I found Sue on the Bark website. What a lucky find!! She managed our full kitchen remodel; layout & design. Her professionalism and attention to every detail is incredible. She walked us through the whole process and was completely on target throughout the complete design phase and made every step a seamless transition. Before I came across Sue, we had several other "designers" try to come up with a floor plan (which includes a very difficult space) - or so we thought - because they didn't solve our space issue. We were seriously considering not moving forward with the remodel. That is until Sue came along. Sue was the only one who absolutely "got it" right at the start! I just can't say enough about her! We are starting the construction phase in early January 2025, but Sue has our design plans completely dialed in and ready for our contractor! She has been available every time I've called about various questions and she is super responsive and knowledgeable about all issues relating to remodeling of any kind! What’s your interior design process?
Our design process varies depending on the type of project, size and consultation service required. However, for a full room -or bigger- design projects, we do initial phone call, followed by introductory virtual or in person meeting - depending on the project size and complexity- We then submit a fee proposal. Upon agreement, we start our design process that consists of three phases. The design brainstorming phase, followed by the design documents phase. We provide a fixed price for these two phases. The third phase if required, is usually about providing contractors and clients with technical clarifications and support during construction, it can be charged hourly or per additional agreement. I have so much passion for my job, I love thinking outside the box!
What inspired you to start your own business?
After 20 years of designing domestically and internationally in multiple countries and cities such as Dubai and Frankfurt, and California, it was time to start my own design studio!
