Personal Trainers

I have been training with Jon, and I couldn't be happier with the results and the overall experience thus far. He focuses on the six key movements of the human body: squat, hinge, push, pull, lunge, and carry. His deep understanding of anatomy and his ability to tailor workouts to my personal abilities and goals have been instrumental in my choosing to work with him.

What sets Jon apart is his attentiveness and kindness. He pays close attention to every detail, ensuring that my form is perfect and that I'm getting the most out of each exercise while avoiding injury. His communication skills are top-notch, always explaining the purpose of each movement and how it benefits my overall fitness.

The methods he uses are both effective and attainable. Jon continuously adapts the workouts to keep them challenging and engaging, which has helps me stay motivated and excited about my fitness journey.

Additionally, the location of his facility is convenient and easily accessible.

5 stars and two big thumbs up 👍👍 Jon came highly recommended by my physical therapist because not only is Jon capable of working with clients who have an injury (such as myself) but because he is an incredibly talented lifting coach. Jon's passion for Olympic and traditional powerlifting is infectious! I've been working with him for almost 4 months now, having never done Olympic lifting, and I love every minute of it. I have not only fallen in love with the sport but I have a new appreciation for what we're all capable of, and I'm not an exercise-for-exercise-sake kind of person. He customizers each workout, each week, to have the right mix of challenging, educational, and interesting to keep me engaged and improving week after week. He is careful to not push me beyond what I am physically capable of doing, but challenges me enough to show me I am stronger than I think I am. I have been a Strength 101 online client for just over a year. The most impressive thing to me about Jon is his commitment to delivering the best coaching and mentoring no matter what your goals are. He is not devoted to any one style of training. Rather, he uses his vast knowledge of physiology and techniques to customize individual plans. I am always impressed with the time he takes to conduct a personal check in every week, to make adjustments to the training schedule, and give feedback after (or during) every session. Jon is dedicated to learning and staying on top of the latest in research based recommendations for fitness, which means you will be working with one of the best. If you're looking for a coach, do not hesitate to hire Jon. He's a fantastic coach (and person). He's very knowledgeable in all things weight training--not just form, but the physiology, how you train, why you do certain movements, etc. There was also zero pressure -- he let me tell him how often I wanted to meet with him and really tailored the program for me and my needs. I met with him in person so I could learn the proper techniques and then transitioned to virtual coaching (he programs workouts for me in an online program that is great). Both he (and the program) keep me accountable, which is something I definitely need. He checks in with me on my workout days to see how things are going (and sometimes on my non-workout days, like the time I had an injury and had some suggestions for that too =) Hire him. Mr. Jonathan Owen is a true professional. He has been very methodical and responsive, and expresses true care and considerateness in his approach to physical training. I have had just one in-person meeting with him, but it’s clear he is very knowledgeable and is skillfull. He makes very careful judgements/assessments, and is an excellent instructor. I’d say he is made for this profession of strength training.

I've worked with several personal trainers before and Jon Owen has given me the best experience by far. My workouts with Jon are creative in as much as he is always thinking about new and different ways to help me achieve my goals. Jon also explains, for example, why a certain tricep exercise provides more value than another, in terms that make total sense to me.
