What’s your interior design process?
We start with a discovery call to understand how you live, what you need, and what you've always wanted but never had. From there we move through concept development, design refinement, documentation, and full project management through to installation. Every step is handled with precision and communicated clearly so you always know where your project stands. No surprises, no chaos, just a clear path from where you are to where you want to be.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
All of them, but more importantly, yours. Whether you're drawn to clean modern lines, warm organic textures, bold industrial edge, or timeless traditional elegance, we start with who you are and build from there. We don't have a signature look we impose on every project. We have a signature standard of excellence we bring to every client.
What do you love most about your job?
The moment a client walks into their finished space for the first time. Every time, without exception, it stops them. That pause before the words come is everything. Knowing that we built something that genuinely moves someone, that finally feels like theirs, never gets old.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to do it differently. The traditional design experience is fragmented, stressful, and often leaves clients feeling overwhelmed and out of the loop. I built Shaye Marie Designs around the belief that the process should be as peaceful as the result. Owning my own firm meant I could build that experience from the ground up without compromise.

Yes. While we are based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, we work with clients throughout the Pacific Northwest and take on select projects nationally. Virtual consultations, digital design presentations, and remote project management allow us to deliver the same high level experience regardless of location. Distance is not a barrier to exceptional design.
