Our groomer, Jonathan, was amazing. Hands down 100/10 and would recommend him 100% percent. He was so patient with our baby since it was her first grooming, she was so nervous but he managed to work with her at her own pace. Jonathan did not give up even with the impossible case we gave him with our husky’s winter coat shedding. We had our 2nd groomer from Kontota come a 2 weeks ago. We chose Kontota because our first groomer was AMAZING and clearly cared for our girl and she came in the door looking fluffy and happy. This did NOT occur two weeks ago. The groomer, from the beginning, told my husband that our double coated Bernedoodle might need to be shaved. What? My husband made it clear that is not what we wanted. Well, that s exactly what she did. Since that appointment, our loving and happy dog has been very clingy and not herself. We left a review when we received the text to do so and received a call shortly after. We explained everything that went on, the lady who called pulled up both photos of “final product” and could see what we were saying. We were told we would receive a call back as they needed to do an investigation. That has not occurred and we will never use this company again. Besides the shave, not cut that went on, the customer service has been sub par and we spent a lot of money for a grooming and groomer that does not to appear to have lovingly taken care of our dog. Do not recommend … it’s luck of the draw who you get to groom. Some good some not. They also overcharge and are misleading on pricing and when they have a scheduling mishap they refuse to make it right on customers behalf. Kontota Grooming promptly replied to my inquiry, asking details about my dogs and what was most important to me when having them groomed. They set me up right away with a wonderful groomer, who was able to come to my house that very same week. Options were given to me in advance of which grooming package I wanted to choose, and the groomer took wonderful care of each dog. This business is excellent! They came within the arrival window, and took care of my baby. Oso is a ball of anxiety, but I left him in great hands with Lisa. We are now her loyal regulars! She worked on his nails, teeth, anal glands, gave him a bath and an oat bath, and even sent me a picture mid bath, because she knew I would want to see it.
