I had Lindsay and her team for my wedding on June 2019 and I will never use anyone else. LDM is extremely talented and professional. My make up was exactly what we had discussed during my trial session but Lindsay was extremely open to the suggestions I had the day of. She made all of the bridesmaids and mothers feel absolutely beautiful while capturing their individuality and keeping with the theme of the wedding. LDM got me out of a serious jam for my wedding. I had 2 terrible trials with a Michelle Renee makeup artist, and then I got stood up at the trial for an independent makeup artist I found on Instagram. Luckily, Lindsay was there to help me out! She responded immediately to my request on her website. At that point it was less than two weeks from my wedding day. She scheduled a trial with Laura for that weekend, and It. Was. Amazing! Laura is fantastic. My other two trials made my pores look terrible! My skin looked like orange peel! But Laura gave me gorgeous skin and fabulous eye makeup. She listened and respected all of my requests, but knew when to gently push me in a better direction. Her trial makeup lasted me 10 hours on Gasparilla! And the makeup on the wedding day felt great and didn't budge! I never felt like I was wearing a mask; I just felt like I looked my best. My mom and mother-in-law also had their makeup done by Laura. I was referred to Lindsey by a "friend of a friend" and oh my am I glad I went with LDM. The process of getting the makeup artist was seamless. Lindsey truly made an effort to get to know me and the desired look I was going for. And most importantly, she executed it all perfectly. My trial was great, and it doesn't hurt the LDM gives you ALL the information you ever need to know about the process. With them being in the wedding industry and seeing it all the time, that was very appreciated as a naive clueless bride. I had the privilege of working with Lindsay M. for makeup and Lauren for hair, these girls are amazing!! I was pretty hesitant at first, because I am not one to wear a lot of makeup and I was planning the wedding from out of state. Lindsay went out of her way to accommodate a trial for me, and I instantly knew she was the perfect fit. She read my style almost immediately and truly did an amazing job. I have blue eyes, and the way that she did my makeup really made them pop - so many people commented on my eyes on the night of the wedding! My makeup stayed on all night and I never had to worry about it. Not only did she do a great job with the makeup, she was fun to work with and has this really chill, calming vibe throughout the chaos before a wedding.
Due to somewhat of a last minute change of plans (about a month before the wedding), I was in need of someone to style my hair for the wedding. LDM stepped right up and really came through! Lauren and I talked on the phone and via email, but we weren't able to do a trial with the short notice since I lived out of state. On the day of the wedding, she was also super fun to work with! I have fine hair and knew that the style I was going for would be difficult to accomplish, but she made it happen beyond my expectations. She did the same for both my mom and my sister! The ceremony was on a rooftop terrace and the wind was pretty serious - my hair stayed put through it all, and it didn't look "hard" or unnatural. Impressive for sure!! I made the right choice with this company! From the first contact with Lindsey Johnson to the trial with Lindsay Yarbrough. I was made feel like I was talking to friends, these girls are so sweet, professional and really want the best for you. They were accommodating to me changing my mind on lashes/airbrush/how many etc. The trial was fun but I basically changed everything about it for the wedding, I would recommend a trial to meet the artist and get to know what you want yourself. I was all set to get married at the Omni Amelia Island, until Hurricane Matthew forced us to evacuate the entire wedding to the Omni Orlando. Three days before the wedding I was left without anyone to do my hair and make-up. That's when Lindsay stepped in and found two amazing ladies to do six people's hair and make up. I wish there was more than 5 stars because that is how much I LOVED my experience. Lindsay Does Makeup was one of the BEST decisions I chose for my wedding on February 19, 2016!

When I was in need of a make up artist, Lindsay responded quickly with excited response - as professional as the owner and as personable as if we had already been friends for years. I knew through our emails of greeting and connecting for a trial that Lindsay would be a wonderful makeup artist. Let me tell you, our time with each other was such a pleasure and joy!

Lindsay Yarbrough is one of the most genuine, sweetest, down to earth person I've ever meet; especially, with a beautiful sense of humor. From the trial to wedding day, she made me feel so welcomed and comfortable to share my life adventure stories and trust her with my face. Each and every moment, Lindsay let me know what was going on as makeup was applied, advised nicely to "turn right a little...close your eyes...look left...put head up" and stopped to ask my opinion and feeling of the makeup. Also, wisely wrote down notes on the trial run to refer back on wedding day to make sure the makeup was placed properly, while stopping at different points to ask again my opinion and stamp of approval.

After getting up from the makeup chair on wedding day, I looked so beautiful and so on point! You know what though? What I did not know fully until looking back at the photos is how absolutely, glowingly, breathtakingly gorgeous I looked thanks to the work of Lindsay Does Makeup.

