If I could give Nakia from Madison Events more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. From the moment I hired her as my day-of coordinator for my reception, she went above and beyond in every possible way.
Although I only booked her for the day, her work started days beforehand — contacting vendors, making sure every detail was in place, checking in with me, and making sure I had everything I needed leading up to the wedding.
On the day of the reception, she was truly a lifesaver. She kept everything organized, handled things before I even had to think about them, and made sure the day flowed smoothly so I could actually enjoy my wedding. I honestly do not know how I would have made it through the day without her.
Her professionalism, attention to detail, kindness, and dedication were unmatched. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and wants their day to be perfect. The secret to keeping a party dancing all night long is reading the crowd and creating the right flow of energy. It’s all about mixing the perfect combination of music—blending crowd favorites, throwback hits, and current chart-toppers while timing each transition to keep the momentum going. A great DJ knows when to build excitement, when to drop a high-energy track, and when to switch things up to keep guests engaged. Add in smooth transitions, clear sound, and a few well-timed surprises, and you create an atmosphere where people don’t want to leave the dance floor.
What makes photo booths such a great alternative to traditional photographers?
I believe the photo booth is that definitely a great invention where people have fun and do different kinds of videos such as boomerangs and GIFs which makes the experience more fun.
What photo booth props do you offer?
We are for all kinds of props. Where you have the mustache, we have hats and we got different signs where we can hold up on the photo booth and just make sure experience that more enjoyable.
What’s your signature dish?
I believe the best signature dish that we do have is actually the Asian which is the lo mein and fried rice. Also the jerk chicken wings.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We definitely try to keep it basic but have food on there that everybody likes and familiar with and try to make it delicious to the best of our ability.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the interaction with different people and cultures that I can bring experience in providing good taste to an event. I believe any party or event should be a day of remembrance to someone that makes someone happy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love what I do in trying to bring the very best in advising and putting on a show displaying what I have learned over the years.
