away with regular coffee cups and a carafe? If you pay $50 for room service, you deserve a carafe of coffee. This isn't rocket science!

The location is a plus, as it's right on the Riverwalk on the St James. It's a good stroll at night and well lit. Also, close to a few restaurants that most would enjoy.

My recommendation is to steer clear until they figure out a pretty hotel isn't the only thing a customer is looking for.

Beautiful, spacious hotel. Employees very professional and cheerful. Rooms clean and spacious. Beds comfortable to sleep on. Only drawback is: commode too close to wall in bathroom. Otherwise, would be exceptional converance.

Lovely staff. Great bar. Planning to stay here at my next visit. Only complaint is that breakfast was not included. But, otherwise loved it. Plus it's right on the river

Newly renovated property. Located directly on the St. John's River in downtown Jacksonville. Very friendly staff. Nice layout to the convention hall. Modern pool area. Rooms are clean with spacious bathrooms. I especially liked having the choice of self parking.

This is my first stay here and overall I am pleased. I am attending music festival so I am not in my room too often. From what I've been told it was recently remodeled, the outside looks a little older but once you enter the lobby it is definitely nicer and more up to date. The service has been friendly and quick. The bar is a nice place to hangout. Beds are very comfortable. It's also in a great location, right by the river and a 5 min drive to downtown.

We want to thank the Lexington Staff and
GM Kenneth, Antonia, Kelly, Barbara, Alex, Keith and MeMe for making our visit so pleasant. Our room was very comfortable and nice. My husband is a disabled veteran and we really appreciate providing us with the needed accommodations during our stay. We will definitely be coming back when we visit Jacksonville.

My wife and I were on vacation this week. Trying to save money on our trip, but with reviews from low budget places saying there were various bug sitings, we changed our minds quickly! So after searching and reading reviews, we came upon the Lexington Hotel. Reviews mostly had the same things being brought up: Construction was going on (mainly in the lobby) and the beds were comfy! Construction was a concern, but we arrived at the conclusion that it doesn't really matter because most of the construction is centered in the lobby area. Let's be honest, I am not there to stay in the lobby area. So if the rooms are bug free and you see consistent reviews that the beds are comfortable, then I am in. Another factor that played into us choosing the Lexington was the responses to the reviews online. The general manager that is a retired Navy Master Chief (I believe those were the proper credentials) was excellent at responding to concerns and comments from guests. A special thanks to this general manager that takes pride in their job and answering the reviews in such a professional manner. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping staff were kind as well. The pillows and mattress were the best we had ever slept on! We liked them so much that we had to find out the brands so we could get them for our home!!! Lexington is located in downtown Jacksonville , great location and has a nice view of the river, if you get a room facing this scenic view. Great stay and would plan on staying again on our next trip!!!

The rooms are big and nice. The bed is comfortable as are the pillows. Big TV.
The shower is roomy and the water pressure is good.
Breakfast was ok, a bit pricey, like you would expect for an in-hotel restaurant.
The hotel is besides the south bank river walk, which is very nice for a stroll at any time of day.
The drawbacks are: they're remodeling, so the ambiance is lacking. The parking is $10 for self parking and the parking spots are not that close from an entrance... They're also doing construction on the parking lot and that adds to the mess.

Once renovations are done it's going to be a beautiful hotel. I'm against the hotel making their patrons pay for parking after we have paid for a costly night stay. But I do give 5* to the hotel for beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable beds, extremely clean & feeling secured.

Not recommended. Construction in lobby and other parts of the property. BAD wifi, mostly not working. Very limited food selection from on site restaurant. No food shop, only vending machines. Rooms have been recently renovated and are nice, if poorly lit. Shower door doesn't seal, floods the bathroom floor. When we called the front desk for more towels, we were told that housekeeping was overwhelmed and that we could pick up towels at the front desk. Workers cutting tile on the pool deck at 9PM. Overall, a lot of little things add up to a bad experience.

The hotel was very nice. I was there for a week.
It's situated right along the Riverwalk, near several excellent restaurants, & not far from downtown. It is just across the river from the Jaguars' stadium. There is great access to I-95. And there is a metro stop right across the street.
When I was there they were still working on internal renovations, but it did not intrude on our stay in any way that I was aware of.
There was also a lot of construction oon the immediate area around the hotel, but nothing that caused issue.
It was a great stay!

Alex and Kimberly were extremely helpful and accommodating. The hotel is still undergoing renovations but the rooms have already completed their remodeling. The rooms are very clean, modern, and comfortable. Also plenty of amenities. I would definitely stay here again. Reasonable rates as well.

