Joelle is a fantastic designer and I recommend her very highly. She worked with me on coming up with a design for my new living room (400 square feet). I already had some ideas and a couple of existing pieces of furniture. Joelle was able to rapidly understand what I would like, accommodate my existing pieces, and propose a couple of alternatives. She then worked with me through refining until we had a final design. The final design had a perfect mix of modern and vintage furniture, rugs and accessories, some from places like DWR, others more unique. I decided to buy the items myself, and she gave me excellent leads for purchasing. All of this within my timeframe of a few weeks.

Joelle keeps it real, and is a true professional. She is far more talented than her price point would suggest. Many of my friends have used expensive design professionals, and are envious I worked with someone so good without the tens of thousands of dollars in expenditure they have incurred. More...

I did an in-person consultation with Joelle this week - roughly one hour. I'm in the midst of a full apartment renovation, and needed coaching and professional insight picking wall paint colors, as well as cabinet colors. I'm in the midst of a full apartment renovation, and needed guidance on picking paint colors. I'd been researching paint colors for months, and honestly had lost confidence and perspective to make a final decision without input from a professional. I wanted to go with bolder paint colors, but was also doing this application in a classic one-bedroom apartment in the Upper West Side. Joelle's portfolio made sense when I thought about what I needed, and I sought her out for an in-person consultation. I walked her through my current options, what I was looking for, and where I was 'stuck' making decisions. She convinced the client to do a few easy modifications which really updated the home and helped us find a buyer. Joelle is an absolute pleasure to work with. She is extremely articulative and creative - she helped redesign our space with out us having to spend thousands of dollars. She used what we already have - added a few nice touches and reorganized our living room to feel more airy and spacious.
