We had the pleasure of having Joe Stephens as the DJ for our private New Year’s Eve party in downtown Chicago, and he absolutely exceeded all expectations.
Joe’s ability to incorporate the foreign-language music selections we provided beforehand was remarkable. He timed them perfectly, especially around the countdown and the moments following, which made the evening feel truly personalized and special.
Throughout the night, he seamlessly took requests and kept the dance floor alive with a fantastic mix of music that catered to all tastes. His transitions were smooth, and he created an incredible party vibe that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Out of all the vendors definitely the hardest to get a hold of, charged for the cold spark machines that we never got to use due to our venue, and uplighting that looked like it was half way done. If I could go back and do it all over again would have went with a different DJ. More...

Yes, there was a period of several months that a family member was literally dying in our home, so there were a couple of times a return call took a day or 2. The extenuating circumstances of the venue disallowing items' you'd contracted were unfortunate but we went above and beyond to attempt to work with the venue who did not wind up accommodating the request. The amount of lighting booked by the client was not quite apropos for the size of the room A very lovely couple, we're sorry you were unhappy but the event was an overall success, and we attempted fiercely to show the venue and local entities the safety of the machines to try to have them approved. It was great working with Ovation DJ, Joe was very accommodated to our requests, very easy to work with
And the best part was that I need it a DJ in a last minute request, it was Wednesday night and I needed for Friday and he had a last minute cancellation that allows him to help me.
