Over the course of a few months, through a combination of in home training and ‘field trips’, Emma was able to work with my dog to increase his independence and confidence. He is now able to go on walks without pulling his leash toward other dogs, he can stay home without becoming destructive, and his separation anxiety has decreased significantly. This is one I would not recommend. Here's what we got: All upfront payment to 'secure' your calendar spot, which didn't happen. No outline of a plan, just told by phone; many times, she wanted you to go to her, vs. her coming to you as she promised (no upfront warning or reason why); we were asked to reschedule many days once secured on the calendar by paying upfront. This one promised a lot, playing on emotions with no value as there was no change to the dog's behavior other than using included e-collar, and we followed every direction given. We recommend a written plan outline for what will be done and payment schedule in case things do not happen as planned. Pay per session is best if you do go through with it. More...

Emma is literally the best!!! She is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, which is evident from the first time you talk to her. She gives personalized recommendations based on your dog’s breed and temperament. You will often find yourself thinking, “she knows her STUFF” after you try something out that she suggests (and it WORKS - the FIRST TIME)! We live in NYC, so we did a series of virtual sessions for our 10 year old rescue who was having serious separation anxiety (in addition to never having any formal training previously). Six sessions later, I can safely say that we have our life back. He is now great on a leash, knows 5-10 commands, and is a MUCH happier dog. Emma is the best dog trainer out there. She helped us train our one year old puppy German Shepherd who is a handful and full of anxiety. We noticed a difference in his behavior immediately following her weekly training sessions. She gained his trust quickly so he was able to follow her commands effectively. He was so excited to see her each week, so when our family trip overseas came up, we asked Emma to board and train him. It was the best decision we could have made. She sent daily updates and he was so happy and made progress the entire stay. It gave us peace of mind while we were gone to know he was taken such good care of by someone we both trusted. I can’t recommend Emma highly enough! From the moment we met, it was clear she had a deep understanding of dogs and a genuine passion for what she does. She worked with our black German Shepherd, Bulmer, who can be a bit strong-willed and protective. Emma handled him with incredible patience, confidence, and care. What truly stood out was how quickly Bulmer responded to her guidance. She helped him become more focused, responsive, and calm in situations that used to make him anxious or reactive. Her positive reinforcement techniques made a huge difference, and Bulmer absolutely adored her. It was amazing to see how excited he was every time he saw her — a true testament to the trust and bond she built with him. Beyond training, Emma took wonderful care of Bulmer. We are so happy we found Emma w/ Pitter Patter Dog Training! Our pit bull, Django had a very rough start, and us as owners needed help too. We are so happy we choose Emma (Pitter Patter) for our dog Django. He was a little anxious pitty with a rough start, she really help him open up, chill out and put him on his way to becoming a great dog. She was so patient with him (and us), and gave him the skills needed to make him a good dog to be around but not a robot that just knows a few commands.
