It's definitely refreshing to have a gem like this located in South Austin. The location is amazing being at Westgate and William Cannon and you just can't overstate how cool it is having something exotic like a Cuban restaurant so close. Fried Yucca is excellent. Meat empanadillas are good. Ceviche is super! Stuffed tostones, nothing to write home about.I'm sure there's other stuff I haven't tried but in general, I wasn't that impressed.

I love coming here! Their food is amazing, I highly recommend the Cuban sandwich. It's nothing I've ever had before and it was amazing. The service isn't great though... I enjoyed the food, great friend plantains. I expected more of a bread salad from the pan con tomate, but it was just chunks of bread with tomato and avocado, meh.Our drinks were very good.

What a great, out of the way restaurant!   We had the chicken wings, El Cubano sandwich, Media Noche, Mariquitas, and margaritas.  Everything was perfectly prepared and very tasty.  Plus, Jasmin did a great job helping us and personally made our margaritas!  I have had several El Cubanos in Miami and this one was almost as good!  Plus, the margaritas were really well done!  If you like Cuban food you have to try Cuba512! Awesome kitchen and very pleasant atmosphere. My pork dish was off the chart tasty. My girlfriend thought the garlic shrimp had too much garlic (nevermind it's in the title) I don't know there is such a thing. The plates are generous and an excellent value. My husband and a crew of my best friends took me here for my birthday. It was my first actual Cuban restaurant experience. Had my first Fried Plantains,.. I was delighted. The food was delicious the drinks were very well executed. My only critique would be that the pork was a bit fatty , but I have limited experience with Cuban food and I do know pork is by nature a bit more fatty than other meats, the nature of the beast, literally.
