I hate that healthier foods are so pricey to the point where nothing seems quite worth getting in comparison to its portion size. But this place definitely has good quality food. The woman at the counter was very friendly, seemed like she wasn't pressed about being at work & created my açaí bowl to perfection! I really liked the service here. My food came fast and they brought it to my car. I ordered a Kale Salad, I removed the serrano pepper thinking it would be to hot but now I know it would have added much needed flavor to the salad. This was my first visit to kale me crazy and I must say I'm very impressed from the customer service and knowledge of the staff to the amazing taste of my very first poke bowl. The way the food danced with my taste buds I can I will be back, yes danced you needed the visual of how how amazing my first experience was. One of my favorite places in town for quick and tasty food. Often times when you are low on time but haven't had lunch or dinner, you go for fast food because that is the only option available to you. Clean restaurant, polite staff, reasonably priced for the quality of food.For my diet, I avoid meat and sugar while also needing a good bit of protein, so I ordered the Breakfast Wrap. It was just ok.It had fresh ingredients and the actual bread wrap was better than most, but the fillings were honestly a bit bland. It seems like a sprinkling (more?) of salt in the avocado and maybe the additional acid of a few more tomatoes or maybe even lime juice might fix that. According to the nutritional info, the sodium content is pretty low, so I don't think the wrap would suffer health-wise for a smidge of salt.Anyway, I got it to-go and dipped it in hot sauce, which improved it quite a bit.I'm giving them four stars because I feel like I maybe just got a sub-par menu item due to wanting to honor my diet guidelines. I wanted a healthy breakfast before making a long car ride and this place met expectations.  It took about ten minutes to make an avocado toast when no one else was in the establishment, which seems kind of long for how simple it was, but luckily I built in just enough buffer time.  I'd suggest they do a soft boiled egg for the avo toast or add another ingredient like picked onions or goat cheese or something to bring some flavor dimension.  Customers can easily order something without ingredients. Very first time having Kale Me Crazy and of course my very first time at this location. Street parking, no parking lot parking nearby. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Wrap with a a Greek salad vis their online site. When I arrived I received my order instantly. I was greeted by a very nice woman. The inside was very clean! We just went to the Roswell/Holcomb Bridge location, and we LOVED it! We are vegan, and my husband and I had so much to choose from! If you are looking for a healthy bite to eat, you can't go wrong with Kale Me Crazy. For the calorie and macro conscious, the Ezekiel toast with almond butter and a drizzle of honey is your best bet. There is also an avocado toast with egg that looks appealing. The juices are all delicious. It is more than I want to pay, price wise, but the ingredients are high quality and you can't find them easily at other restaurants. After a long day of travel and work, I was looking for something light, tasty and gluten-free. I was fortunate to find Kale Me Crazy so close to my hotel, which was only a few miles from the Birmingham airport. I bought one of the smoothie bowls. It was good, not the best I've had but was what I needed at the time. Like other commenters have said, it seemed expensive given the size of the bowl.But it was definitely tasty and met my requirements. I would consider Kale Me Crazy a solid choice for a light lunch or dinner, quick bowl or a smoothie to tide me over. If you are looking for a filling meal, this is not the place. We stopped in here yesterday after walking 5+ miles around around the Cumberland walking trails and through Paces Mill and back to the mall! The recovery shake was right on time! It has cherries, banana, coconut yogurt, almond milk, cashews, & vegan protein. There's a little finely grated coconut on top. I'm not a coconut flake fan but this was so finely grated I didn't mind it and actually enjoyed it. I was a little concerned w/ the ingredients but knew I needed recovery help after that long walk! It was just what I needed. The flavors paired well together and indeed helped me recover. I would definitely order this again. I'm not sure if she was the manager or owner but the woman who made my smoothie took the extra and gave it to others in the line to sample. They all shook their heads in agreement and/or verbally expressed that they liked it. I thought that was cool if her but also provided a sample to those waiting of what they may like on that, or a future visit. Good marketing!I've had avocado toast before but this was especially yummy and just right. I've had simple avocado toast and then some where the people just seem to go overboard trying to put way too much on the toast. This was just right to me. The mashed avocado is mixed w/ Dijon mustard, placed on Ezekiel bread, & topped w/ sliced organic boiled eggs and a scallion mix. What a delight! The Dijon mustard is just right and not overpowering at all. I didn't really taste it except to note that the avocado was well blended and seasoned. The toast was lightly sprinkled w/ salt which was perfecto!I can't wait to return. The restaurant was clean, as was the bathroom. They also have cold water in a dispenser as you walk in, which was welcome after being out in the heat. I appreciated the recycling bin inside as well as I got to toss my can in I had from my walk instead of taking it home.The staff were nice and friendly. The cashier was in training and the manager or owner apologized but we were cool. We've all been in training before and we had nowhere to rush to. It was also nice to see how she interacted with the cashier as she was supportive and patient with her and didn't throw her under the bus or act rude about it. This was my first visit; and I didn't know what to expect. I have several food allergies, which make it a difficult task to dine  out. I knew that I wanted something clean,fresh,and appetizing. Someone reccomended this place, to my husband,and he thought that it couldn't hurt to try it. Since it was a beautiful day to be out,we choose the Cameron Village location . After walking around,we found it tucked at the end of some quaint shops. It was a really small space; I'm glad that we came after lunch,when it wasn't busy.The board on the wall showed all of the smoothies, raw juice shots, salads, bowels, wraps,ext... I was not sure what to choose,so I asked for help. Due to my allergies,I had to be careful. I decided to get the acai bowel. I didn't know what that even was,but I was open to trying it. While the seasons are in transition, I always try to bulk up on the healthy goodie-ness to get ahead of any sickness. I didn't know there was one in this area since it is tucked away at the bottom of another building. I've frequented this location a few times and the staff is always attentive. They also provide solid recommendations when I ask as well. If they are busy, it may take a minute to get your meal as sometimes the cashier is also help making smoothies the times I have been. if you're looking for the best vegan/vegetarian food in the wilmington area, look no further! not only is the food fresh, but so are the employees. i always walk out of kale me crazy with a delicious juice and a smile on my face! my favorite is the acai bowl because i love a good blend and theirs is the best in the city, possible state, maybe even country! kmc is also the only restaurant i follow on instagram because their photos are top quality. go ahead and give the a follow while you are drinking your watermelon juice or taking a bite into that avocado toast! if i could give 6 stars i would!
