We're in Katy during specific times: dance competitions or traveling through. Â Today was a dance competition and this place was literally down the road, so as we passed I decided that I wanted falafel and I wanted it from Alibabba Cuisine. The place was empty as we walked in at around 8:30 pm. I ordered the Veggies Plate with tabouli, falafel, and 2 sauces (I chose hummus and Babba-Ghanoush, the girls ordered chicken tenders and fries, my hubby ordered the beef shawarma, and chicken empanadas. The falafel hit the spot, and the Babba-Ghanoush is literally the best I've had. So. Good. I was not a fan of the tabouli, but that was a personal preference. My husband said, "the beef shawarma is really frickin awesome, the chicken empanadas are unique and very tasty, and the cheese sticks are really good" so I think that's a win. Â And the chicken/fries were satisfactory for the picky eating children. Based on food alone, this place should get 5 stars; however, the service was rather meh. We asked for opinions and the teenage girl at the register was just about useless. There was another employee, a teenage boy, who offered suggestions when asked, but they were both pretty useless and should work a little harder for their minimum wage. They also had a friend come in and spent a good amount of time talking loudly in the corner with him. Perhaps an adult who is invested in the business should work the counter at night. Stopped in for lunch and tried the gyro combo. The gyro was fantastic...sauce was tasty and the lettuce was fresh. The meat had great flavor. I chose the hummus over Fries or salad for the side. Alibaba on Fry near Seven Lakes HS--My son and I went today for lunch. The hummus and baba ganoush (not sure of that spelling) was smooth and very tasty. My first time here today .. Got the chicken shawarma with a small tabule salad.. The salad was in a tiny container but the chicken Shawarma was good sized. We loved this place. Don't be fooled by the name. This is more than Arabian food. I am Venezuelan and really enjoyed the chicken soup and the "asado negro", with a very traditional taste that brought memories back. Can't wait to go again!!!

The owners are such nice people! I have eaten here with my family seven or eight times.. The food is excellent. We usually get the #1, #2, and #3, . . Tonight we tried the slow cooked beef stew and it was awesome.. My wife’s favorite is the Lebanese style rice with ground beef and almonds in it.. It’s awesome. My favorite is the Kibbeh and their grilled chicken skewers.. They marinate them in the morning and they are really tender.. (I asked the owner how they get the meat so tender..) My husband and I shared the plate combo 3 and he a gyro. Gyro was good: good amount of meat and nice flavor. Combo 3 hummus was good and taste fresh. I came here too weeks ago and forgot to post until now. My parents met the owner of the restaurant- who is lovely by the way, she is very kind and responsive, so I'm sure if you were to complain about anything she would be really easy to talk to! Okay, actual food: I got the lentil soup, an Armenia salad, and two falafels. Everything I ordered was fabulous. The soup tastes just like soup my mom made at home, and I was basically in one of those moments where all you care about is that specific dish because you are mentally absorbed in it and the nostalgia it gives you. It was creamy and didn't feel heavy, but great for vegans like me in terms of protein. Also, it was a great size for only around three bucks! It was like a bowl and I'd envisioned a cup for that price. The salad was nothing groundbreaking, just lettuce and cucumber I think, with some diced tomato- BUT the Mediterranean spices (mint, some other spice that I cannot remember) and the lemon juice based dressing had me happy. And the falafel- first of all, I wasn't going to orde falafel, but the kind owner sent them to me to taste when he found out I was vegan. Ahhhhh thank you thank you thank you!!! They weren't as fried as they normally are, so they weren't coated in grease, which is something I hate when it comes to falafel. In my opinion, the less greasy the better! So these were fantastic. They were good for protein also, but tasted really light as well since they weren't drowning in fat. They were served with a sauce that I can only describe as ketchup mixed with sriracha, I hope you all understand. I also shared a small serving of pita with my parents, but it wasn't pictured. The pita is good, thin and warm (best eaten warm, it stiffens up when cold). It is in deep Katy, as in a long way down Fry Road, which added to traffic to get to Katy might be a turn off for you guys in Greater Houston,m or central Houston, but it is definitely worth the drive if you want pretty fast yet healthy and home cooked Mediterranean food. Hubby was hesitant to try this place but he's a giver so here we go. Beef kebab and chicken kebab both very good and came on a very nice pita. Yum! Also tried the dips and they were great, too. Spent my lunchtime here the last two days, and happy I did so! Â On Wednesday, I had the chicken shawarma wrap and lentil soup, and on Thursday, had the kabob combo. Â What I enjoyed most about both meals was that the meat was tender, well-seasoned. Â I thought the kabob plate was a little pricey, but to be honest, I've paid more for less downtown and been far less satisfied. Â Where the place excells, is in service. Â The folks working there go out of their way to make sure you're satisfied with your meal, and have what you need to do so. Â Most places where you order at the counter and get your own silverware, drinks, etc., you never see anyone again. Â Not the case here, and very welcome! So finally had a chance to stop in and sample this place. Â I had heard good things already so was pretty excited. Â Ordered a gyro wrap, a chicken skewer and a couple of beef skewers. All amazing!!!! Â I ordered it all to go and was offered (and completely devoured) some flat bread and their homemade hummus while I waited....was delicious!!! Â Staff was great...very friendly which I have come to realize is not a normal thing in our society anymore. So many places today expect you to be honored that they're taking their time to provide you a service. Ugh. Â But not here...warm and inviting staff and a nice place to eat if you have the time to sit and stay a while. Again...the food was great, but I really enjoyed the customer service, even if I was only there for a short time to wait for my order, that alone says a lot about a place and the owner....top that with amazing food and it's hard to beat!