Found a deal on Groupon for the hotel at a great rate. We checked in for Valentine's day and were very impressed with the speedy process and the layout of the hotel. They are remodeling but there was no noise and everyone we came across was very pleasant. The room was clean and housekeeping was very attentive. I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel was nice, staff was very friendly!! Came in on valentines night to stay before going on a cruise. I called early on valentines morning and asked if I had flowers delivered could they place them in our room prior to our arrival. Mercedes at the front desk was AWESOME!! Did a great job making sure the flowers got placed before we came in. Thank you Lexington!

My stay was just okay. The room itself was nice. The bathroom could have been cleaner. The floor I was on had only one ice/vending area. My room was way on the other side so didn't like that. I could never reach the front desk or room service with calling from my room. I had to either call from my personal phone or go down myself. I could go on about some other things as well. The staff was nice so that's what makes the stay okay. I wouldn't stay there again though.

I’m completely outraged by this hotel I get a corporate discount through my job and this hotel was advertised as “recently renovated”which I thought would be okay however there was a thick cloud of dust throughout the hotel construction workers on the couch in my hallway to my room listening to loud music. I went to go out he side entryway and there was literally a leak I. The roof I’m assuming from the heavy rain and it was leaking all the drywall was being liquified and chunks of drywall were falling down and splashed on me as I was walking by there were no wet floor signs no warning at all and this was not being renovated it was a leaking roof problem and I have pictures of it as well I notified one of the hotel workers about it which they replied someone has already been contacted about the problem so I was thinking wow and they still didn’t block off the section and put at least wet floor signs just irresponsible I was shocked as it is a risk to guests not to mention my suede shoes I had to clean off in the room and launder my jeans because white liquid “paste” splattered all on me when I passed by.

After experiencing a bad situation with Kenneth and the morning crew. And after experiencing food going bad in refrigerator I want to give a very big shout out all the way from Atlanta to Jackson Florida to Mr. Will Daniels for making the rest of the stay so awesome. Just listening and having compassion is a key to much success. The valet guy's wonderful, Chris at the front desk thanks for listening. The young man who brought our order up excellent customer service skills. Lexington hotel your company has a jewel on staff. If every company had a Mr Daniels boy oh boy. Already planning on returning real soon. When you have a team such as this group nothing but a success will follow. Great job Mr. Will Daniels. God Bless . See you all soon.

I booked the room for my sister birthday and check in was ok...the woman who checked me in was very nice but I was super disappointed with the $100.00 deposit and the fact that we had to pay for parking...The lobby was nice and so was the room!I do feel like the room needed more lighting and I paid extra for a balcony and pool view but the view wasn't worth it...they did give us two complimentary breakfast cards but I paid for two more because it was four of us...the restaurant wasn't that wonderful and although the staff seemed friendly we waited over an hour for our food...once we said something the staff was nonchalant and I think its because they figured we didn't pay...I'm not sure but it was unacceptable!for the most part it was a good stay though!

The new rooms are really nice and very well thought out. I stayed here during Irma so I could be closer to work and the staff is amazing and really tried to best to accommodate everyone under crazy conditions. The conference center is beautiful. The decor is awesome! You can tell they are getting this place to the way they want it section by section and I can't wait to see it. We are Hilton Lifetime Diamond members...BUT when we stay downtown for events from this point forward... we will be staying here. I've read some of the other reviews and I think they just need a little time to pull some other things together. Giant renovations like this are not easy but they're doing a great job. Loved my stay here. Talon in the lounge and Josh from the front desk get special props for really being accommodating. Truly appreciated

The staff was exceptional from Mercedes at check-in, Braylon at Valet to the housekeeping. My family really enjoyed the various areas of the hotel. The location was so convenient to all the festivities. We plan to make Lexington Hotel our location for this annual event. Thanks to all the staff for making this a memorable visit for myself and my guests.

This hotel could be greatly improved with a few minor changes. First, many of the rooms are built around & overlook the main foyer when you come in the front door. In this area they have a pool table & Foosball table. I️ was on the 3rd floor trying to sleep and all I heard was the pool table, foosball table and noise from the people in the foyer. I think they need to determine their business model. Are they going after a higher clientele or college kids. If they aren’t targeting college kids, give the pool table and foosball table to a frat house where it belongs. Second, they need some noise reduction for the rooms facing the foyer. It’s loud. Maybe a glass partition? Third, get a vacuum and a janitor. The common area rugs are filthy. Also, the person that vacuums apparently hasn’t vacuum behind the chairs by the elevator in months. Forth, the parking lot is a mess and needs to be redone. That being said, my room was clean & nice and this hotel is “average” but I think has a lot of potential with a little bit of investment.

