They were very patient and reassuring as we’re not very good at visualizing the proposed changes and now we’re so grateful for their ability to see the potential in our home. They had so many great ideas for our new siding, doors, windows and even the idea to top the pickets on the fence made a huge difference. My husband and I hired Romero + Obeji (Hector and Chris) about this time last year to help us decorate our home. We've lived in this house for 15 years and are in the midst of raising our three kids. Until now we just moved furniture around as the kids grew and our needs changed. Last year we realized it was time for a bigger change as we now have two teenagers and a 10 year old. We were ready for our home to be more adult and to showcase our style while still being friendly to our kids and their friends. Our project turned out amazing and we took out all the things in our home that had no use any longer including columns, fireplace, and master bathroom tub. We have a timeless design that will take us through many more years at our home. Although our project was in Texas, we had no issues with Hector and Chris being in California. I highly recommend Romero + Obeji Interior Design. My husband and I decided a few months ago that we were ready, after 15 years and raising 3 kids in this house, to finally decorate our home the way we wanted. We realized that we had no idea where to start and we were afraid of making costly mistakes so we decided to hire an interior designer. We are so happy that we found Romero + Obeji Interior Design. Hector and Chris spent a considerable amount of time with our family learning not only our decorating tastes, but also getting to know who we all are and how we hoped to use our space. They then successfully transformed our house that was previously terribly dated and full of awkward and unused spaces into a home that is current (yet timeless), welcoming and flows seamlessly from room to room. They found high quality painters and helped us select beautiful paint for our walls and cabinets that brightened every inch of our home; they sourced a beautiful counter top and back splash material that easily updated our kitchen; they designed our living spaces so that each room became a usable space; and then they furnished the home with a mix of new pieces (that you will not find in any furniture showroom or your neighbor's house) and some of our existing pieces to create a home that is beautiful and truly reflects our family and our tastes. What’s your interior design process?
Hector + Chris take the time required to fully understand their clients design and decorative dreams as well as lifestyle, level of expectation, financial parameters, and timeline. ​​
They dive in using their endless creativity and ingenuity to develop and present a custom design plan for the entire project to allow clients to easily grasp the concepts created. This Includes floor plan, lighting plan, furnishings layout, and images of furnishings. Samples are presented of all surface materials to see feel and touch including, fabrics, paint colors, etc.​
After clients' full review and revisions, if necessary, and final approvals Hector + Chris move into the procurement phase and it is All Hands-on Deck! They begin placing orders and navigating logistics so their team can deliver design finish materials and furnishings to meet important project schedule.
If there are renovations or new construction required, our team will provide contractors and custom build vendors with build details right away, to allow crafts persons work to be completed by installation day.

We have extensive knowledge and over 20 years of experience in all residential design genres, traditional to modern and anything in between. We are also versed in various lifestyles from suburban to urban and work with many international clients. Busy clients love working with us!

What inspired you to start your own business?
In 2000, Hector + Chris found themselves working for the same high-end wholesale custom furnishings manufacturing and interior design company in the Palm Springs, California area. Hector served as President and designer, while Chris specialized in product design.​
In 2004, they made the joint decision to venture into entrepreneurship, founding their own design company to attain complete creative and business autonomy. Since then, their partnership has thrived, leading to sustained success and fruitful collaboration.​
Today, drawing upon their wealth of professional and life experiences, they find joy in every project they undertake, happily crafting designs for their clients.

Complimentary Initial Consultation
We offer a casual in-home meeting with us where you may ask any number of questions both creative and business. In turn, we will gather information about you and your home afterward providing a professional evaluation/proposal which is based on your design requirements.