Lindsay is amazing! I did a lot of research on makeup specialists while planning my destination wedding, and I did two trial runs while I was in Florida. I let her know that my skin is really sensitive and she was able to use a special line of makeup that did not irritate my skin. The makeup was so light and comfortable that I felt like I could sleep in it. She was a gem on our wedding day, made everyone in my bridal party at ease, and they were all very happy with their makeup. It was important to me to find someone who could enhance but not overkill with makeup. I could not have been happier with Lindsay, everyone looked very glamorous but not made up with too much mascara, blush, and overpowering lipstick. Lindsay of Lindsay Does Makeup provided her fabulous makeup services for myself and my bridal party on my wedding day. I am very happy that I was able to visit her studio for a trial run, even though I was planning my wedding from out of town. I am not much of a makeup person on a day-to-day basis, and so I didn't have much of a vision or the lingo to describe what I liked. I knew that I did not want to look overly done-up, and part of what had drawn me to Lindsay was how natural the brides in her portfolio looked. During the trial Lindsay was helpful and patient and we settled on a wedding-day look that would enhance my features and look great in the wedding photographs, while also maintaining a more natural and understated look that was true to my personality.

On the wedding day, Lindsay arrived right on time and was a pleasure to have around as me and the bridal party were getting ready. She was incredibly personable and accommodating of the diversity of skin tones and personal styles of the party. She budgeted enough time that we never had to feel rushed and made sure we stayed on track with our timeline for the day.

I was able to meet with Lindsay and Nicole the week of the wedding for my trial. Nicole was my makeup artist and she did an amazing job. My mom, sister and sister in law also booked Nicole for the day of the wedding makeup. She did anything to make me comfortable and all of us looked so stunning. If you are a bride that wants to look flawless on your wedding day- stop reading this review and book Lindsay to guarantee said flawlessness. Ok, now that that is done, let’s talk about how amazing she is.

Lindsay came as a referral, and I was pretty much sold when I found out that her “assistant” is a pug. From first email exchange, she’s professional, organized, and fun. She’s been in those bridal shoes before and wants you to have the best stress-free and magical day.

I think a lot of brides try to be budget conscious (which is great) and therefore shortchange some very important items, like their face. Bride-to-be: This is your wedding day; a day to relax (as much as you can) with your ladies and feel princess and pampered. This is not the day to go gallivanting to the mall and have someone at a makeup counter do your makeup. This is not the day to have your cousin’s do your makeup because she watches a lot of youtube makeup videos. The only exception to this rule is if Lindsay is your cousin, and in that case you are really lucky.

Beforehand, Lindsay talks to you about the style of makeup you like (have those pins/pictures ready) and chats with you like you’ve been lifelong besties. I’ve been mall makeup-ed before- my husband’s reaction, “Woah! They really put on a lot of makeup.” When I had my makeup trial- my husband’s reaction, “You look like an angel” (swoon for the sweetness). That’s the difference, she has a way of giving you great coverage, enhancing your already gorgeousness, and making you feel confident.

I purchased her VIP Bride (which means she did my makeup, gave me a touch up before the ceremony, and another after the ceremony) She also then became a mini wedding day assistant with plenty of sweetness and understanding of the crazy that happens after you walk down the aisle (dress fluffs were no charge ).

Lindsay was absolutely amazing!!! She made me look and feel more beautiful on my wedding day that I ever have in my life! I feel as though she made me look glamorous, but without over-doing it . She also did make up for my mom and one of my bridesmaids. My mom was worried about make up getting stuck in her wrinkles and looking even older, but Lindsay did such a wonderful job and her products are so good that all of our make up last all night long! I cannot say enough good things about Lindsay! On top of being an AMAZING makeup artist, she is professional, friendly, funny, punctual and all around wonderful. I had a makeup artist cancel on me less than 4 weeks before my wedding (after being scheduled for 9 months). Although this was stressful, it was the best thing that could have happened. I am so happy we chose Lindsay for our bridal party makeup! She did an amazing job making everyone in the party of all ages looked age appropriate. The makeup was a perfect mix for a wedding, not to much but not too light. Our event was outside and she was able to apply makeup that held up to the conditions. I do recommend doing the extended package for touch ups especially if you are doing first look photos. Ours were outside in March around 4:00 and after running around with a little glistening a touch up ensured all members of my bridal entourage were picture perfect for walking down the aisle. Lindsay is AMAZING! From our trail back in January to the wedding in October I knew I had found the perfect person to do my makeup. The trail was at her condo which made for a very relaxing and personal experience. She was very detail orientated and even though our wedding wasn't until October on the day of the wedding she remembered exactly what she had done.
