The trainers at Dogma are the best I've ever had the opportunity to work with. They work you hard, focus on your specific needs and make it fun all at the same time. I've regularly attended the training sessions for the past three years and credit the Dogma trainers with building my strength & endurance allowing me to continue enjoying my favorite sports; snowboarding and kite-boarding. If you are looking for cycling training, look no further!!!! Josiah Middaugh and Brendan Finneran are great coaches and motivators. They are teaching cycling fitness but more importantly skills that help you excel as a cyclist. I have seen my winter long indoor training program take legs outside and can't wait to see how the season progresses... More...

Heard great things about this place. However to the dogma "team" member on the 2015 giant propel SL 1 that cut me and another motorist off on highway 6 today in the shop and hop round about; you do not get to pass cars and cut people off because you're on a bike. You are to follow all rules of the road when operating a bicycle on public roads. I respect cyclists and I expect to get the same in return. Also, you offered to stop and chat about it if I pulled over, I did and you rode away and didn't even stop to chat? That's because you know you were wrong but you're an entitled vail cyclist who thinks they can do whatever they want so you tucked tail and hit the road. You guys should think twice about who represents you around the valley. More...

I've tried several gyms in the valley, yet always find myself coming back to Dogma. The staff and trainers are top notch, knowledgeable, and make you feel like a true member of the gym. Personally I've seen proven results from my time working out at Dogma and they have always helped me become a stronger athlete and achieve my goals. More...

Great gym, great atmosphere, and great people. Smaller workout area, but has all the essential equipment to get a solid workout in, cardio, or any other type of exercise you are looking for. About the Dogma personal: very hard working, friendly, and knowledgeable people who make this gym what it is. An added bonus, the gym looks out to a beautiful river and abundance of trees that make your workout that much more enjoyable. Definitely missing this place all the way from California, I can't seem to find any gym quite like it. More...

Dogma Athletica is an exceptional gym with the best trainers in the Vail valley. I've been a member for 8 years and am stronger than I've ever been thanks to the expert guidance of my trainer, Bryan. It is really a team atmosphere at Dogma. The trainers care about every member's experience and success no matter your age, fitness level or goals. Great gym, vibe, staff. More...

This is the perfect place to come and connect with conscious community around fitness as well as yoga. The facility is so clean, the staff is present and kind, and the yoga studio is DELICIOUS! I consider myself a bit of a 'yoga snob' and travel a lot, experiencing different teachers. I must say that the options for yoga teachers and styles is pretty fantastic!Do yourself a favor and pop on in when you are in Vail, you will be so glad you did! More...

During the cold, dark days of winter i spend two nights a week in the Compu trainer room riding and being coached by Rod. The machines are excellent, the coaching is second to none . Rod really does pay attention to ones body position and movement, cadence, power and overall fluidity on the bike, not to mentioned ensuring we get one heck of a workout. More...

I hated working out before I joined Dogma Athletica and dreaded going to the gym. Once I started at Dogma last October, I was quickly able to get back to my high school weight, improve my immune system and start looking forward to the daily classes at Dogma. Now I get upset if I have to miss one (it ruins my whole day). Getting fit at Dogma has enabled me to maintain a very healthy pregnancy and the trainers are great at modifying exercises to accommodate each stage in my pregnancy. I highly recommend Dogma Athletica to anyone who prefers a less-crowded gym experience with more personal attention and top-of-the-line equipment More...

Dogma Athletica is a one-of-a-kind athletic club.  The people are fantastic.  Rod Connolly, the owner, is very knowledgeable about bike racing, diet, and fitness.  He helps clients put those three elements together to reach whatever goals they are trying to reach...whether it be bike racing or just losing a few pounds or anything in between.  The other trainers are equally trained in their fields, such as yoga, pilates, weight training, overall fitness, etc.  And there is even a spa to enhance the overall experience. Before moving from Ohio to Arizona.  I spent lots of time at a high-end athletic clubs - typically 5-7 times a week.  My daily routine was a spinning class paired with a personal trainer session.  Now I only visit gyms when traveling to a cold climate.  Over the years, I've been to dozens of gyms and hundreds of spinning and yoga classes.Dogma ranks in the top 1% among my key measures which are cleanliness, staff and class quality. I want to see that a staff member is assigned to wipe down equipment throughout the day (it's stunning how many 'premium' gyms don't do this...) and at Dogma it's routine - check mark.  As for staff, a friend works directly with Rod so I had met him before (outside of Dogma) and was impressed.  Everyone else I've met since then at Dogma has been equally friendly and professional, but relaxed.  Finally, the the spinning classes are well run, with good music and well-maintained bikes. I am no gym junkie...this is the first I've ever joined, so my perspective is possibly skewed.I like this gym because it's not full of weigh lifting grunting guys wearing tank tops and dropping weights.  In fact, there's a lot of times when I'm the only one there.  The people are friendly and will help you learn how to use different machines.  Some memberships can also pair you with a personal trainer. My only reason for not giving five stars is the yoga schedule.  I'm not an early riser, but I also can't get out of work in time to make to the 5:30 classes.  Dogma people if you read this...add a 7:00pm class!