If there was such a thing as 0 stars that would be perfect, no how about negative stars. Long story short 5 rooms before we finally received a room; 2 of those rooms were occupied and I️ walked in on someone eating, The other rooms were king beds when my 1 reservation was clearly for 2 queens and confirmed when the gentleman checked me in. Oh not to mention the hotel had 3 reservations associated with the one confirmation number I️ had. The dining facility overcharged our meal, took cash and we have yet to be credited back, renovations taking place (from reviews this has been going on for over two years); asked for clean towels and was told no twice by two housekeepers; called the desk twice it’s 2hours later and we are still waiting; ants and the ac I️n the room is not working.
Thank God I️ was with the church because that was the only good thing about this!
This has been the worst experience ever, I’m praying Jacksonville has more to offer than this next time...

The conference rooms are roomier than expected. The bar and restaurant made the trip very convenient. The renovated rooms were nice. Be aware that there’s a lot of construction going on. There’s self parking, at a price. It’s more economical to valet. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

Room was beautiful and clean. Main lobby was very nice too. We stayed on 5th floor. Wine glasses on heaters the entire stay, house keepers rude and took up hallway with thier carts. Parking is a scam $12 for valade' parking. So each time you want to leave it's at a cost. To park yourself is limited with an added cost of $10 again can't move your car if your lucky enough to get a spot since there is so few. Most of parking is blocked off and restricted areas. You pay good price yet no continental breakfast or coffee. However at another cost you can order it from their dining room. Seems to me they are all about how deep they can dig into your pockets. I know we won't stay there again.

Do not staying here. Check in the staff was rude about the fact the computer system want not working properly. They couldn't find my reservation at first but, they finally did. We got up to the room and the AC kept turning on and off every three minutes or soPlus it wasn't cooling. We went downstairs request anther room and they told my husband that 'we need to deal with it and wait for an engineer to come to our room'.....and the front staff refused to give us another room. The 'engineer' came and it definitely was broken So we checked out. That was that.

I had the pleasure of hosting my 65th. Birthday Party here on Jan.6th 2018 and it was the best choice ever. Many out of town guests attended and was also very impressed with the Party Venue "topsider" and guest accommodations. The entire staff in Banquet Dept was exceptional and so helpful in planning and making this the most successful event. I am truly grateful for Mr. Daniels and Mr. Jenkins

My family was traveling home to Ohio from Disney when we were involved in an accident.
I cannot thank the Lexington enough for the hospitality and treatment we received when they heard of our situation. It was a very traumatic situation for our family and the generosity and kindness shown to us was incredible.
My faith in humanity has been restored.
We are forever grateful.
If you need a hotel in the Jacksonville area I would highly recommend The Lexington.
Class act! Clean rooms, excellent food and beautiful decor.

Stayed here for the Gate River Run and this hotel was completely unprepared. A lot of renovations going on right now in the hotel so it's a mess. And the area around the hotel is under heavy construction. It's doesn't paint a very inviting picture to stay in your city for out of town guests. I had several major issues with the hotel. One was the lack of communications with guests who were running the race as to whether or not there would be shuttles available to take runners over the bridge to the start of the race. One minute they were saying no, and the next they were saying yes. Shuttles did accommodate, but then there was lack of communication from the hotel as to exactly where runners would be picked up at the sports complex to be brought back to the hotel after the race was over. My husband and I wandered the complex for an hour looking for the shuttle bus. If anyone who's run this race knows the sports complex is huge and there were thousands of people there. Another issue I had was that housekeeping was cleaning rooms at 10:30 p.m.-11 p.m. When I complained, I was told that they were short staffed and behind schedule. That being said, there should be a cutoff time. You shouldn't disturb your guests late at night. I've never stayed at any hotel where staff was cleaning rooms at 11 o'clock at night. Also, housekeeping entered our room even with the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. They made the bed and straightened up the bathroom. Unacceptable! There's a sign on the door for a reason! Also, Jacksonville is rebuilding from damage from the hurricane so be prepared for lack of downtown activities and amenities. Where we were there was nothing in the way of restaurants, except for the Chart House, that is a short walk from the hotel. They were running the water taxi across the river, but from what I understand from co-workers who stayed in Jacksonville just a few weeks ago, The Landing is practically shut down due to the hurricane. So there's not much to do. Can't say I'll be back to Jacksonville any time soon, and if I do come back for the race in the future, I won't be staying at the Lexington.

