Randy Spencer is a true professional with tons of experience, and it shows when you work with him. He made impactful suggestions that we hadn’t thought of and helped to create special moments throughout the day, from the ceremony through the very end of the night. I spoke with so many DJs, and you’d be surprised how many just don’t respond. Randy was the complete opposite — super responsive to every text, call, and email. Total pro from day one. 2. You know who you’re getting. A lot of DJ companies assign you someone random a few days before the wedding. If they’re not great… well, too bad. With Randy, you know exactly who’s showing up — and trust me, he does not disappoint! 3. He’s flexible. My wedding party was at a bar on Broadway that already had a live band, but we wanted a DJ to emcee, do the wedding party entrance, and play party hits (including songs in other languages the band wouldn’t know). I had the pleasure of working alongside this DJ as the bartender for a wedding this past weekend at Enchanted Springs at Gordon Farms, and I can honestly say—he was phenomenal from start to finish. From the very first moment, I was impressed. Typically, I bring a small speaker for cocktail hour to give the DJ time to transition from the ceremony to the reception—but not this time. He moved effortlessly between both spaces, and before most guests even arrived at the reception, he already had music going and the atmosphere set. That level of efficiency and professionalism is something I rarely see, and it made everything flow perfectly. The playlist was pure magic—every song, every transition, every cue was perfect. I’ve worked with a lot of talented DJs, but none quite at his level. He has this rare ability to read the crowd and keep the energy alive all night long. During cocktail hour, I joked with several guests about whether they’d be hitting the dance floor later—many said “no way.” But sure enough, every single one of them ended up dancing! The floor stayed full from start to finish, and the vibe was pure happiness all night.
