It was my birthday dinner last night, and my dear sweet mother Jayne took us to Harvest Seasonal in North Wales. The food was fresh and expertly prepared-- from the spiced edamame to the vegan "chik'n" curry to my pan-seared Chilean sea bass-- which was cooked perfectly. The only hiccup was, we ate a tad hangry. It took about 35 to 40 minutes for the edamame-- ordered immediately because we were extra peckish-- to come out. They were very busy, and we've all worked in restaurants, but that was... a bit beyond reasonable? Then, another 30 minutes for our entrees. Grumbling and rumbling definitely occurred. However, our server Morgan (and especially the manager) were aware of the delays (maybe they heard the rumble/grumbles?), and did what they could to alleviate the situation in a professional and thoughtful manner. A cocktail (the happy-making Bourbon Fig concoction) was comped, as were the sinful, but sub-400 calorie desserts. Get yourself that chocolate mousse with a sedimentary layer of caramel, and you will depart on a cloud of bliss, even if the kitchen is a little behind! Harvest is a farm-to-table eatery that serves up a huge selection of rotating fare. I went for lunch and tried the Harvest flatbread (free thanks to a Yelp check in) and the bison burger. The flatbread was simple: just herbs and a bit of cheese and olive oil on thin bread. Nothing to write home about, but a fun way to start the meal. They feature other options and the others in my party enjoyed their fig and goat cheese flatbread. My burger was pretty good. Popped into this place since I am Vegetarian. Thought it might have something for me on the menu not realizing 75% of the menu is vegetarian friendly! I ordered the mushroom Cheesesteak which was outrageous. We started with the cauliflower wings which were delicious as well. Tina is an awesome bartender with an amazing personality! Trying to find a place central to family in the Lancaster area that is not fast food, but everyone will eat at, is tough. We chose Harvest .We made a reservation. The beau walked in and told them who we are. I was trying to take pictures of the interior for Yelp (I do it for service of other Yelpers) and the manager called me out. Then asked where we were from and said we were tourists. Ok, I did travel to Lancaster, but I'm not a "tourist" there's not much to tour.They initially tried to seat us in a giant booth for six people, but we had some older people, left handed people, and I'm a bigger dude so it just did not work. It was awkward and uncomfortable. While the host just watched us struggle at the table, eventually just set down some menus and left us. I thought that was weird, but when it didn't work, we asked for a table, kind of got some attitude but was eventually seated at another table. (The restaurant was HUGE and practically empty except maybe 5 other tables.) Once we were seated, it was great. Our server was an all-star, 100% pro. She was friendly, put up with the older relatives, and was very attentive. The food was good. Food was amazing! Had the Korean BBQ Chicken Lettuce Wraps as a starter, then moved on to chicken and wild rice soup with a side of gluten free max and cheese! Sooooo many viable options for someone who is gluten free - even the burgers and flatbreads have an option for it. Our server was Amber, who was outstanding by the way. Another good holiday meal with my Family. Mom takes us out before Christmas every year. Thank you Mom! My honey had the Sea Scallops which he scarfed down. I had the Frenched Chicken which I scarfed down. LOL are you seeing a theme here....The food is always consistently good (just be reminded as always you are paying full price for their smaller portion size). However, I believe they really shine on the quality of the food so bigger is not always better.  What really put it over the edge though was the service. The GM RJ came over to check on us (twice!). Way to go RJ you made my Mom very happy! Our server Dana was right on point, timely, friendly, efficient (on a very busy night) and overall she just did a great job. We took my parents to celebrate Mom's 90th birthday and their 71st anniversary and Harvest did not disappoint. We had excellent service from Brett who comped all 4 of our desserts and the General Manager visited our table to congratulate them. We were very happy with our meals, 2 ordered from the brunch menu, 2 from the regular menu. My sea bass was done to perfection! I have been to this location numerous times and am never disappointed. Good food, good service. Only complaint: charged $12 for chili appetizer when meni6said $7. Pointed this out to server, who said "you ordered a bowl". I said, what? She said appetizer is a cup, bowl is $12. Nowhere is this stated on menu. When I ordered, I said I'd start with a bowl of chili. Fix the menu or tell the customer that there are two serving sizes. Low lying fruit. The menu does not list a bowl of chili or a cup. It only shows a chili appetizer for $7. Should not have been charged $12 if it's not in the menu and the server doesn't point it out at time of order. Server should have corrected the bill. But did not. Not a good practice. Excellent place for a little more upscale lunch. Great place for a friends lunch or family dinner. If you have a vegan or vegetarian to consider hands down this is the most flexible restaurant in Lancaster for meat/non-meat joint diners.

This is not my first time at a Harvest Restaurant, but it was for my friends. The restaurant is beautiful, food selection, worked for everyone. We were not disappointed with anything, and that includes the wine Nate suggested - red or white. We moved to the bar for an after dinner drink. The bar staff were polite, friendly, and professional. This is my second time here as my first visit was a little bit of a disaster (see previous review). However, Harvest wanted to make it right so I thought I'd give them another try.   I mean,  everyone had their bad days,  right?! My server was awesome... She had a great personality and was attentive.  I ordered the hummus appetizer and spicy noodle bowl.  All  I can say is WOW. They really hit it out of the park with this one.  The hummus was some of the best I've had and I loved the giant carrot and cucumber slices along with the warm pita triangles.  Yum.   Then came my entree--the spicy noodle bowl. It had the perfect amount of spice and the giant shrimp were cooked perfectly.   And all of the ingredients were fresh.  Easily my new favorite food item!  I got dessert to go so I can't comment on that right now, but I anticipate greatness :)   Thanks again Harvest for making it up to me!! So I've been back a few times since we initially came here, and bringing more friends and family to try. Food was delicious each time, but I really wanted to commend the restaurant after they comped my meal after my wife tagged us in her instagram feed. She had just got the all clear on her cancer treatments and we were celebrating what was a very emotional time for us.
