I rarely write reviews, but my experience left me so disappointed, frustrated, and honestly heartbroken that I feel compelled to warn others. I also encourage others who are in my situation to warn others about this Bark company. I joined Bark with genuine hope. I believed I was investing in a platform that would help me grow my business and connect with real people who needed my services. I spent £168 on my first bundle — not a small amount for a small business like mine — and I was excited when several leads came in quickly. For a moment, I truly felt hopeful. But that hope disappeared almost immediately. The first “lead” didn’t even seem aware that she had requested anything. She asked vague questions and told me she’d “get back to me,” which already felt odd. The second person left me even more confused; instead of talking about property management (the service she supposedly needed), she went off into unrelated conversations and even suggested I buy a more expensive Bark subscription. It didn’t feel like a genuine enquiry — it felt rehearsed, wrong, and deeply unsettling. Another call was cut off abruptly and never answered again. And one “lead” even asked me to pay her £50 to get additional leads. That moment genuinely made my stomach drop. I had already paid Bark £20 for that very lead. How was this even happening? Each time I tried to make sense of things, I felt more lost — like I was paying for shadows, not actual people who needed my services. It’s a horrible feeling when you start doubting every call, every message, every pound you’ve spent. When I reached out to Bark hoping for help, clarity, or at the very least understanding, I was basically told to “keep trying.” I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable — just leads that felt real, or at least acknowledgement that something didn’t add up. But instead, I felt dismissed, like my concerns didn’t matter because the money was already taken. Being refused a refund felt like being pushed even further down. I tried to use the remaining credit because I didn’t want my hard-earned money to go to waste, but the same pattern repeated. And every time another lead failed, it wasn’t just business loss — it was emotionally draining. It’s exhausting to keep trying when your trust has already been broken. I understand others may have had better experiences, and I don’t deny that genuine leads might exist. But my experience was painful, discouraging, and financially damaging — and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone else, especially small business owners trying to build something honest. I am sharing this because I wish someone had warned me. I am sharing this because small businesses deserve transparency. I am sharing this because losing money hurts — but losing trust hurts even more. Please, if you're considering Bark, be cautious. Ask questions. Protect your time, your energy, and your hard-earned income. My experience left me feeling disheartened and let down, and I hope yours will be different — but I also hope this review helps someone make an informed decision. Clive was brilliant, he came at very short notice and worked extremely hard during the evening. Bark promise was to bring clients who need architectural service and need hire an architect. Not a true. Contacted client provided pure not wanted communication, or just pull information for free without intention of hire. The weirdest was when I offered to come to do the site visit for free - they never come back. I assume the Real client who put demand on BARK for hiring architect -professional would be happy to hear advice and show the site to architect. From 8 contacts I have met only one guy and he was on the very beginning of idea of doing house extension. Found an accountant through Bark to work out our tax liability, However received only half of the work agreed and paid in full for. No real help from Bark, just useless forms and excuses. Useless !
