Kara is a total professional. Not only is she early with set up and more than ready to go by party time, she is bubbly and interactive all night. My 40 party goers loved her, even those too shy to get up in front of people. They were comfortable singing along from their seats. Also, Kara has a wonderful voice and fills in and adds support to singers who lose their way or need a little volume support. She made my Karaoke dreams come true. My only regret is not starting a little later and going longer. People often need a little liquid courage to get going, but once they do, they don't want to stop. I reached out to Kara for a housewarming party. Even though we were in the midst of the busy holiday season, every communication with her was prompt and clear, and she seemed very invested in making sure she was prepared for the evening. If you're looking for a fun way to hang with friends or family virtually during the pandemic and even after, this is it! Kara (who has the best name to be a karaoke trivia host, btw) and Debralee and took us through several categories to test our musical knowledge and singing. Their personalities made the game so engaging and they have really figured out how to create a fun and competitive game night that works on Zoom. I played with a group of 9 friends on three teams and we all had the greatest time you can possibly have not all being in the same place. A couple weekends ago I tried a new type of online event with Kara Karaoke.  This is a creative and FUN way to host parties online!   It's fast, fun, and don't worry, you're not expected to sing songs or anything... unless you want to sing your answers :)This wasn't an online karaoke event, but rather a QUIZ SHOW.  Everything was really well organized.  Essentially up to 16 people can play a 1 hour game.   We took a 5 minute online quiz in advance of the game to provide our musical background.  That really helps the flow of the game.  I divided the groups into teams, I wasn't very prepared and a few people didn't join, but our facilitators Kara and Debralee were super flexible and friendly.  We even had a quick breakout room with only our team to strategize on the final answer.We played games like name that tune and a boggle type game for song lyrics.  The time flew by!This was a great way to connect with friends remotely.  I could see this being a fun team builder type activity too.Please check out Kara Karaoke for more details!!!  <a href="/redir?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.karakaraoke.com%2F&amp;s=605f729fe7354dcfaf56ffc3e039a86aecb0351f6979b5e4beb8fe99970bd09d" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">karakaraoke.com</a> More...

We were lucky to spend some "virtual time" with Kara during quarantine to create a storybook.  Kara worked with my son Reese in creating a story inspired by some of his favorite songs.  Kara patiently and enthusiastically helped Reese create a book with all the far out imagination of a 7 year old :)  She emailed us the printed version of the story and he was able to illustrate it.  He was so proud of story he was able to take it grandparents and cousins to share it.  Reese had a fantastic time working with Kara and asked if she could be his second grade teacher:)  Such a creative idea!  Thank you Kara! My 7 year old daughter and her best friend did a zoom meeting with Kara for a story-writing session.  They LOVED it!  Kara is extremely outgoing and friendly and was able to draw both girls (who are pretty shy! ) out of their shells to create a very imaginative story.  My daughter is currently obsessed with The Descendants on Disney, so she was pumped to create a story that used those songs.  She also changed her mind about what songs she wanted to use a few times during the session (as 7 year olds do!) and Kara was great about thinking on the fly and shifting gears.  I have 3 small kids, so it was so nice for me as a parent to actually walk away and take a brain break, knowing my daughter was actively engaged and having fun.  I was amazed that Kara was able to create a cohesive story out of their ideas, which she emailed me only a few hours later.  I love that the girls will have this story for posterity.  Such a cute idea.  We as parents need more things like this!!  Highly recommend. Kara Karaoke was the MC and Karaoke DJ at a party the an organization The Angel City Chorale threw.   It was by far the most fun I have ever had at a Karaoke party.  She even made suggestions for songs that fit everyone like a glove.  She also incorporated other guests into each act by providing fun props like play guitars, boas, tambourines and an additional microphone so that others could be play back up singers and band members. I am writing this review because first and foremost I want to say that I love Kara Karaoke! Kara was the epitome of professionalism, verve, cheerfulness, and a can do attitude throughout the entire process of working with her. <br><br>I hired Kara Karaoke to do my wedding, which was an intimate affair in the backyard of my parent's cabin. It was sort of a Midsummer Night's Dream kind of thing with dinner and dancing overlooking the lake, with a retro-70s theme, mismatched old timey décor, pixie lights, fireworks, a gourmet pizza truck we had come out from the city, campfire songs, and of course karaoke! The location was remote, outdoors, hard to get to, and worse yet the forecast called for rain. Not only did Kara and her assistant travel to the cabin, but also were totally cool with staying overnight in a cabin nearby that we provided. She also lugged all her gear and was beyond supportive when I was freaking out all day that the event would be ruined by the rain, which had been coming down hard since the morning. She set up in the rain and provided all the mics and brought her state of the art sound system, which we staged under a tent.<br><br>I should also mention that I had a special karaoke request, i.e.: I wanted to sing my first dance song to my wife (Stevie's Wonder's "Knocks Me Off My Feet") while we danced. I also wanted a whole host of my best friends, all amazing singers, to sing the father/daughter and mother/son dances, and many other numbers. I also wanted to finish off the karaoke section with my own rendition of "Welcome to the Jungle" to take everything up a notch before the fireworks! Kara was so great that she sent me and all of my friends practice tracks via email and even a transposed a track of "Heat Wave" for my mother-in-law to sing on the evening. Kara and her assistant also sang an amazing rendition of "Africa" by Toto, which you should totally ask her to do at your event! I should also mention that I was very apprehensive about having karaoke at all because my extended family are all farmers and quite reserved, and I was worried that they wouldn't understand something so untraditional (in their eyes) as karaoke at a wedding. But Kara assured me that she had done this kind of thing many times, for all kinds of different couples and that everything would be fine. <br><br>In the end, the rain let up (as Kara had promised me it would), the sun came out and set over the lake majestically as we ate dinner and danced, and the night went off without a hitch. And more than that, my extended family had the time of their lives and danced the whole night away. Kara facilitated all of it seamlessly as we moved from pre-ceremony, to ceremony, to cocktails, to dinner, to speeches, karaoke, and fireworks. And in the campfire section, Kara gave us an amazing rendition of "Total Eclipse of the Heart", which her assistant played on ukulele to go along with all the tried and true guitar songs that our family plays at every occasion we have. It was a really nice, new addition.<br><br>Lastly, at my request, Kara stuck around the next day and did what I coined daytime "Hung-over Karaoke" with my family by the lake. She even coaxed some of my more shy family members to get up and give it all they had on the mic. It was an amazing 2 days that I know my wife and I will never forget.<br><br>All-in-all, I cannot recommend Kara Karaoke highly enough. She will make your event amazing and special and one-of-a-kind. She WAY, WAY exceeded my expectations and her commitment and professionalism are boundless.