This was the host hotel the Gate River run - whilst rooms are very nice. Check-in was a disaster ! We arrived at 8:30 pm (check-in is 3pn). They did not have our room ready and told us it would be an hr to wait. This is unacceptable at any time but on a race night - horrible. There were no apologies and the service staff were miserable - Epic Fail

I stayed here for my birthday last night. The hotel is being remodeled, I believe it will be very nice when completed. There are a few kinks to be worked out, such as at check in. The Computer system was down, but Mr. Rites made sure my check when ok. I was extremely too tired to have dinner in the restaurant, so I contacted room service. A lovely gentleman answered and took my order. I also told him it was my birthday. Shortly after, the same person arrived with my order. He decorated the plate which featured my dessert and made sure everything was presented very well. Great job, Theo from room service.

Looking from afar this hotel appeared to be lavishing style and didn't mind paying the price..
Conference rooms and space for events really caught my eye... With prices as such it seems to be renovation among alot areas... Until completion should be discounted stay...

Breakfast buffet was awful along with service you are providing with only 2 servers taking one order at a time.. These 2 servers have to take care of room service too...What happen to placing an order with the waitress and getting your food at one time? Bring toast without butter or jelly.. Cold slightly warm coffee..Food was not of temperature looking like something you reheated from previous day's... Not sure whether staffing or just bad management..If you want to charge those fees make sure your service shows for itself...

Coming from a back round in this industry for 30 plus years you need to reconsider and give guest what they are paying for quality...

My daughter and I stayed there for 2 days. The put a $100 holding fee on our card in addition to our stay. Surprise #1. This hotel was a mess. Loud banging, dust everywhere, and check in was extremely slow. There were 3 people behind the desk, but only one person doing the check-ins, even though there was a line forming. The food was blah (flat bread was hard as a rock, and for the love of pete don't get the key lime pie), dogs were running around in the restaurant area. Our room was like a mile from the elevators. The worst part was during check out. Surprise #2. They informed us there was a $10 fee for parking (again, during CHECKOUT). Something about because of parking downtown. The best part was the valet man and the guy at the front desk of the restaurant. Sorry I didn't get their names. And the room was clean. not sure I'll be back.

This was the "host hotel" for the Gate River Run this year. Not exactly sure why that changed from previous years but very disappointed that it did. When we arrived at 8:30 PM to check into our room we where told that our room was not ready, they were still cleaning and it would be about 45 minutes. After about an hour we called to see if our room was ready yet, told that they could put us in two separate rooms but still did not have our room ready. Staff was very rude and unapologetic that our reservation was more than 7 hours late. When you have to get up early for a race the next day you do not want to be getting your room at 10 PM. The beds were comfortable and the room was nice. When we arrived back to the hotel after the race, housekeeping was waiting in the halls for us to leave our room. Where were those people on Friday?

We booked pool room view for hotel for the weekend...arrived Friday 4/27 (my wife & I’s Anniversary) and had to wait in line at front desk to check in for 20-30 minutes. After getting our room key, we parked and went up to room. Keep in mind the exterior of the hotel is very dated and was not a higher end hotel as we expected and our room was not pool view but rather view of roof on back of building with construction going on nearby which was loud. Interior was nice as it had recently been updated, however upon entering our room, it was apparent it had not been vacuumed since last guests stayed in it so we called down to Front desk and were told someone would come vacuum but no one ever came. On Saturday as we were leaving for breakfast, we saw the housekeeper cleaning room next to us and figured she’d be cleaning our room and providing new towels, coffee, etc. We came back to our room hours later to find our room had not been touched so we called Front desk and they assured us a housekeeper would still come...went out to dinner and meet up with some friends and when we returned our room was still not cleaned. The girl working the front desk ended up being us up towels so we could shower. The rooms are not sound proof at all and we got little sleep because of loud guests all night/morning. In addition our bathroom door (sliding barn door style) is broken and very hard to close because bracket is coming off. Was never told upon checkin that there was a charge for self parking which is absolutely ridiculous since most all hotels offer free parking to their guests....especially when being charged double the normal rate which was obviously jacked way up for Welcome to Rockville...could have stayed in Hyatt or Doubletree for same price and would have received better quality hotel and better service! Thoroughly disappointed.
