This is a wonderful facility with a challenging array of classes taught by very helpful, talented and accomplished instructors. Jenn, Dana, Susan and all the other instructors are eager to help you begin to develop or advance your skills. I walk out of class with a smile on my face and far better posture. This is great stuff. I have been taking Hillary's barre classes and I think she is truly amazing. She is a very challenging teacher. Her classes are never the same and she makes you really want to work hard. She is very motivating and pushes you with positive reinforcement. Thank you

I was given a pass for a free Pilates class so I thought I would give it a try. I started coming 2 times a week and felt so great that in started coming more. Now I come as many times a week that I can. Joining fitness on the water is one of the best things that I have done for myself. I feel physically stronger and mentally more relaxed. Where to begin.... this place has it all! Challenging, FUN workouts with the best instructors. I look forward to coming (3-4 times a week! ), and I always leave in a better mood. I've been doing Pilates with Dana and Jenn for 5 years, and have never felt better. The barre classes are killer too. The studio is clean, well decorated and just a nice space to be in - mentally and physically :) looking forward to more classes at new Westbrook (expanding) studio! More...

My visit to Westbrook CT was intended to relax & sightsee while my husband was working but then I found Fitness On The Water & I don't want to go back home. What a gem! Jenn taught my first Pilates class EVER, she is a great teacher, she is motivating & detailed so you are in good form and getting the best Pilates workout, and she wants you to learn the proper technique. I recommend all Pilates 1st timers to go for it with Jenn. Then I took Bare Bands with Dana & I had so much fun, although it challenged me, her energy keeps you going. Living 15 minutes from NYC I can say that this studio is one of kinD...AWESOMENESS at its best!!! More...

Upon retiring from an extremely challenging career, I finally decided to take an early retirement and found Fitness on the Water on day 2 of my retirement. The facility is beautiful and the staff and instructors are fabulous.

I've enjoyed each class I have taken. They have all been physically and sometimes mentally challenging, but after just 2 months, I have enjoyed an improvement in my body, mind and soul.

The Pilates classes from Jenn & Kristine have been the highlight. I have taken more classes with Jenn and she is so detailed oriented and her concern is that you get the best and safest workout possible for each individual.

The Tabata HIIT class with Donna gives you such a great cardio workout and she makes the class a "kick butt" and fun hour! Dana's Booty Bands class gets you in shape and her energy is unmatched. And Brenda is always so friendly and helpful at the desk!

If you're looking for a place to feel welcomed, feel encouraged and see results, then look no further than FOTW!

So much thought and energy put into every class! All of the instructors are extremely knowledgeable, personable, funny, energetic and enthusiastic. They make each work-out so enjoyable and the time always flies by. The cues are always on point and clearly describe the moves/how to do them, the critiques very helpful to developing proper, safe form. The scented cool towels and flavored water at the end of each class always make me feel like I'm pampering myself and working out at the same time! For several weeks I've been taking classes in an effort to strengthen my body after a cycling accident. Jenn, Dana and Kristine each teach pilates with precise cues to assure that each person is performing exercises accurately. The attention to detail is extraordinary, which is important in preventing common "gym injuries."

I've also taken Barre classes with Susan and Dana, as well as Rebounder classes with Dana and Kristine. Their different styles are refreshing and each one strives to be motivating and keep classes fun.

Overall, the studio is a warm, friendly place to be. Fitness on the Water in Westbrook, which offers so many different types of classes with outstanding professional instructors, is definitely worth checking out!

I am so happy to have joined Fitness on the Water. The facilities are gorgeous and all the instructors are all so talented and fun. The staff all provide excellent customer service and the classes are all so unique, challenging and different. Special shout outs to such amazing instructors including Jen for providing challenging and fun Pilates classes, Susan for making indoor surfing so amazing and groovy, Dana for kicking my butt in Barefoot Bands and Kristin for making me laugh while working every part of my body and showing me tiny tweaks that provide fantastic results. I am happy to have found such an awesome group of instructors (and beyond peaceful environment) to focus on my own health and wellness. The care and attention I receive during every session has me successfully managing chronic back pain. I've not felt better in years. No judgement or intimidation - just encouragement to move forward at my own pace. Pilates has changed my view of exercising from something I have to do to something I love to do. Just love Fitness on the Water. I'm an older( mature) gal who started at the "old" location a year ago, lost my momentum.. . now at the " new" location and just love the place! The decor is lovely and friendly staff. A big shout out to Donna Scott who welcomed me back and got me motivated to get off the sofa and get active. I especially love her Body Sculpt and Burn- she works us!!! And her Spin class is a great too! To round it out- I have done Barefoot Bands, Cardio Fusion and love the Sunday morning Yoga, too. THANKS Donna Scott for encouraging me and welcoming into this great group of healthy, active people!!!! More...

I originally tried out Prive Swiss for a ‘free trial day’ and that 30 minute cardio barre kicked my derriere! I immediately signed up for a month-long trial and was hooked! The classes I took with Joanne and Dana were inspiring and invigorating with adaptations for any fitness or body to get a full workout. Easily my favorite exercise classes yet, they work me the hardest while making it fun, plus there’s a noticeable difference in my biceps and bum from just a month here! I would be amiss if I didn’t also mention how absolutely luxurious this spot is! Treats include infused water and cool towels available for freshening up after your workout.
10/10 would recommend Prive Swiss to everyone!

I love this place! Fitness on the Water moved to the Water's Edge retail shoppes (1587 Boston Post Road) and increased the number of apparatus stations and also has more classes now. I started as a beginner and there's a lot of hands-on correction for form and posture. It's a feel-good place. I always come away feeling like I got a great workout and a mind-body tune-up. More...

Just want to say thanks Athena after working out in Pilates and Barre classes I was able to ski for first time after my ACL surgery with no problem! The attention to my core and hip muscles as well as my knee was perfect preparation. I love that you always give such specific cues to allow clients to get a fantastic, hard core, yet safe workout. This is the best all-in-one studio on the Shoreline from Branford to Old Saybrook for Pilates mat and reformer, Yoga, Zumba, Boot Camp and Dance hip hop, hands down the best. The owner is great, the instructors are great and the classes are exactly what I am looking for. Been a member for over 7 years.
