My name is Matt and I have been working as a personal trainer for over ten years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science with a Master's in Sports Performance. I offer in-home personal training sessions straight to your door! I have all the equipment that you will find at a 'normal' gym (squat rack, dumbbells, barbell, resistance bands, bench, weights, etc), and I setup in the comfort of your own home.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
Simply starting to exercise is a big first step, but you need constant progression to continue to see results. As we work together, and I see the weight becoming too easy, I increase the weight or make the exercise more advanced. The body needs to be challenged continuously in order to see the best results and avoid plateau. I will keep you accountable and track progress in order to see improvement!
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
It starts with not comparing yourself to the Instagram models and all the filters and all your friends. It starts with simply wanting to be a better version of yourself. Feeling inadequate because you can't do an exercise that someone else can do, or someone has a 'better' body than you, won't help you. Be a better you than you were yesterday. Make small sustainable baby steps that you can keep day by day. The results will come.
What do you love most about your job?
I absolutely love building relationships and becoming friends with my clients. I love watching my clients reach their goals and have a better quality of life. I have had the privilege of helping overweight kids lose weight and gain self-esteem. I have helped a 90 year old be able to walk up his stairs which has changed his life! I have clients who have run sub 3 hour marathons with my help. I helped an athlete be able to dunk and receive a scholarship to college for basketball. I have helped a morbidly obese dad lose 100 pounds and be able to run around and play with his son, something he had missed. I just love helping people find joy in exercise and see what their body is capable of, allowing them to live the best possible life they can!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I moved to CT from Indiana and was working in a gym for 6 years when Covid hit and shut down our gym. I had already been thinking about opening up my own business but this was the perfect time, and I started training clients in their home. I went from struggling to thriving and it was so important for people to continue to exercise during these stressful times. Also, many people were afraid or unable to go to traditional gyms, and my services were much safer and convenient.

Yes. I have trained clients online, even while I was traveling in Brazil, I was able to have quality workouts via Facetime.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I started this company in the height of the pandemic, and therefore I clean the equipment with Clorox in between sessions, and can wear a mask if that makes you more comfortable. I have fully vaccinated as well.
