Les Affaires is a full service event planning and catering company located in Los Angeles and been in business for over 20 years. We have trained chef's, certified event planners, and more than half of our staff are full time educators. We are a well rounded company that is seasoned in all types of events. We are the perfect choice from kid events, family events, corporate events to more adult celebrations. We offer a menu of international cuisines, drop off options, active stations, family style, full service buffet, plated service, and we are able to work with or without kitchen access. Our commitment is to provide great food under the strict guidelines of food safety. We take pride in providing quality service, great tasting food and beautiful presentation. As event planners our mission is to design and execute a breath taking event you will remember for a lifetime. No matter how large or small we do it all, now it's up to you to make the call. What’s your signature dish?
It depends on which cuisine we are focusing on. If it is American then Beef bourguignon with creamy mashed potatoes and sauteed garlic asparagus spears. If it is Caribbean than jerk chicken with rice n'peas and steamed cabbage. Mexican would be birria or chicken/pork enchiladas de verde with beans and rice. If Mediterranean One Pot or Baba Ghanoush. Cajun/creole people rave over our jambalaya and shrimp etoufee. Filipino pancit and adobo. Indian there are so many but perhaps curry chicken with Matar Dal over basmati rice. Our three cheese and three meat lasagna is definitely a client favorite in our Italian. Too many Asian cuisines to identify plus many many more.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We really want our client's to be more than satisfied so we work hard to merry the client's budget with their cuisine of choice. Each menu is tailored for each event.
What do you love most about your job?
I love watching my clients and their guests light up behind decor, entertainment, and/or food I executed. It's one of the best forms of a compliment I can receive for my efforts.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been doing event planning since I was in high school. Once people started offering money to do their events than I knew that this was no longer a favor or a hobby but the makings of a legitimate business. While obtaining my undergraduate degree in business I decided to use my own business concept as my business project. Voila, I had a full fledged business.
