At Tristan Gibson Dog Training, we believe great dogs aren’t created by memorizing commands—they’re built through Structure, Boundaries, Routine, and Accountability. Obedience is an essential part of the process, but it’s only one piece of building a calm, confident, and reliable companion.

We have been working with Tristan for a few weeks and although our pup still has a long way to go he is a completely new dog. Tristan has been wonderful to work with, he is very patient and understanding and truly cares about the success of the training. It was a big worry of mine that our dog would be untrainable but Tristan has proven that all it takes is lots of attention and care and any dog can be trained to be better! More...

Working with Tristan was great! On the first day we already had results with our dog Pancho. Would recommend working with Tristan to anyone!

Dog Training
Gosh where do I start, I came to know Tristan Gibson by bark.com which has been a blessing. He is probably one of the nicest, kindest, sincere, endearing people I’ve had the joy and pleasure of meeting. I believe my Bubba Ray Barkley, who is a mini golden doodle with most definitely fear aggression and probably a list of other things as well was Tristan‘s or is Tristan‘s Sixth client. For a young man who is starting out he is quite knowledgeable and truly cares about his client and their parent or pet Mom. My little guy came from a situation where the environment and surroundings were deplorable to say the least, and being breed by individuals who have no business owning or breeding anything. I’m a lot. Bubba’s a lot too. Tristan has been nothing but great to us. He’s a selfless individual who truly just cares about people and animals. Patience is something I’ve always lacked. Tristan is a saint with lots of patience. If ever you question or doubt whether or not he would be the right fit I can say with confidence that you’d be wrong. Some people are meant to do what they do, and this is what he was made for! I could go on. Anyone is welcome to reach out and I would be more than willing to share more of our personal story. P.S. His assistant was a gem too! I can’t wait to see where we are at the end of our 6th session from where we are today. Tristan is a rare one! I’m so grateful me and bubba found him. More...
What do you love most about your job?
Being able to see dogs start to make their own decisions.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As I neared the end of Paramedic School, I adopted a dog with unforscene reactivity. As I worked and continue to work through his reactivity alongside him, I fell in love with dog training. I made the jump, and dropped out of Paramedic School to pursue dog training as a full time career. It's rewarding to see dogs make their own breakthroughs leading up to a very successful and happy life.
Why should our clients choose you?
As a dad of a reactive dog I understand the stress. It's not fun having to backup or find an escape route from a encounter that can lead to be a hindrance to a peaceful walk and deadly at the worst. I have helped my dog through reactivity towards traveling cars, people on bicycles, dogs, and pedestrians passing nearby to us. I believe I can help you achieve the same.

Puppy Obedience Program
Give your puppy the foundation they need before bad habits take root. This 4-week program covers starter obedience commands, house manners, socialization basics, and early impulse control — all taught through private, hands-on lessons tailored to your puppy's age and temperament. Perfect for puppies 8 weeks to 9 months who need structure early, before issues like jumping, nipping, or leash pulling become harder to unwind. Every program starts with a free in-person consultation so we can build a plan around your specific puppy and household.
Intermediate Obedience Program
Duration: 8 Weeks | Starting at: $1,800
This program teaches all core obedience commands in your dog's in-home environment, building the reliable foundation needed before moving on to advanced training. Your dog learns to respond consistently around the distractions of daily life at home — not just in a quiet training space — so commands actually hold up in real life. This program is also the required first step toward our Advanced On-Leash and Advanced Off-Leash Freedom programs, preparing your dog with the discipline and command reliability needed to succeed at that next level. Start your program tomorrow and you'll automatically be upgraded to VIP status — a $250 value — at no extra cost.
Advanced On-Leash Obedience
10 Weeks Long | Starting Price $2,200
For dogs who've successfully completed the Intermediate Obedience Program and are ready for rock-solid reliability on leash in real-world environments. This program sharpens command reliability around heavy distractions — other dogs, people, traffic, and public spaces — so your leash walks become calm and controlled instead of a battle.
Advanced Obedience with Off-Leash Freedom
12 Weeks | Starting at: $2,400
The top tier of our obedience programs, built for dogs who've proven reliability on leash and are ready to earn true off-leash freedom. This program layers in distance, duration, and distraction-proofing so your dog listens without a leash attached — at the park, in the yard, or anywhere life takes you. Freedom is earned, not given automatically.
Behavioral Modification (No Bite History)
10 Weeks | Starting at: $3,600
For dogs showing reactivity, aggression, fear, or resource guarding that hasn't escalated to a bite. This intensive program identifies the root cause of the behavior and rebuilds trust, structure, and clear communication between you and your dog through targeted behavior modification protocols — not just obedience commands layered on top of an unresolved issue.
Behavioral Modification (With Bite History)
10-12 Weeks | Starting at $4500
Our most intensive program, designed for dogs with a documented bite history who need comprehensive rehabilitation and management. This program combines behavior modification, safety protocols, and owner education to reduce risk and rebuild a stable, manageable relationship with your dog. Given the complexity and liability involved, this program includes closer oversight and a more customized plan than our standard offerings.
